I also couldn't help noticing that I was treated differently than my friends, who are white -- I can't say for certain why, but it's something I noticed and want to be transparent about. Given how rushed and incomplete the service was, I chose not to tip. When I raised the issue with the manager (Ashley) , I was met with a dismissive "oh" and nothing more -- no apology, no effort to address it. I would not recommend Aura Day Spa. Equal service shouldn't be a surprise -- it should be the standard, and that's where I'll spend my money!!!

This type of massage doesn't take place on the typical massage table. The whole vibe of the room was a mix of a relaxing spa and HEAVEN! My therapist came into the room and the magic started!! While stretching my body, she found knots on my body that I didn't even know I had! She contorted my body in ways I didn't know it w could bend! She then got a walker and began walking on my back...my legs...my feet, my arms...my hands...you get it! The only place she didn't walk on was my head (they offer a separate massage especially for your head and I plan on checking it out as well)!! The head massage is called an "Indian head" massage . The process of checking in and getting around was simplified by them taking the time to walk me where I needed to go rather than just telling me, which was appreciated. I was walked to the area where I changed into a robe and was subsequently accompanied to the massage area. Unfortunately for me, there were a lot of stairs, something that my knee and foot surgeries did not appreciate. It was a little awkward to sit in a small, public waiting area wearing a robe but it's a minor sacrifice. I had a massage with Audrey, who was very nice and professional. I appreciated that she took the time to ask me about my concern areas and my goals for the massage. QQ1 is on-brand to telegraph a message of trust to consumers. Perhaps akin to American small businesses that use such titles as A1, Best, and Top Service, among others. It's so endearing that any modern small business would invest such thought and care into these details. Yet QQ1 has. And it shows in their scheduling flexibility when a new client first calls to see if any appointments are open for a new client's unexpected back pain flair-up. Which is surely going to be exacerbated by the added pain in the neck of trying to find a quick available time to get a professional therapist treatment. Which makes it great to know that I when you call QQ1 they will say: just drive over. They handle this type of thing all the time.
