Oh my goodness, this is such a small town eatery. Tons of junk and comfort food to fill your belly big with delicious fixings. The food comes out relatively fast and piping hot. Definitely great for fun snack time with friends or to be fat solo. read more

The service was slow. The ambiance has an old-school look that I love, but the fries tasted like Long John Silver's, which made me sad. I really wanted this to be great. But I just can't. Been eating here since a small boy back in the last century. The corn dogs are still not bad. But the other stuff wavers from okay to not great at all. Except for the burgers, they are just bad, bad, bad! I just can't do the boiled, steamed burger thing. It's just not an old fashioned burger! If you want that in this town go over to the little hole in the wall on 4th street at lunch time. The burgers here taste like the cardboard salisbury steaks the public schools once served in the cafeteria, only worse. I really wish it wasn't the case. But you can't get enough extras to cover that steamed/watery meat taste. It's sad, this place had such a great history and was once a treat to come too. But it just isn't the same and those burgers are gross. The staff are okay, but i get it they probably don't get paid enough to endure the elements to walk back and forth. I love these types of spots. Everytime I come here I get the bacon cheeseburger and tots. I was initially told.by a friend to order it and it didn't let me down so I'm not going to change it. Stay in your car bc they will come out and take your order, staff is fast and very friendly on both occasions. Food is great and cheap. Used to be a great spot to eat. Went this evening and had to stop a carhop to order after 3 cars came in after me and got waited on and 1 got food and left, then what I wanted to order was out of! We stopped here with two purposes. One to eat and two to get out of a storm warning. We pulled into a clearly marked spot that happens to overlap with the drive thru. The waitress was delivering food to the next car and when she saw us she rolled her eyes, pointed at us, and made some mocking comment to the customer she was helping. The service is the only good thing I found here. I ordered 2 hot dogs and the waitress asked if I would just like a footlong. Sounded good. I got 2 - 6" hot dogs (that they dont make) placed on a footlong bun which wasnt steamed or anything. For a place that specializes in hot dogs, this was really disappointing. Nothing here you cant do at home and probably make it taste better. At least its incredibly cheap. Can't say you dont get what you pay for here. read more
