I asked the owner to go with me and drive the car to see what he thought the problem was. Again I was told it was road noise. I knew my car had never had road noise like this. I took the car to Cody's Auto & Transmission. John explained this noise and vibration was probably coming from the transmission torque clutch. He very patiently explained what my options would be if this was indeed the problem. He said that since it was me who drove the car all the time, to not doubt myself when there was a issue. He did not talk down to me and made sure I understood what could be done initially and what would be the next step if the first recommendation didn't take care of it. I appreciate so most how patient he was in answering my questions. I got my car back today and it appears that his recommendation has worked. I went in, asked for an oil change and to have them look at my brakes. I asked for synthetic and was offered two options. No pressure, simply a choice. They checked my brakes, mentioned I had 10-15k more on them easily, why not wait. Amazing. Offered to resurface the front rotors (no "oh they can't be done") and did so quickly and for a reasonable price. Checked over the car, AOK.
