However, right before my inspection I found out these other services could not be provided. My home inspector provided great pictures and a lot of issues were in the report. However, my home inspector missed a lot of big concerns. The electrical was all messed up and needed rewiring (not too expensive to fix but this was a missed fire hazard). The new furnace was installed incorrectly and the furnace venting was too small ($5,000 bill). The electrical outlets weren't even grounded. How does a home inspector missed that?? It literally is just putting in a cheap testing device into the outlets to check them.

Turns out most of his comments were inaccurate with the contractor commenting the report was embarrassing for the inspector. They were simple errors but could have been costly in the buying process. The inspector read the meter wrong and stated the house didn't have enough power, I had DTE in to look and they said he was using the model number thinking it was the BTU's instead of the actual BTU. It was non stop addressing each point from this company/guy to find out they were not accurate. My realtor mentioned this guy is known for problems during the inspection process.
