I'm a big supporter of local business owners, especially when they're new. We ordered from Dixon hoagie hut and it was the worst hoagies I've ever had in my entire life very flimsy not enough meat on. Italian hoagies and Philly chicken steak hoagies need to know how to make it .for 13.95 a piece on hoagies you should be getting a nice big juicy hoagie. These people continue on doing business like this. They're not gonna have a business. They need to ramp up Their sandwiches and add more meat and make it worth 13.95. I've driven by for years and finally decided to stop and try their hoagies. The roll was a fresh bakery style, which was tasty! The quality of ingredients were fresh and the service was great. Inside was spotless! I'll def be back to try more of their subs! read more

Horrible business and horrible service! I've gotten hair in my hoagies. Very limited toppings. Prices keep increasing. Clarks Summit Location: They only take cash? You should it make it as simple as possible for your customer to give you money. Then they tell you to use their ATM? 3.5 Stars. While these may be the best hoagies in the area, they are not the best hoagies. Coming from a city with Primos Hoagies and Sarcones rolls, it's hard to really live up to those standards so depending on what you're used to, your gauge may be different. This used to be a go to stop for us when in the area. The hoagies and rolls were pretty darn good so we decided to order them for our daughter's party we threw at the state park. We figured it was easier than grilling. I called several times to see if they would deliver since we had a larger order. They wouldn't. Period. It kind of turned me off. We were willing to pay a decent delivery fee too just to make our morning of errand running for the party easier. They said they only deliver to businesses. We were ordering for 25 people. Up there that's about the size of a business, but it was still a no. Anyway, we picked up the hoagie trays which is 8 large hoagies cut into 1/4 pieces per tray and they were sent the wrong dome lids so they wrapped our trays with Saran but it was starting to come off. Not a huge deal and not their fault I just expected to really be able to keep them fresh and the flies away especially since out party was outside. The Italian and turkey were stuffed but the cheese was lacking and the veggies were strictly lettuce and tomato. Our guests wondered if the meat had fallen off. I expected grilled veggies or peppers or something. People ate them and enjoyed them. The turkey is my husband's favorite. He likes it a lot. They sent all the fixings we asked for separate which was great. Every last one of them went and it was definitely easier than cooking ourselves, but I probably wouldn't order for a party again unless I ask specifically about making the cheese more filled and ask for specific ingredients in the veggie. Since reopening in July of '14 under new management, the place has gone complete crap. The prices on all hoagies have gone up, which is understandable, if they were not making a profit, HOWEVER the quality and quantity has drastically went down... Whoever manages them obviously has told them to put in at least half the meat and ingredients to save a buck.... Cheap. Subway destroys them on quality, quantity, and price... which isn't saying much at all. I am 100% for supporting local business, and its take ALOT for me to quit on a place. I gave this place a shot 5 times over the past 6 months, since reopening, each time it was worse than the prior. The last time i was there, I pulled a 8 inch red hair out of my hoagie. That was the last straw.... I sent them a private Facebook message about the issue 2 months ago... and surprise... no response. I have been cooming here for years. Now since there has been a change in ownership, I believe today is my last visit. Not only have prices gone up significantly. ..almost 2.00 per hoagie, the quality and service has hit bottom. Today my italian hoagie had maybe 2 slices of fatty ham and a couple slices of pepperoni, provolone cheese, and some shreds of lettuce and onion. This was my third and last attempt for their redemption. Last week, my italian hoagie had both Oil and Vinegar and mayo. Gross!! Dixon's Hoagie Hut truly is as good as it gets for this part of the state. Northeastern Pennsylvania has many solid offerings in the hoagie category, and Dixon's is right up there with the best of them. For as long as I can remember -- at least the last 25 years or so -- the culinary geniuses behind the simple counter (who know that genius is often found in simplicity) haven't messed around with what works. The Hoagie Hut is a long-standing landmark in Factoryville and has the best cheese steaks in the area, hands down. I actually like these better than the Gino's and Pat's of the world that claim dominance of the cheese steak world. Hoagie Hut is family owned and has great service and great food. You can't go wrong with the large cheese steak - add American cheese, onions, peppers, and mayo for the full experience. Bam! read more

CASH ONLY!!! Hoagies are good for NEPA but cash only...is it 1987, in this day and age you loose more business then it's worth by paying the credit card fees. And if you're worried about hiding money from the IRS you'll still have plenty of cash to hide and they're not worried about a tiny sub shop in NEPA. I've been coming here for a long, long time. While their sandwiches aren't the fanciest they certainly hold their own against stalwarts such as Defonte's in Brooklyn, NY and Sarcone's in Philly. My favorite is the tuna salad with everything (except lettuce. I hate lettuce!) on it. The rest of their sandwiches, especially their cheesesteaks, are wonderful as well. They are very generous with the pickles & cole slaw, and the prices are right. I even order extra heroes to bring back home. The interior is pretty sparse. Junky in fact. Lived in Philadelphia for thirty years and had many cheese steaks. Saw this place across from Gays hardware in a small strip mall. Did a search on the Internet and saw many favorable reviews. Doesn't look like much from the outside but decided to give them a try. The inside is ok, nothing remarkable but I like the open kitchen. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Now for the food. Had a cheese steak hoagie on my first trip and as I said before having many cheese steaks in my lifetime in Philadelphia this hoagie was very good and better then some in Philadelphia. As with some reviews about the size of the hoagie it's a little smaller then I'm used to but still not too small. Went back yesterday and gave the Italian hoagie a try. Also very good. So if your looking for a satisfying decent size hoagie for under $8 this place is a win. read more

Tried the Tunkhannock location a while ago. It is NOTHING like Dixon's Hoagie Hut used to be back in the day! The bun was so crusty it injured that little piece of skin behind my front teeth. You know how that feels... It doesn't go away until a day or two later! My hoagie was so small I had to open it to see if there was anything in it! There were minimal amounts of meat and cheese. The staff were quite busy on their cell phones. Whatever texts they were receiving were far more important than customer service. So no thank you Hoagie Hut, I have other options. read more

Born and raised in T-town. Being a child of the 70s and 80s, I have had my fair share of stops at Hoagie Hut. I moved out of state about 10 years ago and have not had one of their cheese steaks in about 20 years. In a trip back home to spend time with the family, I was thrilled to see a Tunkhannock location open. I ordered the cheese steak(of course). Looks about the same except a lot less meat. Rolls are the standard "long tube" style they have always been. Taste is still pretty darn good. Service at the Tunkhannock location was prompt and friendly. I know...they have never taken cash, but I rarely carry cash on me anymore and thinking that "it's 2017" (yet forgetting that I'm back in Wyoming County) I assumed that they would accept debit or credit cards. However, I was directed to the ATM and a $2.75 surcharge later...I was on my way. A fair representation of what I remember as a kid. Good spot. read more

Ok this restaurants food is good no one is questioning that but the way they treat their "employees" is appalling. They hire people with the intentions of paying them under the table which is highly illegal and then when they get bored of you randomly they call or text you saying that your services are no longer needed. By far the most unprofessional establishment I have been in. It really does sadden me to see so many good faces let go from there. They don't give any good reasons for being "let go" only to find out that they just want to hire new people whom they can push around with out being able to defend yourself because they can just "fire" you for no reason and you can't fight this because everything is illegal and paid under the table. Let alone the amount of taxes that this place avoids paying by paying their employees like this, we all pay our fair share so why not this local business.
