I have never been to a restaurant where not one of us finished the food. We couldn't even eat half. I read reviews that were all favorable and thought we'd try it out. Service and food were quick even though the soup never came. $7 for a kids meal that consisted of all sauce on a plate with 3 raviolis. Not large ones. The generic small ones. That's something for a 2 year old. Not 10. The fries tasted and looked like they were fried multiple times. The spaghetti was so overcooked it was just mush. The chicken fingers were actually chicken patties (if you have kids you know this is an issue). I got the hot roast beef sandwich. It had a very wierd taste to it. I assumed it was the beef bc it was fatty I kept spitting it in my napkin. Then I realized it was actually the gravy. I was crossing my fingers it wasn't spoiled. I ordered a pizza for the table. Omg the sauce. It was like an extremely garlic-y (and I like garlic but this was wierd) pasty pasta sauce. It left a taste in our mouths for hours. Needless to say all of our food went in the trash. I didn't say anything. We just paid and left quietly. Not sure how to tell someone the entire meal was the worst we've ever had. My food was ready and I paid and left. When I got in I ate and the turkey burger was very good. The fries wasn't as tasty so I didn't really eat it. All the orders were right and I would return. What's up food crew, today I am at a place I have been trying to get to for a long time. This being Bobby O's. Now they offer a nice variety of food to eat, today it's all about the dogs. In the first segment I am at the diner where I am Hot Doggin' NEPA style where we celebrate the hot dog and not rate the hot dog. This is a berk's dog where I tried the bacon and cheese, this was very tasty, the cheese was a liquid cheese and they used bacon bits compared to just putting bacon strips on the dog. My second dog was the chili dog where the chili had a nice taste, my only critique is they just threw on big ass chunky onions, personally I like a finer chopped onion, The one employee agreed with me. Now in the second segment I brought home their Italian hoagie to eat later on. Now I must make a retraction from the video. Now I ordered their hoagie as like it comes just with sweet peppers and no hot. I also asked for mayo no dressing, now does this sound like a difficult request. Well, it must have because not only did they put the dressing on it, they put the mayo as well. UGH!!!! Now what I wanted to avoid happened, I had a soggy sandwich. Overall besides that mess up this was a packed hoagie, meats, cheese, soft bread, minus the soggy parts that is. They still get a big thumbs up and recommend to all to check them out. Had an order totaling $50.00 delivered. Included in the order was a honey mustard chicken wrap. It looked a bit unusual, and after the first bite realized it was chicken salad, not what I ordered. I called not to gain anything, but just to let them know, to maybe prevent it from happening to anyone else. The woman who answered the phone left to ASK THE COOK, who informs her he made a honey mustard chicken. This is the point I lost my patience. If anything, if a customer says they got a wrong order, the customary response would be to apologize for the mixup and send the correct item. Not this genius. She asked me to SEND BACK the wrong wrap, to verify I was telling the truth. She didn't like getting "yelled at". Which she was not. I will not order again from a place that has such little regard for their customers. They may be busy today, it might not always be that way, and they may be scrounging for business. read more

stopped around 4:30 tonight on the way from central NY to Florida with 4 hangry kids and 3 adults. the food selection was great, the staff was exceptional, the prices were amazing. $85 and all 7 of us left with full bellies and take out containers as well. read more

We made a special stop here on the way to our relatives for x-mas. We were going to need a place for dinner after nearly a 10 hour drive and I read the reviews online, so I was really up for it. We were greeted by very merry waitresses who were singing Christmas songs. The restaurant was very decked out looking like a blizzard of snow decorations had come through! Cute!! The pickle bar sounded unusual in the reviews and I was looking forward to trying it. I was not disappointed by the flavors of the varieties & the pasta salad was quite good too! I ordered clam chowder soup, which was full of clams, but I have to say flavor wise the soup was just so-so. I shared an order of potato pancakes and they were quite tasty. Oniony and crispy! I ordered the "piggies" expecting a taste of home as I grew up eating the Polish version of stuffed cabbage my mom used to make. I was quickly disappointed as rather than cooking them in a mild tomato sauce they'd been cooked just wrapped in the cabbage and then covered in pasta sauce when it was plated. I guess it was more like an Italian version, but it just didn't taste like what I was expecting. I also asked for some sauerkraut instead of the veggies that it was supposed to come with, thinking I'd be getting a real Polish meal. The kraut, which seemed barely cooked & very, very sour was put on top of the piggie instead of just on the plate as a side dish. Like with the piggie, the pasta sauce just ruined the kraut for my taste buds. My dining partner had the scallops, which she said were very tasty, but had way too much breading on them. I was in town for work a month ago and landed here for a quick lunch. The service was great and the food was exceptional! I had a lunch special of a french dip sandwich and it came with not only fries, but also my choice of a soup or salad. I opted for the soup and ate that the following day for lunch. Woman on the phone was friendly delivery driver was fast and friendly. All was well until I opened my Turkey burger and noticed it was on a moldy bun! Total bummer. I called the place to see how they would fix it. They decided to send the driver back out to refund my burger only. In this case the entire meal should be refunded. Well - years ago I loved it here. I ordered the piggies . Mashed potatoes were cold Carrots came out of a frozen bag with no seasoning on them. The piggies where drenched in marinara sauce (I didn't want Italian piggies they should have specified ) no rice in the mixture and the cabbage wasn't cooked all the way (still hard ) The waitress saw that I wasn't eating - she came over and said " what's your drink" - then said how is it. Bobby O's is a good local joint just a couple of miles from the AVP airport. We were pointed in that direction by the front desk attendent at our hotel. The location sits on the corner in Pittston that gets a lot of traffic. The interior is done-up in a 50's motif, complete with a seasonal Christmas tree (currently decorated for Easter). We entered and sat ourselves by the window. A waitress came quickly to our table to greet us and take our drink orders. After agonizing over the menu (when was the last time you saw "pork steaks" on a menu?), we both decided on the Bobby O's Chicken. They have a lunch special that includes this sandwich (mini-sized) along with a salad and drink for $6.95. This is a great deal considering the sandwich itself is $6.25. Our food was brought out to us in about ten minutes. The food was piping hot. The sandwich was suprisingly good. They take chicken steak and add in provolone, and marinated veggies (peppers, basil, onions and mushrooms). I don't care for mushrooms, but it was good. I ordered some sweet potato fries on the side and they were good, but not anything special. Desert was homemade blueberry pie with whipped cream. There are only two or three homemade items on the menu (the pies and the brownies) and they would be a good bet. If you happen to be driving through the area on Interstate 81 and you're looking for a meal with some local flair, check on Bobby O's. read more
