We met beforhand to talk about generalities, he drove up to San Clemente the night of the rehearsal to check out the site and test sound, then was on hand all day of the wedding for last-minute changes or requests. It was so great to have all of the music, equipment and lighting come from the same trusted vendor. He found a super obscure instrumental song for us, and played everything we wanted! He created a custom playlist for us, and didn't play anything "cheesy" or cliche (very important to me). He also knew exactly what to do to get everyone on the dance floor! Tamer left a positive…read moreimpression on us from our initial meeting, answering all of our questions with friendliness and professionalism. He promptly responded to all of our follow up emails and questions, and ensured all details and specifications were accounted for prior to the big day. On the night of, he played a wonderful set that incorporated all of our favorite genres and songs. His transitions were seamless, and he matched the faster tempo and upbeat tone of the night with one classic, danceable, and fun song after another. He understood the best songs to kick the reception off with and ended the night with 2000s pop rock hits that all the younger guests vibed heavy with. Tamer personally checked in with the bridal party to game plan and ensure everyone knew their roles for the entry into the reception hall. He also curated a custom song edit for the father daughter dance. Tamer just had a relaxed, knowledgeable, and chill energy that translated to being an ideal DJ for our wedding! With that being said, there were a few minor hiccups. For example, there were a few times where he cut to the next song very quickly and before the song had reached its best part (for example, before the rap part in "Baby" by JB). Also, there were several key announcements that weren't made clearly such as when cake and the late night snack were served. I know some guests (including my mom) missed both as they didn't realize they were served. We also had a group photo planned in the timeline with a specific song requested for immediately afterwards, but we ended up having to remind him to ask everyone to gather for a group photo and the requested song wasn't played after. Since the group photo was later than planned, many guests had strayed away and weren't included. Also, when having preparation meetings with DJ Tamer, he specifically asked us what we would like the last song(s) of the night to be. We chose two - "Closing Time" by Semisonic followed by "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran (a sentimental song for us). After playing the second to last song, DJ Tamer then played a different version of "Perfect" by a different artist. Not a big deal, but definitely took out some of the sentimentality. Then, after that song ended, he unexpectedly played "Mr. Brightside" to close out the night. He likely wanted to bring the mood back up to high energy for a last song, but this was not what we had previously specified when he had asked.   Overall, he is definitely a very talented DJ and knows how to keep a party going even with the minor hiccups mentioned. Definitely be sure to reiterate anything important to you, but know that DJ TMajor will bring a fun atmosphere to any celebration! Thank you for helping create such a memorable night!
