I have finally found an auto repair shop that I can trust! They replaced the ABS module in my 2012 Chevy Equinox and did an oil change and tire rotation for a price that was VERY reasonable. Mike and his crew are skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. They did such a good job for me that my friend took his Mercedes to them to fix the A/C, and even though he does some car repairs himself, he was very impressed with what they did and the price. I've been going to Mike and his team at SNS since coming to Orange City a couple years ago. They are good honest mechanics who do quality work. I have never been overcharged or oversold on anything, and have never had an issue with their work as opposed to chain stores. They will honestly tell you if an issue needs a repair or not, and will not sell you any work you don't need. Even when they are busy (as honest shops are) I have always gotten my car back by the promised time or sooner. This was a repair done for my niece's Jeep and the only reason I am writing a review is because I was on speaker when my niece went to complain about a repair they did. My niece went for service on her Jeep for a failing clutch. Clutch was repaired and all is fine with that. Well, my niece noticed that the transfer case shifter was loose and it wouldn't go into four wheel drive. For those that don't know, the transmission has to be dropped in order to replace the clutch. So suspecting that something was missed in the reinstallation of the transmission, she took it back to get it looked at. They looked at it and they reinstalled a retaining ring. After that my niece took it home and tested the four wheel drive system to see if it engages and it wasn't engaging properly. So she took it back for them to look at it again. This time they actually test drove the Jeep. During this visit is where my niece had me on speaker phone. As a mechanic myself, mainly aircraft, I was listening to what they were saying and what their diagnoses was and it did not make logical sense to me. Instead of looking at the possible problem, meaning the transfer case shifter assembly, they moved their attention to the front drive shaft and front axle including the brakes and even the tire sizes, which mind you were not a problem before the clutch failed. I did talk to one of the guys and his explanations told me that they did not know what they are talking about or did not want to be responsible for possible breaking a part. I have had a Jeep for over 25 years as well as a RAM 1500 4X4 that I have had for 18 years and I do most of the maintenance and repairs myself. There is a reason I have had these vehicles for a long time and still running good and it isn't because of bad maintenance. In my opinion, people need to steer clear from this place. I don't understand how they have so many stars here. If this business sees this review, either change the way you do business and get someone that knows what they are doing. read more

I didn't have my car repaired by them (they couldn't take me that day and gave me a day I could come back, which I understand) so I can't say anything about their work. However, they did tell me that they charge $99 an hour, that is as much half if not more then double what everyone else charges. I don't consider that to be fair pricing. read more

I took my van to these guys a year ago to have them replace a window regulator. They charged about $250 which is the going price. Yesterday the regulator went out again. I looked at my receipt and it states one year warranty. OK, so it has been one year and seven days. Now this is a very low use vehicle. I have put two thousand miles on it in a year so it is not like the part is worn out. Gave them a call to see if they would work with me. Big ole nope. Not even on the parts. He just kept repeating "one year parts and labor". I would have gladly paid for the labor, it was't their fault the part failed. Then I went to an auto parts store website and saw that all of their regulators have a life time warranty. I then called the store and the clerk told me they provide that warranty even to auto repair shops. My conclusion is this business does not give a crap about their customer and it's prices are no better than anyone else. So why would anyone want to give them their business? read more

I called 5 different auto shops and SNS had BY FAR the lowest price. Mike was pleasant and got my car in the next day. They had my car finished quickly and discussed a few things that would need to be done with no pressure. I will return to SNS with no hesitation! read more

Warning!! Do NOT go to this auto repair shop! After spending $1,053.00 to repair my car, I had to take it back 2 times after that. My car heater was fixed properly so I had no complaint about that. ($336.00) They replaced wires, plugs, etc in my engine which cost $750.00. But they never did find out what was really wrong with my car until the third time in the shop. (vacuum leak in the manifold) Mike (owner) said he would "take care of the repair out of his pocket" which at the time I thought was very nice of him. When I went to pick up the car they had performed NO work and tried to get me to pay another $750.00! They would only deduct the labor cost. ($200.00) So I would still have another repair bill of $550.00 on top of the $750.00! Needless to say I didn't let them fix my car AGAIN. They should have fixed it correctly the FIRST time! BE CAREFUL! Learn from my experience. read more
