Throughout almost the entire season, communication with parents was minimal. As recital approached, there was no dress rehearsal scheduled for the day before the performance, and no communication about that until parents began asking questions during the week of the recital. Even more concerning, no information was provided regarding arrival times, check-in procedures, or what was expected of the dancers throughout the day. The only information parents received came after repeatedly asking, and the response was essentially, "I think 10:30 will work" for an 11:00 a.m. recital. In the entire 9 months my daughter participated, I never learned the instructors' names and never met the owner a single time. That level of disconnect is surprising and, in my opinion, unprofessional for a youth program. As someone who has coached youth programs for several years, I understand the importance of communication with parents--especially when working with very young children. Keeping families informed should be a priority, not an afterthought. I am grateful for the experience my daughter had and the enjoyment she got from dancing. However, I am completely dissatisfied with how this business is managed. It feels as though the owner may be stretched too thin between multiple locations and simply does not have the time to properly oversee and support the Bath location. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this studio. I hope this review helps other parents make an informed decision when choosing a dance program for their child.

Students have said that the teachers make learning fun and at the same time challenging while learning. Don't waste your money going anywhere else if you want an enjoyable experience for you or your child to learn to dance. Teachers are always accessible to talk to and are very understanding, patient and willing to help students and parents with any questions or concerns. Their competition teams are awesome and have won numerous awards. There is also alot of one-on-one attention given to students during their classes. This is a school where the teachers really invest themselves in your dance education whether you are looking to be a serious dancer or a recreational dancer.

I love The Floor for many reasons,…read morefirst and foremost being owner Kristie Schillaci and the wonderful community of dancers and celebration of movement she's cultivated. The new space is located on Monroe Ave and could NOT be more convenient. Make a quick left or right off the expressway and BOOM - there's easy parking lot around the back where the main entrance into the studio is. The studio is primarily focussed on dance for kiddos and teens, but I've been lucky to take some of the evening classes they offer for adults, all of which have been outstanding - even for me who is more of an "enthusiastic mover" than dancer. I love how convenient it is for me to make a month-long, once a week commitment to try something new and get moving in a new way. I am currently enjoying adult hip hop class and teacher Solange makes class FUN, accessible, and inclusive of all abilities. I can't recommend enrolling your kiddo here OR taking a class yourself enough. They offer a full schedule of ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and more for young learners, and sessions for adults are changed up throughout the year. We contacted them about two weeks before our wedding--the panicked point at which we realized we wanted to look good dancing our first dance as a married couple. (Note: I advise contacting them much, much sooner.) Thanks to their patience, good humor, and most of all, their SKILL in teaching the non-gifted the basics; we made it through our first dance very well. In fact, we actually got compliments from many of our guests on how well we danced. What I like most is that the spouse and I now have a new, social, active hobby the two of us can pursue together. It's hard to give this place a bad review when your kid is having so much fun and looks forward to going to her dance class. The studio does a fund raiser for the children's hospital around Christmas. I was very impressed with the turn out. The kids loved it and I had fun too.

My experience with The Next Jennaration has been wonderful…read more I live ten hours away so viewing the recitals each year has been nothing short of perfection. The students so clearly love what they do, and work so hard. You can sense the feeling of togetherness from the audience and you can hear about how their teamwork, hard work and chemistry pay off with the many many awards, scholarships, choreography awards, appearances on live TV shows (Dance Moms, America's Got Talent, Live Streaming of the Battles) and many other awards that this group brings. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work the front desk for 6 months this year and I could not believe the family atmosphere that the studio has. The office manager (Miss Vonnie) is always ready to meet everyone with a smile and kind, helpful encounter. The owner (Miss Jenna) brings a passion and love for the studio that is second to none. You will find her in the studio 99% of the time with the dancers, and when she is able to come out to the lobby she comes out with an energy showing how much she loves the students and working with them. The teachers have mostly grown up in the studio (Miss Deja, Miss Jessie, Miss Katie, Miss Taylor) and became The Next Jennaration Family and give back to the younger dancers by transitioning their role from team member themselves, to teachers. Other primary instructors (Miss Maria, Miss Jodi) have been training students since the opening and bring the best energy and a technical knowledge that brings everyone to another level. Miss Jodi even trained Miss Jenna when she was younger! :) The students have so much fun with dance and the social interactions that the studio brings. The students work so hard every time they get the chance to be in the studio. Outside of the studio, they are doing fun things to better themselves and the world. You can witness the way that these students are thinking about bettering the world by watching the team groups finding ways to give back to the community in their free time or competing in competitions that are solely fundraisers for causes in need. I started dancing with Miss Jenna was I was six years old at summer dance camp, in 2005! I still remember that first day of that camp when I met Miss Jenna and the other dancers, I knew I found my forever dance family. As of four years ago, I was given the opportunity from Miss Jenna pursue my summer internships at the dance studio. This is something common you will find at TNJ, as the staff consists of alumni, like myself, that have so much love and admiration for Miss Jenna, other staff members, and the current dancers. To be able to show our passion for dance, that was first founded at the same studio, to the current dancers is one of the greatest opportunities I have experienced here. When you step through the door you are always welcomed with the most warm and energetic presence from Miss Jenna, the staff, and of course your dance friends. The atmosphere in the studio is something so incredibly special. The level of energy, positivity, and appreciation from one another is so strong you can not help but feel loved when you leave your dance class. I feel this is due to the family-like emphasis Miss Jenna has for all of her dancers. I have created some of the strongest and longest friendships with the dancers I have made at the studio, which I am forever grateful for! As well, commitment not only to yourself, but others around you, is something very unique that we all feel towards each other from the very first time dancing together.
