I rarely give bad reviews and am not picky. This is one of my worst experiences. We had a booking for massage for a couple for 7:00 pm on a Tuesday night. We arrived on time. No one was at the reception. The entire dimly lit unwelcome place was empty. All the doors to all the rooms were open. We were confused. After a while, a middle aged lady came out of a door by the entrance (we didn't see that door when we came in). She confirmed she knew about our booking. She asked us to wait for a little bit. Her English was poor but we tried to look at the bright side. There was no welcome. No water or tea. No music. Just a very dimly lit, sad, unwelcome, Soviet "living room". The lady disappeared into the room again without a word or any detail about why we had to wait. No news. We waited for 30 minutes. This was already a bad start to what was supposed to be a Valentine's Day gift (for me). It turned out there were two clients (or friends?) in that room. That room was set up for couple massage (with two tables). The two middle-aged ladies, both from mainland China, finished up and came out. They were chit chatting amongst themselves and talking about us. I felt very uncomfortable already but did not say anything. One lady then came to ask us what kind of room we preferred: singles or a double. Our booking was clearly for a couple massage. We reconfirmed we wanted a couple massage upon arriving. Clearly they do not speak English here. Meanwhile, the two female clients (a couple? friends? friends of the massage place?) took their sweet time packing up and dressing up. Finally they were out. After we indicated again we wanted to be together, the two ladies (apparently they only had 2 people working there) reluctantly went back to the room to clean up and get it ready for us. I am not sure they changed the sheets and towels. Finally it was our turn. After a long long wait. Were it not for the pre-paid groupon I would have left already. The two unpleasant, rough ladies once again talked amongst themselves just before the start of our massage: "Which one of us shall work on the girl and who works on the guy?" "Any difference?" Giggles. I understand Mandarin Chinese, but I did not hear or understand everything they said. From their accent I could tell they are from mainland China and uneducated. The massage was much too hard for me. Too much pressure. Painful. Not relaxing. I communicated in Mandarin and in English to no avail. She improved for a few minutes and then it was back to her old habit. She was probably a farmer? She pulled on my hair (when massaging my scalp). She messed up my hair big time. My hair was up in a horse tail. She pulled down half way my hair tie without even apologizing or showing any tenderness (she could have gently pulled down my hair tie and laid it by the side for example). It was me who had to discover the mess and let down my hair myself and put the hair tie on my wrist (all in the middle of the massage). Toward the end of the massage, she asked me to flip over to lie on my back. I reacted slowly because I didn't hear clearly what she said (broken English; followed by some kind of Mandarin Chinese). She laughed at me (to my face) talking to the other lady in the room, how I looked Chinese but did not speak Mandarin. I am NOT Chinese, but that's beside the point. How could they make rude comments either in clients' face or behind their back? We gave them each a 10% tip out of politeness. They snickered at us. What did they expect for the non-service? Such terrible terrible attitude. Come here at your own peril. Think twice.

When I checked in, there weren't any other patrons as far as I could tell. They sort of ushered me right into a room, which was kind of odd (usually there's some paperwork and you meet w the massage therapist to talk about what you want. They also didn't even ask for my name (I suppose if I was the only early morning appointment it doesn't really matter), but still kind of odd. The massage itself was great! When you look through the reviews, they are either overwhelming positive "omg there was so much pressure it was awesome" or negative "omg there was so much pressure it was awful." Spoiler alert: they use a ton of pressure. If you like that, you will like your massage. Jenny beat the crap out of my neck and shoulders. It hurt. A lot. But I'm used to it. And could probably stand an inch taller after the fact. Will definitely be back. Down a star for the oddness/the fact that I'm pretty sure my room was open an inch the whole time... and at some point my massage therapist had to leave to answer the phone. Weird.

I recieved positive vibes from Wendy and decided we will come here the next weekend. Today is Saturday March 29th and we had a 3:30pm aka 15:30 appointment. I called ahead and made an appointment so there wouldn't be any surprises when we showed up. Wendy was at her station when we arrived. I noticed some things about the place had changed. I put this to the back of my mind until later. Wendy was all smiles as I explained my wife would be going first. She was lead to a room I have once been in 8 years ago. While my my wife was undressing in the room, I was lead to another room where I could sleep for an hour while waiting for my massage. This room is set up for Ashiatsu Massage; as well, as your standard massage forms. Since I had some time on my hands, I took some pictures of the room I was in. Seeing it was going to be an hour before my massage, I had time to reflect on things that have changed here. I remembered Wendy having a partner in this business, but now she seems to works alone, unless specific reasons acquire a second masseuse/therapist. I had seen at another massage place, the women had portable tablets they could use to connect with the security cameras and see who is approaching and/entering the facility. I had the idea Wendy might have this new feature in security. It turns out I was correct on this notion, but did not find out until later on. Looking at the massage table, I decided to put a barrier between myself and the sheets I would be laying on. Using paper towels, I placed them where my back and big ass would go. It's something I do from time to time. Especially if I haven't been to the place for a long time. I then undressed and turned the lights out to tried to sleep. My mind did not sleep and I could hear people in different office buildings going about their jobs. I must have fallen asleep to some degree, but not by much. I felt Wendy lightly brushing her nails against my leg to wake me up. The hour massage for my wife went by fast...or so it seems. THE MASSAGE EXPERIENCE: 3/29/25 Since I was already laying on the table and ready for my massage, Wendy did not waste any time starting my massage. Wendy started the massge at my neck and shoulders line. She started massaging me through the drape cloth, but the massage did not feel the same is hands on skin. The option of draping or no draping lies with the client and the masseuse's agreement. If both parties agree, the draping cloth was removed and a better massage could be preformed. I was asked if I wanted Deep Tissue Massage or Swedish Massage? I went with Swedish Massage. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but Swedish Massage turned out to be more of a body rub. Especially since no pressure applied to my body. This had me thinking about the massage my wife had. As things turned out, my wife wasn't satisfied with the massage she had. My wife's massage felt like Wendy wasn't doing what she could to alleviate the pain my wife was feeling. My wife also felt Wendy was saving herself for me. I did not know this at the time, but I was hoping my wife's massage was acceptable. I was also informed the room my wife was in had mildew smell to it. My Room did not have a mildew smell...(except in a small closet. The cleaning machine needed its water changed)...If it did, then I did not pick up on it. Since catching Covid-19 back in 2021, my sense of smell hasn't been like it use to be. Wendy's massage was still enjoyable to me, because she got creative with her use of soft touch. Here's one example of what I am talking about. 90min Imagine Wendy playing different instruments and playing the tunes and speeds of the song on your body using only her fingers...songs like Don't Let Me Fall by B.o.b, Imagine by Say My Name by Destiny's Child, Sweet Dreams By Annie Lenox, John Lennon, Stand By Me by Ben E. King, Under The Bridge and Soul To Squeeze by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Yes, whether stimulating drums, violin, piano or the guitar, the massage felt wonderful. This is not something I have experienced before in this manner. The missed pressure I would get on the gluteus maximus or legs was sorely missed; however, Wendy made up for it with the soft touch and creative musical strokes. The one hour massage ended, but Wendy said "come back for two hours next time." I might take her up on that. I would like to complete my first card stamp for Wendy's business. Then collect on the free hour massage. I don't l know when I will be back, but it will be within this year. I will be sure to select the Deep Tissue Massage next time.

One thing I especially appreciated was that she didn't talk throughout the massage. With the massage area being in the gym, I was able to hear the hip hop/r&b music that they gym was playing even through the soft jazz/relaxation music being played in the massage room. Also, because the lights in the room were turned on, I could not fully relax. In the previous massages I have had, the lights were either off or dimmed. I would maybe give this business another try if they were ever to move to another location.

She raised me up from the dead! LOL! What she did was nothing short of a miracle! My blood circulation felt better. I felt reduced lymphedema (swelling) in my hands, legs, and feet. My body did not feel as stiff anymore. It was magical! It was as if she melted it away! She even did traction on my neck, and it felt great! I have worked in healthcare for nearly 10 years. I have friends who are doctors in several specialties, including chiropractic and physical therapy. Khin used a lot of technique compared to other massage therapists. She did some Gua Sha and Graston techniques to help stimulate the skin and break down scar tissue. She used hot stone therapy. She did pressure points. She did a variety of other massage techniques, such as Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, aromatherapy, and my favorites were the serpentine, infrapsinatus push, and scalene drag. A lot of other therapists seem to give a watered down version of a massage, but Khin gives you her whole arsenal of techniques! If you like to talk during your session, you can (and she is quite funny). If you prefer no talking and just relaxing, just let her know at the beginning. She is attentive to your preferences. Do not let her petite size fool you. This woman has strong hands! After several more sessions with her, I felt gradually better and better. These massages are worth every penny! If you are an athlete looking for a sports massage or if you simply want a maintenance massage for balancing the body and improving stagnation, I highly recommend this place! P.S. They may adjust the blanket to reach your thighs or butt (yes, they massage your butt lol), which sounds like it would be uncomfortable but actually isn't after the initial shock. The hot stones feel amazing for anyone thinking of trying them! I totally recommend. As far as tipping, it's like any other service. Yes, you should tip.
