The online system for us to organize our special songs as well as preference was very simple to use and made preparation and organizing super easy. The day of he worked with our speakers before the ceremony to make sure the audio would be perfect, and was even ready to hype up the crowd although ours came ready to rage. When looking for a DJ for our wedding, I saw reviews of Adam that went something like, "Adam was the best decision we made for our wedding." I echo that sentiment wholeheartedly, and I believe my partner agrees. We couldn't stop talking about how great he is! Adam was the most organized, responsive, helpful, upbeat, thoughtful, patient, and flexible vendor we had. Our first meeting with him felt more productive than any other meeting we'd had about our wedding (which may sound like an exaggeration but is completely true.) He's great with music, of course, but we didn't even think about all the ways he'd be involved with so much more! I believe he once referenced himself as a "Master of Ceremonies" and it couldn't be more true. He helped us think through the flow of the day and gave great advice. As we spoke, he was listening for the emotions we wanted attached to each part of our wedding so he could use sound to guide the vibe. He made it easy for us, which was very much appreciated given how difficult some elements of planning a wedding were for us. When the pandemic hit, Adam was incredibly patient with the uncertainty. When we decided to move forward at the last-minute, he was right there with us. He was so understanding and was the only person taking the time to outline the exact day-of details we still needed to nail down (and he managed to do it in a way that was honest but didn't cause any stress!?! He's magic like that!) We appreciated his help so, so much. Lastly, my mom planned a surprise for us with Adam: his photo booth! It was a huge hit and really gave people something to do with down time. Even the grandparents got into it! When planning a wedding there are so many details that are important. Music being one of the most. I can't say enough great things about Adam and his team. He paid attention to who we were as a couple from the 1st meeting to our last pre-wedding meeting (yes, he does virtual meetings with you!) He was extremely passionate about making sure everything would be perfect for our wedding day. Even asking us to approve what he should wear. We hired Adam for our late May wedding in New Jersey and were blown away by him. From the start to the finish, it was obvious that Adam cared about making our wedding as amazing as possible and, in fact, Adam did help make our wedding amazing. During the several months leading up the wedding, Adam spoke with us several times (via skype and phone) about our wedding. He really took the time to understand what kind of "vibe" we were looking for during our wedding and what type of music was important to us. He created elaborate but easy to use spreadsheets for us to fill in with our favorite songs and the songs we wanted for each special occasions (e.g., first dance, mother/son dance...). During the weeks/days leading up to the wedding, Adam kept in constant contact with us about wedding details. He even emailed us a playlist he put together for one part of the evening for our approval. He also went above and beyond what was expected of him as a DJ- he coordinated with our wedding band, officiant, venue and photographer to ensure that the sound for our wedding would be perfect and flawlessly recorded. On the day of the wedding, Adam arrived earlier than expected and was ready for our big evening before we were! Once again, he went above and beyond - he kept checking in on us to make sure we were okay and even brought us bottles of water because he could tell we weren't hydrating. He helped group together the wedding parties and helped us line up the processional before the ceremony. Our venue was very complicated- we got getting married outside, then guests went downstairs in the venue for cocktail hour, then upstairs for dinner, then back downstairs for dancing. Adam somehow managed to flawlessly amplify and provide music to all three spaces and he made it look effortless. The music was perfect. Because he consulted with us before the wedding, he knew exactly what kind of music we wanted and he delivered. He took the list of songs we put together, added to it, and created the perfect playlists for each moment of the wedding. He was also more than willing to take requests during the night. We're not really sure what else could be said about Adam - he did an amazing job and we are so happy we chose him as our DJ. I can't say enough good things about Adam: This dude possesses such a rare combination of competence, class, and kindness. My wife and I hired him to DJ our wedding and we could not have been more satisfied. We set up a meeting to discuss our expectations and hopes for our ceremony and celebration, and we were immediately charmed. He was incredibly communicative and promptly answered all of our questions from that first meeting to the wedding itself. In my ignorance, I expected to hand him a playlist and call it a day, and he helped me understand what my wedding would actually be like, what to expect, and what pitfalls to avoid. Adam is truly an expert; he leaves no stone unturned, no in-law alienated, no top 40 jam unvetted. Music aside, Adam is a professional. He arrived early with all of his equipment, set it up and broke it down within the allotted rental time. If I used as many superlatives as Adam deserves, this review would be very tedious. From reading the first word of a Yelp review to the final notes resonating in the air at the end of my wife and I's wedding/reception the experience was unforgettable. Adam went above and beyond to make the planning and understanding of what was needed for every segment of the event very logical and simple. I am very particular about music and Adam put every song my wife and I requested in the playlist (and kept the songs we absolutely did not want OUT of the playlist). He even went so far as to find a studio version of a VERY meaningful song to us that I thought only existed as a live version. It was incredible and meant almost as much as getting married to my wife! Our guests loved Adam! From our initial phone conversation, it was clear that he was interested in understanding what music we liked and what would work best for our group. I had a very specific idea of how I envisioned the soundtrack of the day going and I went looking for a DJ that would take all my wants and ideas into mind when creating the playlists for our wedding day. I did NOT want a DJ that would tell us, "yes yes yes, I see your vision", and then play a bunch of terrible songs that we hated at the reception. Adam was definitely not one of "those" DJs. We had more meetings with Adam than we did with any other vendor, and that just shows how much he wanted to make sure our vision was fulfilled. Adam did a great job taking all my songs and putting them in the perfect order with the smoothest transitions. I listen to the cocktail hour playlist he shared with us all the time because the flow of the songs is truly beautiful! For the reception, we weren't as picky, but Adam took all our requests for the songs we definitely wanted, and all the songs we definitely didn't want and made the reception truly one for the books.
