This company missed my clearly obvious bad pipes. Cement was used to connect some pipes, shower backed up when ran more then one minute. I had to get a complete house repipe totaling over 5,000.00!! I hired Weatherstone Property Inspections to inspect a home I was purchasing.. The inspector, Mike failed to identify major crawl-space and structural issues, including a crooked and twisting support beam with a nearby unattached jack, the main beam resting on light duty jacks placed directly on soil and broken concrete pieces, and an improper vapor barrier that caused high moisture levels and rusting. After I moved in and entered the crawl space myself, I discovered these issues and obtained two independent evaluations from FSM and HomeSpec. Both companies confirmed the same serious structural defects and estimated that repairs would cost nearly $20,000. Mike later left a voicemail with my agent acknowledging that he "missed it." Had these issues been identified during the original inspection, I would have either addressed them with the seller before closing or negotiated an adjustment to the purchase price to remediate the damage. Instead, I am now left with significant and unexpected repair costs. read more

I called a handful of home inspectors and decided that Weatherstone offered the most comprehensive service compared to its competitors. In addition to a home inspection, I ordered a radon inspection and a sanitary scope & evaluation. Two inspectors started the inspection promptly and were already on the roof when I arrived. The inspection took two hours. I was allowed to follow Zach and the other inspector around the house and issues that I should be aware of were clearly explained to me. I appreciated the transparency and thoroughness of the inspection process. A 45-page inspection report including photos and video was sent to me the following day. I will be using this report in the years to come when planning annual home maintenance and things to look out for from the basement to the chimney. The housing market has been crazy the last several years, but the worst thing you can do when purchasing real estate is to waive an inspection like this one. Corey was great! Very thorough with great attention to detail. I loved the final report he provided to us. It was incredibly comprehensive and included many pictures. He also inspected our house that we were selling and did an excellent job recommending what may need to be fixed (due to the buyers attaining an FHA loan). Was referred by our real estate agent to to use this inspection company as part of our purchase agreement. After purchasing the condo we realized it has galvanized plumbing instead of copper. Their inspection report mentioned nothing about having galvanized plumbing. In fact, nothing is mentioned about the kitchen & bathroom plumbing either. Only that the hot water tank has copper supply lines and a basement laundry faucet was leaking at the handle. I called to discuss with Zac (their lead inspector) and he said if they don't find anything wrong they don't put anything in their inspection report about the plumbing. Not mentioning anything in their inspection report about the condo having galvanized plumbing instead of copper for water supply is a major oversight. Zac didn't seem to care since I already paid them and they have over 800+ five star reviews. He never offered a discount for the over sight nor to come out and re-inspect the plumbing. The original inspector Justin said they would charge me to come out again. You might want to consider hiring another inspection company. read more

Corey may have been a good inspector, however, he was incredibly rude and snarky to me (mother of buyer) today. He has no right to speak to anyone the way he did to me. It was completely unwarranted, I didn't even talk to him, he was introduced to me and started with the eye roll, and snarky comments. So unprofessional. Everyone one of us has bad days, you never bring them to work with you. The old adage of "Treat others as you'd like others to treat you" He needs to remember this the next time he goes to a job.
