Thompson was VERY knowledgeable and gave me all the info I needed to know on the phone. I offered to pay, of course. People in fields like this are selling knowledge and as basically a knowledge worker myself (network engineer) I told him I'd be glad to pay his fee because "I don't work for free and don't expect you to."
