I visited Fountains Day Spa once, and had a great, relaxing experience. After my infant daughter was diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas last year, my husband thought a spa day would be a perfect gift and purchased a spa day gift certificate for me. I emailed to check their availability, and asked what their cancellation policy was, given she may need chemotherapy in the coming weeks, potentially with little notice. The response below was internal communication that wasn't meant to see, but was accidentally left on the email thread. Tee is a hurtful, callous person to respond in such a manner, especially given all I did was ask what their policy was, and at no point asked for any special treatment. Tee has made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable to even step foot in that place again. My infant daughter's cancer is, and always will be more important than a spa service, especially when the practitioner is disgustingly inconsiderate and thoughtless. 0/10. Rude, hurtful, inconsiderate and insensitive employee named Tee. Hope he never has a baby with cancer, and if he does, that his community is far kinder to him than he is to others. read more

I can't say enough how much I love the reflexology at Fountain's Day Spa. I love that Suzanne talks to you and tells you the points she is working on. I have had reflexology before but they never discussed the points they were hitting as they worked. On the days I have the service done, I sleep so well. When my mom was in town, I treated her to reflexology. It was her first time and she loved it! It will be her treat every visit! My husband uses Andi for massages here. I want to start this review off by saying Carla is one of the best massage therapists to work on me. Carla and the massage were an easy 5 stars. My deep tissue massage with Carla was amazing. I have been dealing with some low back and hamstring tightness and she was determined to get me right! Carla provided a warm and relaxing environment for me while providing me with great care. She applied strong pressure without causing pain or discomfort and she was intentional to check in with me throughout. The experience that I had with the desk staff is what influenced my decision to drop one star. There were two women at the desk when I arrived about 5 minutes before my massage. One was warm and welcoming, and the other was definitely less so. Neither of the receptionists were rude at all to be clear. However, since this day spa was highly recommended, I expected to feel more welcomed and appreciated as a first-time client. I started coming to this spa some 5-6 years ago. Love Suzanne, the owner. She's caring, professional, and absolutely top notch as an aesthetician. Even after I moved away from this area after covid, I still made a point to come see her for a facial whenever I was in town. I would've given this place a five-star were it not for the receptionist's poor service. I've disliked dealing with this woman from day one. She's incredibly unpleasant and treats customers with a tone and demeanor that is quite disrespectful. The good spas all make you feel welcome and pampered. In every interaction I've had with the receptionist, she's acted like she's a school teacher and the customer third-grader. It's highly offensive, especially given that this spa isn't exactly cheap. I ignored the unpleasantness for years because I was a huge fan of Suzanne's. Last month was when the unpleasantness reached a new height. I made an appointment with Suzanne and wanted to make some changes before the 24-hour deadline. The receptionist refused to accommodate in her usual unpleasant fashion. I was never informed of the restrictions she mentioned when I made my appointment. I asked if I could speak to Suzanne. The receptionist said no and informed me that she was Suzanne's daughter and spoke for the owner. That last part was truly annoying. There's nothing wrong with a family business but the receptionist clearly has a sense of entitlement. In some ways, it explains her bad service and bad attitude. I canceled the appointment with Suzanne and will not be going back. It's too bad. Suzanne had provided wonderful facials and addressed my skincare needs over the years. Yet her daughter provided the reason to end that relationship. read more

Please take warning and review all of the other posts regarding gift certificates. If you buy a gift certificate from this business they are unable to verify that it is theirs if it expires. We had a gift certificate that expired during the pandemic and they got to keep the money for the gift certificate without providing a service. They made profit on a gift certificate scam. We were unable to redeem it because the employee said she could not verify that it was real. It was in their hand writing, had their company logo on it, and was issued by them. I will never use them again for any services, and will be passing this information onto the client that gave us the certificate, and our community to stop using them. The hydra dermis facial with reflexology are excellent. Getting the reflexology during the facial allows the moisture mask time to infuse more moisture into my skin. The staff are very courteous and the spa is very clean. This facial has made a big difference in the condition of my skin. I got a package deal as a gift. It included a facial, scrub, and massage. It was my first dry scrub. I'm not sure if I didn't like that, or I wasn't a fan of the spa. But, it wasn't a particularly relaxing experience. I much prefer the standard (less fancy, less expensive) Korean spa skin scrubs. The massage was nice in terms of pressure, but the masseuse purposefully put shea into my hair. Omg, I cannot stand that sensation. I left feeling icky. The facial wasn't possible because no one was in that provided that service, which is fine because I used most of the extra gift card credit on a large heating pad (by Kozi) from the spa merchandise area. This thing is AMAZING. I'll probably use the rest of the credit to buy a second one. I LOVE it so much. I've even recommended it to several people. Today's massage was a combination (medium pressure) 80-minute massage with hot stones. I have sciatica and trouble with intense muscle tightness in my legs. Courteous front desk that went over all the Covid questions etc. This was very comforting. Free 2 hour parking was a huge plus. My therapist was Francis who did a brief overview of reflexology without getting bogged down in the details. My session was very thorough. Francis was used the perfect amount of pressure. Honestly, I think the only negative was the size of the service room. Not a big deal but I guess I'm more concerned about the space the various therapists have to work in and if it's comfortable for them. At any rate, I'll definitely book again. I want to start off by saying the actual massage was amazing. My therapist, Amy, did a great job. It was very relaxing and she applied good medium pressure which I appreciated. The only reason I'm giving an average review is because I felt the front desk could be more approachable. I called a few weeks ago to book my appointment, and while I received the info I needed I still felt the interaction was cold. I inquired on how gift cards work and I felt the answers were condescending in a "uh didn't you read the website" kind of way. Which I did.. but I still feel like expanding on additional questions shouldn't come with attitude especially at a zen spa. On the day of my appointment I provided my gift card upfront as instructed, but after my massage the front desk attendant said I did not give a gift card. I said I had and noted what kind of gift card it was, which she then found and apologized. Fountains was my first stop post COVID vaccine last month after reviewing their COVID protocols online, which seemed appropriate. I proudly told my therapist that I had been vaccinated as a healthcare worker and finally felt comfortable coming in for a session. Her response was to tell me that she had the opportunity as a licensed professional to be vaccinated but declined and "wasn't that into western medicine" and spent a significant portion of the session asking me questions about the vaccine. While technique was excellent it was incredibly uncomfortable . An email to the manager including my intention to never return based on my experience resulted in with no attempt to remedy the situation including the lukewarm comment "I think based on your letter I need to move forward with looking into distributing more education on the vaccines to all of my staff" read more
