I thought it would be more crispy but it's more like a syrupy fried donut. Green onion naan: baked to perfection and they don't skimp out on the onions!! It's not really "stuffed", rather rolled into the dough. Goat curry: great portion size and very aromatic/authentic flavor dish. I wish there were some sort of vegetable to balance the meat but overall super delicious! Service 5/5: attentive and welcoming! I'm doing a little happy dance in my seat, humming and dancing, cause the Chicken Chili was a flavorful punch of savory and sweet heat. The chunks of chicken were perfectly tender, something many restaurants can't seem to accomplish - so props for DF for succeeding. An order of garlic naan, omg Good - pillowy, butter, fresh garlic LOVED it. This is when the meal begins to descent downward. My fried momo's arrived, though tasty, much smaller than the picture shown on the menu. I was served miniature momos, in my opinion. My hubby, always wanting to try something new, ordered a selroti - the picture showed a stack of four very large onion ring looking things and the menu read, deep fried sweet rice flour, crispy exterior, soft fluffy on the inside. My cuddly dudd socks are soft, fluffy; this interior was hard, chewy; I actually had to continuously chew on it for a few minutes, to get the momentum going, to soften this, whatever it was. And instead of four pieces, we received one (highly doubt my teeth could have handled three more rings). Lastly, my meal gave me a migraine; this was a first for me. Really a good spot to sit and eat. It was nice and clean and very spacious inside. They make naan to order so it can be as fresh as can be. The flavor packs a punch. But I would say that it is flavorful on only some selections. Like most reviews, I think the butter chicken was a good choice. The special rice is a good start too. The staff was really helpful as most people just don't know where to start. However, whoever helped us was nice, kind, and very patient. We enjoyed this place for a quick impromptu dinner. How is it that since Diyo Fusion was opened 3 yrs ago we've never decided to check it out until tonight?! This was our first foray into Nepalese cuisine and we were not disappointed, in the least! The pork chili momos, lamb chatamari, the lamb coconut curry, and even the gulab jamun dessert were all wonderfully new to us and we are looking forward to many more visits to explore their very extensive menu. Pretty good butter chicken and chicken pepper masala, but don't order mild. At most Indian restaurants "mild" has a bit of spice, here there is absolutely none. So, it was my first time here. Had been hearing that this new Indian / Nepalese restaurant was opening up so I knew I had to come check it out. I finally got the chance to come in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised upon entry. It's such a cute space , and super inviting. The woman at the front making my food was very friendly. I ended up trying out the Curry Lamb and Butter chicken over Basmati rice and was instantly blown away. They were both absolutely delicious. I personally wish I had gone with just the curry lamb (although the butter chicken was delicious). Seriously, the curry lamb was orgasmic! Or maybe I'm just fat , idk , whatever , but it was SO good. Will definitely be back for that. Sooner than later. Lol. The fact that I could get two of my favorite dishes , in under 10 minutes, has me sold. Also , try their juices! Diyo's build-your-own-bowls are literally the BEST! I crave them around the clock and use them as rewards for everything I don't want to do. Need a mammogram? Go to Diyo when it's done. Yard work bumming you out? Promise yourself a Diyo bowl. But here's the thing: Diyo, why did you take our bowls away after lunchtime??? They are what make you GREAT, but they also make you *different* from the other places in Lancaster that serve delicious Indian and Nepali food (and we've got some fantastic alternatives: I'm looking at you, Himalayan.). Please make it possible to order a Diyo bowl at other times of the day! Dining room service is never going to lure me in, but your bowls sure do! read more

I stopped in opening weekend to check out Lancaster's newest restaurant, Diyo. It is located in Ewell plaza in the heart of the downtown area. The ambiance inside is casual and basic, but is clean and serves the vibe of the restaurant well. Diyo is a very casual version of Himalayan, a Lancaster favorite owned by the same people. They serve Nepalese food which is customizable in a bowl or a wrap, with appetizers and sides. I ordered the Chili Momo dish which looked great on their menu. The food is prepared and dished on a cafeteria style line like Chipotle. The Chili Momo was spicy and delicious. It wasn't as fresh as a made-to-order restaurant, but it looked like all of the food on the line was kept up with, and nothing that we got felt like it was sitting out for long. I also ordered a side of 2 samosas on the side which were great. The pastry was very flaky and the tamarind sauce on the side was delicious. My friends got bowls with Diyo special rice, chicken, and lamb. They both enjoyed them and especially liked the rice. Overall Diyo achieves exactly what it sets out to do; offer tasty Nepalese food in a quick service format. This is a very rare restaurant concept, and certainly the only "Nepalese fast food" in the area. The prices are reasonable, and the food is good. If you have the time to sit down and want a fancier dinner, go to Himalayan. If you need to grab a quick lunch downtown, or just want to try something new from a trusted restaurateur in Lancaster, you should check out Diyo. I'll be back to try more options, other sides, and the juices which looked great in the drink case. read more

I tried a mango lassi with my meal, which was excellent. There were 2 flavors of lassi, and several deserts in the cooler. I highly recommend this place. Great casual dinner! I had the butter chicken, lamb meatballs & spinach. My husband had the curry chicken, lamb meatballs & mixed vegetables. Both came with naan. The atmosphere is nice & inviting. It's a great place to stop & crab and bite or get takeout. It'll be fantastic when the city has an event or there is an event in the plaza. The street vendors are great. Steam chicken momo is FIRE. I could eat them once a week - forever. The other dishes I have tasted that my wife gets are good but I will never not get the momos. Service is friendly. The atmosphere is a little wierd with the set up for the counter when you walk in, but it's not a big deal. Definitely eat here. read more

I was in town wirh a colleague on business and perused the restaurants nearby the hotel. Diyo Fusion has a 4+ rating and had a variety of dishes. It was within walking distance. We were promptly greeted then seated. The interior is dark black decor with lit candles on the table. The hosts/ servers were friendly and attentive. For starters we ordered corn tikki and chicken fries, both were gluten free. They came with a sweet plum sauce and a mint sauce. Tasty! For entree - Thai green curry chicken and crisy tilapia, served with Basmati rice. The Thai curry was good but not as good as from a Thai restaurant. There was mostly peas and carrots in the curry. A bowl of Basmati was served to share with the two entrees. The basmati rice flavor (to my taste) clashed a bit with the Thai curry. The fish looked good but was a bit spicy for my colleague. I would return and I recommend giving Diyo Fusion a try. There's a variety of dishes to choose from. read more

We were in town for the Holidays and ordered delivery through GrubHub. Unfortunately, only half our order was delivered. We called the restaurant and they went WAY out of their way to make sure we got the rest of our food in short order! The customer service is amazing! We had the most enjoyable lunch here. I really liked the chili momo and my husband really liked the butter chicken. The bread was perfect-- deliciously warm and soft. I loved how the bowl I ordered had so many different sauces and ingredients for us to try, and I thought the lettuce and sliced jalapeno on top added a wonderful freshness. They were so helpful and we took every suggestion they had and the food was amazing. We both built our own bowls and they asked if we had dietary needs. This was very helpful due to my friend be ing lactose intolerant. We also did orders of samosa and the chili momo and I wish I was joking when I say these were also amazing. The restaurant was bigger than expected, with good music playing, we stayed a while and people watched from the front window. They had very nice staff, and the food was tasty! The veggie pakora were delicious! I loved how you could see the pieces of vegetables in it.
