He was friendly and polite. He did fine laying downing the flooring over our old hardwood floor. It was a 2 day job and both days he came much later than he told us he would. Towards the end of day 2 he was running out of time to finish. He was also not very good with the quality of the finishing. He had to cut a couple of floor registers because the trim he put in was too wide for the registers to fit back in place. The edge was jagged and he tried to cover it up with caulking. It looked very messy. Because he was running so late a couple of older employees came in to help him. They were good at cutting the angles on the trim. There was a large gap between the end of the floor planks and the door going into the garage. They filled the space with clear silicone. It looked very messy and as time went on it looked dirty because it was sticky. When the owner asked for final payment I paid immediately. He also asked if I was happy with the job. It told him about the registers and the gap by the garage door. He said not to worry and that he would make it "perfect". Over the next 2 1/2 months Dymitry, the owner said they would be there soon to fix it. They never followed through. Finally an appointment and time was set but once again they failed to show up on time. I waited over 2 hours. Dymitry always texted that he would be coming so I was very surprised that the person who showed up to make it "perfect" was the same young guy who had made it messy in the first place. He did smooth out and paint the registers. The gap was filled with black silicone and still looks messy and unfinished. I would not recommend this company.

J&C Contractors did an extensive renovation of our kitchen, laundry, and powder rooms. It was a…read moretotal "to the studs" (& beyond) project, and John and his team were fantastic to work with. This project involved multiple structural changes, as we moved load-bearing walls and pushed out an exterior wall to add square footage to the space, plus HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, siding, windows, tiling, hardwoord flooring, cabinets and custom carpentry, painting, etc. We especially appreciated how John and Marcos would talk through options with us. They always gave us clear choices with an understanding of how they would impact pricing and timelines. We also really appreciated their flexibility when we decided to push out the exterior wall, which was a change to the original scope. John worked hard to get the engineer and city back quickly to approve the permit revision, and also was strategic about what work continued while we waited for that to ensure we weren't taking on unnecessary risk. The attention to detail is another thing the J&C team does exceptionally well - we had custom cabinets with a really complicated façade to cover a soffit, and the team didn't think the original plan looked good enough, so they basically built an extra piece from scratch to make the entire thing look seamless. For our window installation, Marcos came up with a brilliant idea for how to frame the window using the same stone slab as our backsplash and it's truly one of my favorite features. Also, I realize it seems like a given, but based on many other renovations we've seen, the fact that everything is perfectly level and centered is huge (even the cabinet drawer faces all line up exactly!). Finally, the team did a fantastic job keeping the area as clean as possible. This was critical as we chose to live in our house during the renovation. They would regularly inspect the plastic walls and make sure things were sealed well, plus they cleaned up after themselves every day and when the project was completed. Really fantastic experience, and we'll be hiring J&C for any future projects!

Just got done with a massive remodel in our home in Silver Firs area. We went from a house that was…read more80% stuck in 1987 that was driving us crazy. Most folks I met with had a lot experience in remodel work but Richard has vision and imagination. Our initial elation was tempered a little when we uncovered some badly patched areas that we thought might not be able to be repaired. But then we contacted Hardwood Perfections. They came out quickly and advised us that indeed they could repair all of the damage and could do it on a timetable that fit perfectly into our plans. The floor refinishing crew did amazing work. After pulling up all of the damaged materials they rebuilt portions of the subfloor and then laced in new oak boards in a way that matched the existing floor perfectly. Next were several rounds of sanding to remove the old finish and even out everything. On the third and final day they applied Bona Natural water-based sealer followed by three coats of Bona matte finish. The results were stunning. Hardwood Perfections completely transformed this living space into something beautiful and amazing. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was flawless. All along the way we were advised of what was happening so there were never any surprises. Hardwood Perfections finished the job a full day ahead of schedule, did amazing work and stuck right to the estimate for services. Everything was fantastic and I heartily recommend them to anyone seeking to have old floors refinished or renewed. Hats off to Slav, Silviu and William for their truly amazing work.

Glad we covered things, that was not done or done very well. Slav said they would move the range and seal there, they didn't. Said they would remove the trim, not looking like they did. Now wondering about under the fridge. Why write this? I was not home for this work, recommend that you see that what was agreed to is done. I paid for those things. Getting refund for range and sealing off rooms, but would rather have had the work done right than discover what wasn't done. As for the refinishing, they nailed the loose boards I identified and sanded/sealed. Looks good.
