We live in Mission Viejo, and just had the walls in all rooms on the first floor of our newly acquired 2-story home painted by DK Painting OC. It was a great experience, and the results were fantastic. Brysen Wells and his crew get 5-PLUS stars for: Communication - All aspects of the job were set out in writing ahead of time. Brysen also told us in advance what would happen at each phase, and if anything changed, he notified us right away. We didn't have to wonder. He visited the site every morning, to review progress with us and make sure his guys were clear on the objectives for the day. He called us if any questions came up, and was always available by phone or text if we needed to contact him. Expertise - we benefited from Brysen's extensive experience. Not only did he recommend certain products or finishes, he explained why. He also answered our questions regarding what would look good in terms of potential color combinations, accent colors, etc. Protection of floors, furniture, mirrors, window coverings - they used protective paper and/or plastic to provide everything you could hope for in terms of protecting the things that are at risk in any painting project. Quality of materials and workmanship - no cheapie paints; it was all Sherwin-Williams high quality material. The painters were highly skilled and organized; we could tell they'd been doing this for quite some time. Attention to detail - this being a 29-year old home, the usual assortment of wall dings and defects were present, and they were patched and/or textured as needed. Brysen even pointed out some things we hadn't noticed before. We could tell he wanted us to be completely satisfied with the results, and he didn't keep that a secret. Interaction with homeowners - Brysen has a friendly, steady manner with both his customers and his employees. All his painters were quiet, job-focused, hard-working, neat, and pleasant to interact with. Safety, credentials and insurance - We saw solid safety practices by the crew. Brysen is a licensed contractor, and he carries workers compensation and liability insurance for his entire operation. He provides a certificate of insurance ahead of time. Exceeded expectations - DK Painting OC's stated goal is to exceed customer expectations, and they did just that. We are VERY pleased. read more

I was very impressed with how quick they came over, gave me good suggestions and was able to work on my house right away. I couldn't be happier with DK Painting. We live in San Juan Capistrano and needed to have the second story shutters painted, as the home owners association complained that our paint was peeling. We already had the paint and needed someone to climb to the second floor to paint the shutters. I had the pleasure of working with Darren, Chris and Ivan from DK Painting in April of 2021 for an exterior paint job to my home. It was a first class experience from beginning to end. They did outstanding prep work to the outside of the house which had many cracks and defects. Work began with a thorough pressure washing, then scraping loose paint and unsound stucco from the walls. Next, they patched everywhere and blended the stucco so you could barely tell the old from the new. Finally, they primered the whole house, backrolled it, and sprayed on the final color. About one week has passed and we've already received compliments from several neighbours. We can't believe how much better the house looks! Darren told us from the beginning that he would not be the cheapest bid but he also wouldn't be the most expensive. He asked us to keep in mind that he and his team are true professionals and would get the job done right. We certainly feel that that was the case and we can highly recommend the DK painting team. I came across Darren because his crew was painting my next door neighbors home. I was very impressed with the amount of preparation and attention to detail they were doing. On my block, his company has now painted 5 homes including ours. I figured he must be doing something right. After getting 3 other paint bids, I chose to go with Darren and his team because the price was fair (not the lowest) for the amount of work that needed to be done. I felt very confident that DK Painting would do a thorough job, but I had no idea that his crew (namely Louie and Bryson) would be so meticulous and would take such care to make sure that we were happy.
