Tommy Fullove (it is his real name!) DJ-ed my wedding in June this year and I couldn't be more thankful to Yelpers to help me finding him! I contacted several other DJs including the bigger DJ companies. While most of them have competitive pricing/rates (Tommy does too), we decided to hire Tommy because we got to directly work with him and he was very personable on the phone and in person. With the bigger DJ companies, we spoke to their sales agent and often time we won't know who the DJ is until after we sign the contract, although some companies charges "extra" to request a particular DJ (kinda weird!). Anyway, we love to support small businesses and we were happy to work with Tommy. He was always responsive especially the weeks leading to the actual event date which was very very important and eased up with the stress. He followed up regarding our event timeline, gave feedbacks about the timeline flows and made suggestions which I really appreciate as it was my FIRST time planning a wedding, duh!!! On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to setup. Tommy also greeted us outside the reception venue prior to our grand entrance, bought my best man a drink (the best man was to sing a song for our first dance upon us doing the grand entrance to the reception place) and he was very personable to all of our guests. Our reception was a buffet and he took care of directing guests to the buffet table (so that not all guests piled up at the buffet at once). My wife and I hired Tommy for our wedding, and he was fantastic! Firstly, his personality is just great. He was fun to work with, and the negotiations were a snap. We walked out of meeting him and looked at each other...and we said, "It's him." So firstly, you just have to meet him. Secondly, he was totally reliable. Everything was included. No nickel and diming, no fuss, no muss. The sound setup was great (it was outdoors), and we didn't have to do anything. His price was really competitive, too. We had Tommy DJ our Holiday Party this year and we were not disappointed! He is a GREAT DJ, extremely professional and a very nice guy.
