Got carry out from here over Labor Day weekend. Excellent Nepali food. Recommend pretty much anything everything... especially the momo and biryani. Lamb, daal, naan, and soups also good. Dishes come with rice. Word of caution is their food is spicy! Was perfect for me and my wife, but most of it too spicy for my kids. Although they have options for spice levels when you order, they seem to not be followed. Momo and daal were not spicy. And they included what seemed to be butter chicken sauce... I love Himalayan Fusion and have been here many times. We stopped in for their Sunday buffet and were disappointed. When I called, I was told the lunch buffet ended at 3:30, so we got there around 2:15. Maybe I was wrong, but I assumed 3:30 would give us enough time to eat (assumptions aren't always the best). We were given our naan and went up to the buffet. Unfortunately while we were there, they replenished one dish only and the rest were left alone. Around 3 PM they came around to tell us they were shutting down the buffet - which again, I was told 3:30. I would have just ordered off the regular menu had I known there wouldn't be much on the buffet and they would end service early. read more

Quite likely the most enjoyable Indian continental food I have had in Pennsylvania. The Himalayan influence is notable. Chutneys and Tamarind were exceptional. Had lunch there today. My companion enjoyed her entree. I did NOT enjoy mine - Palak Paneer. It bordered between tepid and cold and should never have left the kitchen. Ordered takeout here, I tried Tiki chicken Marcella and chicken sagg (which is my go too). The food was good I was disappointed the rice was just plain, and didn't have any of the normal seasonings. This is one of my favorite places to get Indian food, in particular, I love their buffet. Since coming out of COVID restrictions, they only offer buffets on Sundays. $13.99 per person for lunch buffet and $14.99 for dinner buffet. Foods are set up over 2 tables. The first table is vegetarian; the second, meats and desserts. My favorite dish is the Himalayan Chicken Currey. It's tasty, juicy and tender, unlike chicken tikka and tandoori chicken which can be dry at times. On the most recent visit, I also got to try 2 new vegetarian dishes: Onion Bhaji which is deep fried whole onion similar to what you can get in Outback Steakhouse, and Gobi 65 which is deep fried cauliflowers in batter and sauce. We ordered takeout from here one night to satisfy our cravings. We ordered a few things at various spice levels, and the biryani which we weren't able to specify a spice level for. All the food was delicious, my favorites were the momos, the garlic naan, and the chicken tikka. The biryani was delicious but was mouth numbingly spicy for someone who isn't the best with spice. The rest we got mild/medium spicy and they were the perfect spice levels. The portions were great and the food was still hot when we arrived home. This is the place to make your taste buds get elevated to a slightly higher or refined level than what is customary in this food category. Two visits and I'm hooked. I went to another Indian restaurant last week and came here this week while the flavors and presentations were still fresh in my mind. Looking at the care with which this appears to be prepared, that alone wins. Probably the best kabob I've had outside of New York City. Ate all of it! Had the Samosa Chat and Garlic Naan to go along knowing some would be left over for lunch tomorrow. Medium spicy was just right for me, but if hot is only one step up from medium, I might go for it next time. I had real problems getting the attention of my server this past Monday. A large group - maybe 30?? - arrived unexpectedly shortly before I got there at 7 on a Monday night. They'd already been served by the time I sat down, but the server was so rushed I had to search out my own utensils. The chicken momo was excellent, but if you see a large group already seated when you get there, I'd think twice before getting seated. Delicious! We recently moved to the area and decided to give Himalayan Fusion a try for takeout during our move. It was so good, we ordered from there the next night and are scouring the menu for the next items we would like to try. HF's online ordering systems is easy to use and allows the customer to customize the spice/heat level of many dishes. Service during pick-up was friendly and the inside of the restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. The food was cooked perfectly. We sampled the vegetarian samosas (both visits) and were pleased with the amount of filling and the flavors. The naan bread is very good and they offer a nice variety. So far we have tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Himalayan Chicken Curry, and the Chicken Chana. All these entrees were good sized portions, spiced right, and very satisfying. Tried Himalayan Fusion for the first time a few weeks ago. This was my husband's first Indian Food Experience. Atmosphere: Bright interior restaurant with booths and tables with linen tablecloths. Bollywood music videos on the TV. It appears they do have a lunch buffet but we were there for dinner. Service: while friendly they weren't very attentive, hence why its not a 5 star review. The two younger people working were too busy in a booth looking at their cell phones. we had to wave them down for a water refill when they looked up. Food: absolutely delicious! He ordered chicken tikka masala I had a chicken kebab. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They ask you how spicy you want it...be prepared that a little spicy/regular is very spicy. Food came out hot and was served with a large amount of fluffy rice as well. Portions were great. We also ordered the naan which was so fresh and delicious!! The meat was so tender that it fell off the bones with just a bite. I loved it. The Lamb Vindaloo was also exquisitely executed, the other star of the night. Great ethnic decors with warm and pleasant ambiance. This made up what little they may have fallen short on the food. Services was also excellent. Just saw this fairly new Nepali-Indian restaurant a few weeks ago in the Patton Place spot next to Hong Kong Ruby previously occupied by a tacoria and before that, Smoke BBQ. The redesign of the interior is beautiful, very classy. Tables and booths. Service is friendly and efficient. Apart from a sorta long wait between appetizers and entrees, everything was perfect. The menu is very impressive, very professional, with a good selection of Indian and Nepali dishes. Started with Eggplant Chaat and Gobi 65, marinated and fried cauliflower. Our server offered three spice levels, I chose medium and B mild. Food came from the kitchen quickly and hot (temp). Tasted fabulous. Entrees ordered were Kadai Lamb, Baigan Bharta, and Chili MO:MO with chicken. Wow, amazing tastes! The MO:MO was like nothing I've ever had before, crispy dumplings stuffed with chicken, onions, ginger and garlic and bathed in a nicely spicy red chili sauce. Yum! This buffet is FANTASTIC! The place is fine, the staff is fine, friendly and accommodating while not overbearing the table and constantly in your face but cleaning off the table frequently. I must have eaten enough for 3 people during this sitting. The tastes and flavors were delicious with plenty of choice for everybody, even my 2 year old liked the offerings. We've now been there twice in 2 weeks and are calculating how many times we can afford to go back every month! Outstanding! Chicken Tikka Masala simply sublime. We've tried two different paneers - one with green peas and one with spinach - and both were wonderful. Garlic naan and another dried fruit-filled naan also delicious. The food is warm and filling, really well spiced without falling into only being spicy. The decorations are nice and they play Bollywood music videos in the background.
