I hired DJ Precision for a Day of the Dead themed Halloween party for about 50 people. I'm a personal trainer and fitness instructor and this is an annual party I throw for my Zumba students. It was important that i hired a DJ that understands Latin music and culture. DJ Precision delivered! Not only did he play an incredible mix of Cumbia, Salsa, Reggaeton and Merengue...but he mixed it up and kept my guests dancing all night! I first met DJ Precision at Washington State University. I am a part of a sorority and we had initially hired him as a replacement for another DJ who bailed on us last minute for a big social fundraiser. We were so impressed by his eagerness to help, and his professionalism throughout the whole process from start to finish, we have used him for all of our social events since. DJ Precision is professional through and through. He does his research and makes sure to ask all the essential questions to make your event as smooth and efficient as possible. He arrives early and prepared for anything. DJ Precision also has a unique quality to be able to read a crowd and just know what is needed to make the event fun. Most DJ's I have heard tend to just play to themselves, and not interact with the crowd. He can hop on the microphone without hesitation and does his best to play what folks request without it being a horrible transition. I mean it can't be easy to go from an up beat EDM style song, to something like Cardi B. Bodock Yellow without it being a complete train wreck, but he can do it. Let me just start off by saying I would highly recommend this DJ for any special event! I contracted him for my Latinx/American wedding this past April and am so glad I did. Weddings are so stressful trying to find the dress, the caterer, decorations and so on. Being Latina, it was so important to find the right person to play a good mix of Cumbias, merengue and zapatiadas, but also some music for my husband's family. At the start of my venture for the perfect dj, I initially felt really worried about how the music would turn out since music really makes a party, especially with a Mexican family! From our first meeting, I felt stress lift off my shoulders. Rafael was early and ready to answer all of our questions. He listened attentively to what we envisioned for our wedding and worked with us to find something that would fit our wedding day needs. He was very professional in explaining his services and gave us a clear understanding of what we should expect for the day of, as well as what he would need from us. Seeing how well prepared he was, I had no doubt in my mind he would provide a great experience for my guests. My wedding party, as stressful as it was planning, was made so perfect with the music. Rafael Moya AKA DJ Precision lives up to his name because with everything he does he is precise! The first time I met Raf was to discuss the possibility of him DJ'ing my Wedding. After introductions we sat down and he quickly took out his iPad mini in preparation for notes and scheduling, the man comes prepared! Luckily for the both of us my wife had put together a thorough breakdown of not only the songs we wanted to play, but also general guidelines and our tentative schedule (yes I know...welcome to married life right?). After quickly emailing this information to Raf he took it from there, providing suggestions and his vision of how the Ceremony and Reception would play out. It was quite obvious he was experienced and brought his own style and vibe to the event which was extremely appreciated. DJ Precision was not only readily available for any changes or requests leading up to the event, but he was at the venue early and completely prepared. On a day like a Wedding, the last thing needed is for there to be technical difficulties or somebody dropping the ball. When we decided on Raf as our wedding DJ, we were confident the music and the DJ'ing would be taken care of, but we didn't realize he'd be ready and willing to hop on the mic and handle the crowd for announcements and most importantly...the Wedding Party Introduction! He absolutely nailed it despite the crazy list of last names he had to pronounce. We were looking to have fun and throw a party and nothing kicks it off better than some energy on the Microphone introducing the Wedding Party like he was in the booth at Key Arena announcing the starting lineup for the Seattle Sonics! His setup and transition between the Ceremony and the Reception was seamless. After dinner and wedding activities; he kicked of his mix with the traditional wedding music and as the night progressed so did the emphasis on music! Before we knew it there was a full dance floor as he mixed together requests with top 40. The only thing better than seeing the dance floor full of people and energy was the results; random pictures of friends and family living it up our special day! I first heard of DJ Precision as he has DJ residency at a Latin club in Seattle. Every time we go when he's DJing we always leave with our feet hurting because each song that he plays is a banger! When I was searching for a DJ for our wedding that would understand our requirements for a Latino crowd and also Hip Hop, Mexican music... I knew we had to hire Rafael! It's hard to find a DJ in the Seattle that is Hispanic and that would understand the mix of music we would want. Rafael was so communicative with us throughout questions we had prior to the wedding. DJ Precision made our wedding reception amazing! We were able to meet with him prior to the wedding date to go over what songs we wanted and what we didn't want. He definitely played all the songs we wanted and got everyone dancing. He was playing for us from the time the guests started arriving for the ceremony all the way to the last song and we had a great time. Our guests commented on how much fun they had dancing to the music. We found DJ Precision at a friends reception wedding in 2012, the reception was beautiful, people we having fun! of course the DJ made a big impact on the entertainment part. A year later my wife and I decided to book DJ Precision, a huge part of this decision was the fact that we are Hispanics and we are extremely picky when it comes to music variation (we wanted to please the family with the music they like to dance) in the other hand we had seen Rafael-DJ Precision performed other styles besides Hispanic music at other local Dance clubs such as Trinity in Seattle, Blue Martini in Bellevue etc... So were very busy with the wedding preps and totally forgot to provide Rafael-DJ precision with the pieces he needed to perform, not until a day before the wedding I was finally able to provide him the songs we wanted to use. The big event went by, Rafael was there, set up and on TIME (we were told by our wedding coordinator), He had a whole list of the timeline I provided him the night before, he was READY! and WORKING! the music was flowing nicely, people were having tons of fun, our mariachi did not showed up, so we informed Rafael He said I GOT THIS! Rafael-DJ precision was our entertainment / host / guide / fun the whole night. Its taken me for ever to think of what to say about Dj Precision, If i say what i want to say i think we might have a novel on our hands hahaha. But seriously, Its to the point where if i go out and i know that Precision isn't going to be the Dj, I'd rather not go. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great djs out there... in a specific genre. But what i have always loved about precision is his versatility. Its not about what he wants or likes to play, its about what his crowd wants. Anything from all kinds of Latin music, to house to hip hop and beyond, you name it, hes got it, if he doesn't have it, he'll find it. I loved his skills enough to drag my best friend and her fiancee (at the time) to a couple of his gigs so they could hear what i heard, they were never disappointed. Needless to say, he was hired to do their wedding and he blew every one way, but I'll let them tell that story. I'll end it with this, the 5 stars above "say as good as it gets" but that's wrong, with Dj Precision, there is no limit, hes always striving to be even better, while staying extremely humble.
