My wife and I tried whatever we could do to unclog it, and just couldn't figure out why. We ended up calling around and trying to get general estimates. Depending on the task at hand, Bruce gave us the most reasonable quote and we decided to go with him. He was very responsive online and available the same day. Some of the plumbers had given us dates that were well into the following week, and almost twice the price. When Bruce arrived, he made sure he kept the work area clean, worked on our sink, and after we found out that the job needed was worse than we had initially thought, he encouraged me to look around in case I didn't want to go with him. The new project included sawing off the existing galvanized pipe to the laundry sink, which was severely clogged with corrosion and sediments, and having it replaced with PVC pipe she is replacement. We decided to go with him for the new job and he completed it quickly, with quality products, and at a very reasonable rate. Was told that service technician van broke down on day one and that they were running behind because of it, promised to have someone out got a call 1.5 hours later telling me they won't have anyone available to come out, wanted to reschedule appointment so I agreed, took a half day off of work and scheduled an appointment for the next day between 12:00-2:00. Low and behold they never showed up, I called company back to be informed that they were running at a full delay and that they promised they would have someone out today to fix it but no time frame, they called me back a couple hours later said still running behind but rest assured we will have someone one out tonight. Received a call back around 5:30ish and was told they won't have anyone to do the work tonight, asked for a manager and was hung up on. I called back spoke with manger Van and he told me that the guy who was scheduled to do my service left early and couldn't get anyone to take the job, was offered to reschedule and 10% of the service. Told him 10 % was unacceptable and he hung up on me after it told him to just cancel everything. Extremely unprofessional and nothing but lies come out of their mouths, would strongly recommend a different plumbing service as this was clearly a waste of my time.

The estimate was done in a timely manner and was professional. I do like that the owner gave me the estimate right away on the spot and seemed to know the cost of materials. I appreciated the timely manner of the estimate and the professionalism, I always do at least 3-4 estimates before scheduling any job, so it'll remain to be seen whether I go with Bright Star, but I always live by the rule to get at least a few estimates for any job over $500. EDIT: I did find their quote to be on the higher side after getting a comparing estimate, but it could have just been this particular job.

Buyer beware!  I asked for a quote 2 years ago when they came out to restart my AC.  Never received…read morea quote.  Now, instead of telling me that my furnace, which they installed, was 37 years old (which I didn't know because I did not live here when it was installed) they tried to fix it.  Soaked me for over $400 rendering the system inoperable, no AC and no heat this winter.  They sent a guy with a new part at no charge, after which I'm told it can't be fixed.  They should never have tried to fix it - 37 years old.   I called and told them I want my money back and send me quotes.  Instead they sent me a bill for $397 for the NO CHARGE visit.  Rip off artists.  If you're female, or an older adult, find someone trustworthy who doesn't take advantage.  Hank is rolling over in his grave.
