People that work there are very friendly. I've been there many many times in the last 3 months. I've obtained a class A driver's license gone back and gotten all the endorsements. Do yourself a favor and tell them you don't want a real ID you want a state ID from Nevada do not get the real ID. It is a trap. They will track you and trace you for everything that you do with this carbon tax that they have an implemented yet, but they will or will they will try. They will automatically enroll you in real ID unless you state specifically I only want a state ID. read more

It's noon on September 16, 2024. I checked in and the wait time was 2 hrs 1 min. There was lots of free parking. Inside and out, the place was clean. Lots of seats for the wait. During my wait I could see and hear the workers. They were all so friendly and polite. After my 2hr wait, I too was greeted by a nice friendly man. He was helpful and explained everything to me. I stayed up late printing wrong form. She was extremely polite and helpful. That team this morning was professional and quick. My wife and I went in on a Thursday morning at 8 AM . Our experience was great. The lines were short , Yolanda was kind, friendly and professional, and got us out in 45 minutes .I would recommend going in Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and avoid any day before or after a holiday. First of all the good news, I was there about 745 and they actually started serving customers about 750, before the opening time of 8 o'clock, I was impressed by that. And then, I was there to take some tests for my CDL (after dealing with some pretentious attitude--OK maybe they had a stressful COVID week, I accept that), took those tests and finished at 10. It was all the way until almost 3 o'clock before they called me in to issue the learners permit... It took all day long, in fact eight hours and four minutes for me to get my learners permit... Of course, during the pandemic they may have been shorthanded, with more people applying for a CDL's than ever, ... would it not be possible for the state to recognize a larger than normal flow of people through there and staff up to accommodate that? You know we have no alternative, we cannot go anywhere else--we have to go to the DMV, so there's no competitive pressure to please a customer, but I'm asking for the state to look ahead on such issues and show leadership, As it stands now (late Aug 2020), get in line at 7:30, 30 minutes before they open, and still plan on spending all day long there read more

The first time I came here, it was during my lunch break and it literally took me 30-45 min. That was last year. This year, I show up at 0750, 8th one in line and I was waiting for over an hour. 5hr wait to get my MT CDL Transferred to a NV CDL. The only DMV office in Clark county that does CDL's. I waited in line outside for over an hour just to get in the door. After that, 4 more hrs of waiting to speak with someone. TERRIBLE!! read more

Unfortunately, I have a CDL license and have to come here to turn in a physical. This office is very small, slow and have minimal windows open. You can't do dash lash to check in before you get here either. Simple things to be handled takes so long here. There needs to be some changes enforced to speed up the process to care for the customers. When I arrived there were 14 people ahead of me 30 minutes ago and the line is not moving. Absolutely the worst experience dealing with DMV, I would highly recommended one of our state Representatives visit for this horrible place for an experience. You stand in line for 2 hours as you watch employees take breaks and chat chat it up with each other. It's more like a place for animals, that's the environment that is created here. Came at 8am on a tuesday...waited an hour to get a number at information. Arrive at 8am when they open the doors but there was a line out the door. Waited another hour and a half to be seen at counter. Be prepare for this. The first hour is standing. Infomation tellers are taking test people, taking phone calls and a person or two here and there. Also the counter people take one person then take a break, walk around, etc. My phone said 11 people in front, 20 mins. Ha!!!! This CDL only DMV is worse than regular DMV. About 35 people waiting in line but took 1:35 hrs to get to the help desk then another 1:30 hrs to be assisted just to update a medical card. Anyway this review will just fall on deaf ears, it's the government. read more

The staff was in their own world obvious to the line that went on forever, and at one point it was outside in 90 degree heat. This is just a theory but I believe that the longer it takes them to serve a customer is equal to the amount of break time they receive between customers.
