Spacious, full of vibrant colors and life, this series of shops can be found after the luscious gardens past the restaurants in the area. Admittedly I would have probably bought this, but I just didn't see how I could ultimately use it. Anyway, they have all sorts of shops. Jewelry, vinyl records, even tarot card readings. The vendors themselves are very friendly and willing to lend you a helping hand if you can't find a vendor. They also have good deals and are technology savvy, so they take cards which is great for those of us that never carry cash.

Love That Thrift opened in August of last year. They are a non profit that donates proceeds to local animal shelter and rescues. There is a main room with household items, decorative items and racks of clothes. There is also two smaller rooms, one with children's toys and clothing and another with pet items and small appliances. I had fun digging through the tub of chihuahua sized dog clothes. Prices were more than fair on the things I looked at and they seemed open to offers. The two young ladies working were amazing, so welcoming and friendly. They accept donations so check back often for the changing inventory and follow them on social media.

I was eager to visit the Crystal Cave Rock & Gem Shop to see what they had. There aren't too many places like this in my area and I think they have one of the best collections in Broward County. According to their website they are a family owned business that has been in business since 1972. They specialize "in mineral specimen, cut gemstones, cutting rough (for cabochon, and faceting), metaphysical tools, lapidary equipment, books, jewelry, and gifts." They also have fossils and petrified wood. Prices range from as little as $1 to many thousands of dollars. There was so much to look at, huge pieces of amethyst, colorful geodes, and loose mixed gems. They had my favorite peacock copper ore. I also loved their jewelry, they had some nice gem necklaces for only $10. Perfect for the next time I need a gift. There was a lot of staff around eager to help if you had a question. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and we are closed Sunday and Monday. Come check them out.

The 1st floor was beautiful although the second floor required some TLC. The prices were very low comparable to other vintage design centers and this one had a good variety of loaded inventory. The company has a second much smaller gallery off Federal Hwy in Oakland Park.
