I discovered Dixie Nutrition through an app called "Too Good to Go".... which allows people to buy groceries/products that are at their expiration date and would be thrown out. I love the idea of reducing food waste and especially love the surprise aspect where we don't know what we will get. The store specializes in nutritional products, vegan and healthy stuff. You're probably not going to find snacky things with lots of preservatives or additives, much to the dismay of my Dorito-loving son. It's more of an "ingredient" store for folks who are health conscious. I'd imagine it gets slammed in January/February with all the new year resolutions folks. What a great little nutrition/grocery store! If there's a vitamin or supplement you need they probably have it!! There aren't many groceries but they have the organic, natural and (for me) hard to find vegan items, lots is spices, and good snacks. I went into Dixie Nutrition today. They've got to be the only store in town without a mask mandate. There was 1 other customer in there...an old lady, no mask. What is wrong with these people. Dixie Nutrition is a wonderful store with great people working there. I am a healthy person & only wear a mask if requested at the door. Masks are great if you are sick or have a compromised immune system to protect yourself. It will not stop that tiny little virus from going through. If you are healthy, by not wearing a mask you will build your immune system & save your organs from breathing your own carbon monoxide. Pretty good selection for the market they're in. It's a little on the pricey side, but a good store for organic and gluten free options. The service has always been excellent and the employees seem to know their stuff. There's a good selection for those wanting to get away from the heavily processed, mostly chemical foods. read more

They have a pretty good selection of healthy foods and good products.. They do have really good Frozen yogurt that is a healthy alternative.. This is one of my go to stores being pregnant... I do think this place is a bit on the expensive side but I still like coming here for certain items that I can not find elsewhere.. read more

Dixie nutrition has a good selection of organic and gluten free options. It's pricey, but I feel that is to be expected in an area like Saint George since we are fairly isolated. Everything I have bought is high quality and their frozen yogurt is quite good and a favorite of my children. read more

I've been a very longtime customer, watching the business go downhill. My last visit was the final straw. The kids hanging around behind the counter never offer customer service, only the older ladies. I used to enjoy the dole whip yogurt, however, I now am concerned about the cleanliness. The floor is always filthy. My last visit, had bags of open bulk food items spilled and on the floor. When I pointed this out to the lady helping me, she said one of the boys behind the counter was filling the bulk foods, that's why they were on the floor! Actually he was not doing anything except socializing behind the register with other young men. As I walked down the aisle, I noticed cardboard boxes of soda, partially opened where some soda had been removed from the plastic. All the soda should have been removed, stacked nicely & the trash thrown away. As I walked down another aisle I became so disgusted by the filth on top of the jars & cans of items that had been on the shelf too long, I walked out. I usually shop after 5:30 so the kids are always there fooling around. Maybe it would be different in the morning with caring staff, however it is so dirty I can't bring myself to purchase any thing there again. Part of healthy is being clean. The prices are higher than Natural Grocers & Amazon (including shipping) I like to shop local, but in this case after years of a continuous negative expierence, it isn't possible.
