Due to water on Cortland just before Ft Smith light - I hydroplaned & my 2012 Taurus limited hit the curb (didn't jump it), but it caused severe damage to front right passenger tire area. Out of desperation, I had car towed here. They quoted $2900 for tie rod, rotor arm, & mount/install/balance 1 tire. I was told this would be done in a few days. I paid to rent a car for a week and Felix reassured me that was plenty of time. They called yesterday and added axle assembly for same tire area. They shared this would add another $200-$250. I've now added 3 days to rental I'm paying for and they simply don't reply when asked about these prices. I feel taken advantage of because I needed the car towed and a name like HONEST sounded, well.... Just that. In my research, with OEM parts, I'm being well overcharged on each line item. they were incredibly obtuse in our initial conversation about pricing & repairs. I'll come back and edit this if I find the pricing and other details are fair. For now, I'm bummed out that people in need of help are taken advantage of due to an urgent situation. And then a week or two ago I went there for an oil change and they came back, saying I needed to change my battery. I asked how much they said $630. Then I went to AutoZone for them to check the battery and they said the battery was still good. No need for a new battery. Took my car in for a minor repair and of course they do the full diagnostic analysis and came back with a pile of things that needed attention for a small fortune. I opted only for the minor repair. When I went back to pickup my car one of my nearly new tires was completely flat with a big screw sticking out of the tread. Tires were fine when I took it in and their comprehensive analysis said the tires were fine, but the refused to fix or replace the tire at their expense because "I probably picked up the screw on the way to the shop". Again I repeat their comprehensive diagnostic did not identify a tire issue. The headliner on the driver's side windshield support was coming out of the trim and was loose. It was fine when it went in and what they were repairing did not require work in the area. Lastly, when I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion about the things needing attention, I was told none of those things needed repairs. So not only do they try to upsell you on stuff that doesn't need to be repaired, the car had more things wrong with it when I got it back than it had when I dropped it off. they had my car for 6 days for a transmission gasket leak and charged me over $2,000 for the transmission gasket and rtv and after less than one month my car started leaking again in the same area. the work order did not have details about the work they did. i have a warranty with them and made 3 appts but they cancelled me because they did not have transport to get me home like they advertise and did for me when i left it there in march 2026??? they say they do transmission work and engine work. guess i will have to take it to a transmission shop because i am afraid they will find another expensive problem on the trans leak and i can not afford giving them more money for my leak. i have a dodge car and rtv is supposed to be a dodge sealant as well. i feel as if they do not know enough about fixing a transmission leak and so does my family. i am in my late 70's and have a very low income! read more

Went in a few day ago for a simple alignment and that's was decent priced, found out my tie rod was bent and needed repair also again not a problem but then the numbers come in. $140 for the alignment and another $85 for a tie rod. How in god name do we go from maybe a $300 job to $850? The itemized receipt showed miscellaneous charges and taxes with labor came out to almost $660 extra? I wanted to stop by to leave my honest review. I recently had some work done to my truck and my steering wheel ended up a bit misaligned to the left. I chose this place because it's very close to my home. I scheduled an alignment and really needed a toe alignment for my wheels. Upon arrival they tried to explain to me that my upper ball joints were bad so I was not going to be able to align my caster or camber. I explained I only really needed a toe since the wheels were not straight. I had gotten a wheel alignment at tire kingdom a few months prior and they did a good Job. I knew I needed to do a zero point calibration since the vehicle was registering a mis alignment but I wanted to get the toe alignment first. Long story short they attempted to align it. I use the word attempt because my vehicle is still not toe aligned. I explain. They charge me for a full alignment when other shops charge less and exclusively for toe alignments if that's what the customer is seeking for. My vehicle steering is not mis aligned to the left anymore but now is mis aligned to the right after going to this place. Also if they were a knowledgeable place for wheel alignment they would have discovered that the ball joints on top were not worn or broken but that my vehicle has complete aftermarket custom upper control arms with fully adjustable ball joints to customize and to get a more flexible alignment for lifted vehicles. I am not sure if they have understanding of other areas of vehicle mechanics however I can tell based on my experience that wheel alignment is not a strong subject. If you are looking for an honest and proper wheel alignment I will recommend finding a different ship. Now I am having to go to a different more knowledgeable ship to re do my wheel alignment on my custom lifted vehicle. read more

Firstly, I would like to say that the customer service is great. Really nice people. And have complimentary snacks and drinks with a shuttle to take you back home. But thats about it. My car was running fine but I took my car in for a check engine light and gas pump kept stopping. They told me my evap system needed to be fixed along with axle repair. I was extremely overcharged for it but it was close to my house so I just disregarded. After the visit, my car would crank slowly to start and the engine light came back on. I was told it was running lean and needed gasket and air flow sensor replacement. I had just spent over $2000 for the previous work. Then i was being charged for $500 for this. I reluctantly accepted the new work to be done and get my car back. Engine light is off for now but my car is still slow to crank on and its getting slower. I call the shop to let them know and they tell me I have a bad battery. No one let me know I had a bad battery when everything else was being fixed and there was no mention of it on the report. The supervisor advised that it was on the virtual report but my initial virtual report had no mention of it and was not told verbally or on paper. I asked how much would it be to replace the battery and they advised over $350. This was my last sign to no longer come here. Over $350 for a battery and installation?? Crazy. I will not use them for the battery replacement and I will not use them for any future repairs. I do not recommend. TLDR: Good customer service, but car was not fixed to satisfaction and was extremely overcharged. Go somewhere else. read more

When I first moved to the area I needed some spark plugs replaced and they told me $3,000. Apparently there was a million critical things wrong with my car and it was too dangerous to drive. I find the reply from the business owner comical. They don't call so as not to be intrusive? When they knew I needed the car back as soon as possible and that I was staying at a nearby hotel. They said they would call, so I expected a call. And I wasn't notified by text. It was an e-mail. More lies. How could I possibly argue price when the cost was verbally quoted to me over the phone? My review clearly stated that I scrutinized the invoice after I got home. Had the parts not been marked up at such an exorbitant rate, I would have understood and accepted the cost for the repair. But nowhere in their reply do they address the extreme markup. Avoidance typically equates to guilt. As far as their ludicrous offer of matching or beating a dealer's price for repair, why on earth would I bring a car that was just repaired to a dealer for an estimate? Why would I waste my time? The purpose of my review was to shine a glaring light on the ridiculous rates in which parts are marked up as well as their poor communication and shoddy work. But of course, their reply was purely an effort to save face, and not to properly address my many legitimate concerns. This is a business that operates on a very nefarious level and you'd be well advised to avoid bringing your vehicle to them for any type of work whatsoever. I wouldn't bring my lawnmower to this place. Having read the other one star reviews, there does appear to be a pattern of overcharging and gross negligence on many levels. And their proposed "resolution" is nothing more than empty, petty and meant to serve merely as a distraction. Stay far away if you know what's good for you. I went here just to get an estimate for my tires. I was told I needed 4 NEW tires. I said I'll think about it. I went to Walmart auto, and they said I only needed a plug for a small back tire leak. Plus Walmart offered me their promotion. I went to FORD and they were more honest then Walmart. I didn't need 4 brand new tires to fix the problem. Ford also offered me a promotion for tires similar to Pep boys. I didn't need a wheel alignment for a car that had one 4 months ago also. I was greeted right away, I explained my problem and the gentleman came right out and grabbed my car. How can a place go down hill so fast? New Management? It stinks! I have gone from singing the praises of this auto shop to NEVER going there again, nor would I recommend anyone to go there! It's too bad because this WAS a great auto shop. I went in to get an oil change there as I have done many times before. It was always a great deal for full synthetic at around $50 with a coupon and it included a car wash. Today I took my car in with the coupon and walked paying $80 for the oil change, no car wash and being told I need windshield wipers and a front alignment, interesting since both were done less than a month ago. The wipers work fine and the car runs true. I said to the manager that I thought the cost of the oil change was a bit high considering the coupon said $50, his response was yep. Frankly in my opinion Honest 1 has become Dishonest 1, and they won't make another cent off of me. My advice is find another auto shop and avoid this one. read more

I was like "this can't be somewhere where oil covered boots traipse and people work on vehicles". This was my first service at Honest-1 and was impressed by several elements of their business. First it was easy, and convenient to request an appt online and to receive confirmation the next business day as well as receiving a reminder. Upon arrival I was greeted quickly and all interactions were professional and were complimented by the text updates during the course of the service. The overall vehicle safety inspection was thorough and not a "gimmick" just to try to coerce customer into more services. I never felt pressured to authorize additional work but really appreciated the report received by text with recommendations of items needing consideration now and recommendations for future services. I would be remiss not to mention the office/waiting room was functional, clean, and comfortable. Proceed with Extreme Caution! Our truck broke down on i4 on Thanksgiving Day. We took it here because it was the closest mechanic from where we broke down. The next day they take a look at it, tell us what they think is wrong and we agree to pay the proposed price for the proposed repairs. The price included over $100 for a new Motorcraft Ignition Coil. When we get the truck back it is still making strange sounds and not running right. We get back to our house and decide to do a more thorough inspection of the "repairs" this place made. We found that 1) the vacuum hose to the engine was not reconnected and 2) a USED Motorcraft Ignition Coil was placed into the truck, instead of the new one we paid for. They did not ask us whether they could place a used part into our vehicle, we did not give them permission, and we paid for a new part. Now when we contacted the place informing them of the issues we found and sending them pictures; they were professional and told us to come back so they could fix it again. The problem is that had we not looked inside of engine and had we not possessed some knowledge of the engine, we would have never known that they tried to scam us. We also would not have known that they failed to properly connect the hose back to the engine, which could have caused more serious problems to the vehicle later on. The vacuum hose was easily fixed, we just reconnected it. We will also state that when we came back for the second time, they did show my husband the new piece (they should have used in the beginning) and allowed him to watch as they installed it. Naturally, we did not trust them to be honest without proof. The Assistant Manager was professional. But, he tried to persuade us to believe that they "accidentally" installed an obviously used part into our vehicle. They said they installed the used piece to see if it would fix the problem and then forgot to take it out and place the new piece we paid for in. We honestly do not believe him. We think that he is lying to cover for the fact that we caught them attempting to sell us a used part claiming it is new. Please proceed with caution if you choose this place. Have them explain everything to you. And make sure you have someone you trust look over their work, if you don't know what to look for or yourself. My muffler was making extra noise, so I called the dealership. They had no openings for that day, so I called Honest-1. They were closer and they had availability same day. I brought my car out, and They offered to deliver me home. They diagnosed it and contacted me to let me know that the muffler was fine, but the original weld failed. They informed me that taking it to a muffler shop to reweld it would be most cost effective. They could have just told me they needed to replace the muffler, and I would have been much poorer. They cared about my car and my pocketbook more than theirs. I recommend their service to anyone who wants that Honest opinion and great work! read more

HONEST-1, NOT HONEST AT ALL! Took my 2006 Ford Explorer in for a routine oil change that 23 miles later would cost me $4,000.00 There were no issues with my vehicle before bringing it to them. I received the oil change and drove from Deltona (Howland Rd) to Debary and back home to Howland Road. The next day my wife drove from Deltona exit 114 to Deltona exit 108 and poof she's in a cloud of smoke. I went to my wife and lifted the hood and there was tools underneath on the the engine, radiator cap was loose and the coolant reservoir top was off. I had the vehicle towed back to Not So Honest-1 and spoke to Andrew (MGR) who went on to tell me my wife was negligent and should have pulled over immediately when she saw smoke. Damn Andrew, that's the best you could come up with? This happened in 2022 and although they're only a mile away I've vowed to NEVER do business with them and to let anyone who's in earshot know how terrible they are. BTW, your receipt tells you to call in if you have any issues with the service and speak to the owner Sharon. Well that number is the shops number and you'll only get the people you were complaining to before but NO SHARON! Apparently Sharon was out of the country for 2 weeks. Andrew was nice enough to offer me an engine for 6323.00 that they would gladly install....GTFOH! read more

I went here to get a break estimate and they said that they had to do an expection on the car first so I was like OK even though the car is brand new OK but then the two service advisor started arguing right in front of me about stealing tickets and stealing money from each other. So I jumped in my car and all that because that obviously means that they work off commission and try to sell you higher so they can make more money.
