The process of discovery, planning, costing, scheduling and finally installation are always executed in great detail. The stores are loaded with great samples and if you desire something A product that isn't on hand they will procure it and ship it to you if needed. Lastly, with as many projects as I have worked on there will be a small percentage of warranty work. This typically is a manufacturing defect or some other issue that mars the beauty of the work. There has never been a hesitation to make it right in the few instances this has happened. Overall you will be kicking yourself if you go to one of the other stores or the big box store in town and not Floors Plus. Highly recommend!

He told us he needed a 50% deposit immediately so he could order materials, so we paid him $2,800 via Venmo on 2/13/24. We offered a 7 day span to have the service done, and he scheduled to come out to do the work on 2/22/24. Since this is our vacation home, it required a special trip out of state via air travel for this service with Jason and another contractor to be completed. On 2/21/24, the night before the appointment, I attempted to confirm with Jason for the next day. He texted to say he was sick and wasn't coming (I doubt he was planning on letting me know since I had not heard from him until I reached out). I offered to extend my trip by three days so that he could get the work done. He told me he was "booked up" and couldn't do it, so he rescheduled us for 4/12/24 with a promise that he'd be there. I confirmed this appt on 3/25/24 and 4/5/24 via text to make sure we were on the same page. On 4/11/24 (the day before our appointment) I tried to confirm our appointment for the next day with Jason. I received no response to the three texts I sent throughout the day. Jason finally texted at 5pm on 4/12/24 (the day he was scheduled to do the work) to tell me he was sick again and that his phone was off. By this point, I was fed up with his lack of professionalism and started researching his reviews, only to find several complaints of the same nature (not showing up to do the work, lying to customers, taking deposits but not actually completing the work), and other customers saying the work he did do was of very poor quality. In addition, I found records of a violent criminal history and no longer felt safe having him at our home under any circumstances. I told Jason that we were done trying to work with him and needed our deposit back. He tried to get me to take the materials he "purchased for our job", but I told him no since I have no way of completing the floor process myself. He told us he would still come out to do the job and blamed me for having a "limited timeframe", instead of taking responsibility for his no shows (twice). I declined his offer based upon his lack of professionalism and negative reviews. On 4/20/24, he agreed to refund us by 4/27/24, but that hasn't happened as of today's date. He now says he doesn't have the money and it will take longer to get it to us, so basically he's a thief. I don't believe him and fear he will continue to give us the run around, so I'll likely have to contact an attorney. Already filed a complaint with the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS GUY FOR ANYTHING AND NEVER GIVE HIM A DEPOSIT.

I'm finally getting around to writing this review about a month and a half after the work was completed, and I just got off the phone with Jose a few minutes ago. We thought a shut off valve had been covered by the flooring, but it turned out the installer had done skilled craftmanship to cover the valve while still leaving easy access to it. The LVP is lifting in areas because there are uneven surfaces. The LVP has lifted so much, that the boards are sharp where they have popped. I contacted Modern Flooring Services and they informed me that my warranty expired in February (2 months back) and that they won't be able to help me. This isn't a warranty issue, this is an installation issue. Don't use this company as they won't make good on their mistakes. They did offer to provide an estimate to repair the work, however. UMMM.
