AMAZING!!! Shortly after my engagement I immediately began surfing the internet for a DJ. We knew without a doubt that a DJ is what we wanted as opposed to a band. After attending numerous events I knew it would be quite challenging for us to find someone that could meet our expectations. Some may think that a DJ is an easy decision to make but not to us....it was one of the most important decisions we would make. We needed someone that would be dedicated to the guests and make them not only want to dance but take them on a memorable journey....this requires impeccable skill and passion. We needed an artist and a true artist is what we found! In mid November 2014 I read a review online and was so intrigued after reading about the DJ that I immediately went to Google and found his website. Much to my surprise his site included a tab with custom mixes and mash-ups. Never in a million years did I think it would be exactly what we were looking for in a DJ and much, much more. I reached out to DJ Joey A Nov 12th and on Nov 13th I received a reply that he was available for our day and offered a free consultation. Upon our first meeting we knew in minutes that he was the one. Extremely prepared, well mannered, respectful and most of all humble. That evening we secured our date with a deposit and shortly after received an email with everything discussed. This included a flow chart of the evening in addition to song suggestions for Bride/Groom, Daddy/Daughter, Mother/Son and cake cutting. Throughout all of our wedding planning DJ Joey A was open to any questions we had but most importantly was always responsive. He was also able to create a custom introduction and grand entrance song that will never be forgotten:) I truly believe that there is nothing impossible for DJ Joey A when it comes to music, true talent! Omg, where do I even begin. I don't do reviews often but all I have to say is BOOK JOEY NOW! He was hands down the best vendor I booked (and I had some pretty awesome ones). Joey is super communicative, quick response turnaround time, flexible, and all around just a nice guy to work with. You can tell he really cares about what he does. My ceremony was set up to be outdoors, and then we got hit with a complete random summer storm just during our ceremony timeframe. Joey was on it, he found me right away and asked me what I wanted to do. I said lets move it indoors, so he moved all of the equipment indoors quickly and our ceremony went off without a hitch still. Because of the rain, it delayed our ceremony start time by about 20-30minutes which in turn pushed everything back by 30 minutes. I wanted to stay on the original schedule timeline if possible, and honestly, thanks to Joey, it happened. My venue was amazing but the coordinator's assistant was kinda MIA, so I really was leaning on Joey to keep the party moving...which he did! I told him I just wanted to party and he made sure we partied! I have friends and family members still to this day telling me how fun our wedding was and it was their favorite wedding of the year. Not tooting my horn at all, because it was all Joey!! Also, I didn't hire a wedding coordinator. So I really relied on the venue's day of coordinator and my DJ. SO - if you could pick only one vendor and one vendor only - pick DJ Joey!!! You could get married in the middle of nowhere and he would make your day the most amazing day ever. DJ Joey A was by far my favorite vendor to work with leading up to the wedding day. From start to finish, I was blown away. After out initial video call, I was EXCITED to be working with him. I'm so happy that he was available on our date. He helped me with reception timeline, kept me on track with timing, came to the venue for a walkthrough and talked me through what he thought would work best for the set up, and made me feel even more confident that everything would work out as planned. DJ Joey is so kind, professional, creative, and knows how to read a room. I even had an idea for a remix of a song I asked if he could create for our grand entrance and he did it FLAWLESSLY. Working with him was SO MUCH FUN and I feel like he really understood the vibes we were going for. He was the absolute BEST vendor/DJ to work with. He even has a free online radio station (Sonik Armada!!!) that I listened to during the weeks leading up to the wedding and it made me increasingly excited every day because his music taste is impeccable and right up our alley. He transformed our space with his uplighting and truly helped make it a night to remember. His wife even brought a drone to capture the property and he shared that with us. We didn't book a videographer, so DJ Joey & Tanya's attention to detail is so appreciated and you can really tell they love what they do. They know how to get a party started and keep it going. I can not say enough wonderful things about DJ Joey A. He is hands down the best DJ out there. From the first time I heard DJ Joey A I knew I HAD to have him at our wedding. He is the first vendor I called after I got engaged and that was by far the best decision we could've made. He made the entire night perfect. Like many others, when we were engaged, the first decision was easy. We had to contact Dj Joey A and get on his schedule. We didn't even have a for sure date, and wanted to make sure we chose a date he would be available. We did find a date perfect for us, and as expected, Joey made it the special day we hoped for. Choosing your Dj is probably equally or more important than your venue. Joey definitely knows how to read his crowd and keep them going. DJ Joey A was recommended to us from another DJ, and honestly hiring him was the best decision we made for our entire wedding. Our wedding was the most fun one I've ever been to, and I can honestly say it was due to DJ Joey. He knows how to read the room and play the perfect song for the moment, when to speed things up or slow things down. He played a mix of oldies and top 40 crowd pleasers and mixed things in insane ways that got the people going. The dance floor was full the entire night and everyone from the young kids to our 86-year-old grandma were out there having the best time. I was referred to DJ Joey A by my best friend, and he did not disappoint! He was amazing! We planned to get married in 2021, and then had to postpone a year and Joey was SO understanding. Leading up to the final months, weeks, and days, Joey was at my side helping me with suggestions and ideas. He was awesome to work with, specifically in helping us put together an outline of the steps from the ceremony to the end of the reception. Picking a DJ or band for your wedding when you are not from the particular area can be intimidating. I was lucky enough to get DJ Joey A's name from my dentist who attended a wedding where he played. I could not be happier with our decision! My Aunt sang a version of a popular song when I walked down the isle and he was able to custom mix the instrumentals so it was timed perfectly with my entrance.
