Had a sewer line collapse under the apron of our driveway (sidewalk between the driveway and street). Bob gave me a good estimate on both the spot repair as well as a worst case scenario (digging up the street to the main). They began work around 8:30AM and were done before 3PM. They did an excellent job containing their excavation to a 7x7 foot square area, digging about nine feet under the ground (also navigating around an active gas line and a defunct one!). They replaced six feet of broken and/or root infested terracotta pipe. Sent their camera through the rest of our sewer line and to the main under the street to check for any other issues and invited me to watch the screen to see for myself. They took away the sewage and root infested dirt that they dug up, and filled everything back in with mixed gravel. The guys were friendly and professional. I'm very impressed with the services of J. R. Swanson Plumbing & Heating. I called them this morning with a badly leaking kitchen garbage disposal and they were able to send out a technician this afternoon. I decided to eliminate the garbage disposal altogether (seldom used it anyway), which required re-plumbing the drain to the sink and the dish washer. They sent out Tom DiCarlo, a very pleasant young man, to fix the problem. He worked quickly and efficiently to remove the old disposal and re-do the pipes under the kitchen sink, carefully checked for any leaks, and totally cleaned up the area when he was finished. The next time I need plumbing services I will definitely ask for Tom. read more

Went into the basement this afternoon with water on the floor from my furnace. Called JR Swanson and the service man was here within 2 hrs. He assessed the problem and said I needed a new furnace. I guess it's time, because mine is 32 yrs old!, The serviceman was prompt, explained everything and requested a quote which was emailed to me within a half hour. The work will be completed in one day early next week. I'm also having them install a new hot water tank which is 16 yrs old. I had work rendered by JR Swanson this morning 7/5. The service tech that completed the job was Stephen W. I am 100% satisfied with his work. Stephen was very prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He cleaned behind his self, you couldn't even tell that work was done. I was also impressed with him advising me of another plumbing issue. sorry I am late giving this review as service was in Oct, I needed plumbing service for my sump pump drain, it was backing up, they responded quickly and showed me every step of the way, showed me camera images showing the drain in ground was severely damaged, they dug everything up and replaced the entire drain system, showed me new system before covering up, has been been working perfect since then, the guys were great, very happy with there service. read more

I had an issue with my upstairs toilet leaking. JT Blixt came right out and determined that I needed a new toilet. He gave me a reasonable price for the job with a senior discount and said he would be back on Monday after the weekend. He and his helper came on Monday and finished the job within an hour. I called at 1:55pm today for a blockage in my drains that caused my tub, wash tubs and toilet to back up. Steven showed up within 20 minutes and had the trap cleaned out within 45 minutes of my call.
