This company responded very quickly to my request... Gave me a quote which included the price of the call to my home plus opening the lock to my utilities room. A locksmith by the name of Jeff came with all of his gear in his truck and quickly opened the lock and prepared to keys as replacements. We just locked ourselves out of our house and called DMV Locksmith. It took around 20 minutes for him to get us back inside our home once he got to us (took an hour and 15 minutes or so) and cost us $210 to unlock the deadbolt and doorknob lock (with a discount). He was great because he showed us what to do next time so we wouldn't need to call again. We would definitely use them again. Overall, the experience was smooth and we have no complaints. read more

I phoned DMV on Thursday to schedule a rekey of my lockset. They said they would be there between 3 and 4 that day. Four came and went with no call. So I called at 4:30 -- they had been delayed and would be there within an hour. 5:30 came and went - so I called again to ask if they were coming. "The job is taking longer than planned" so they could come after that. But since that would be too late, I was told they would have me first on the list for the next day and would 8:00 be okay -- to which I said that would be fine as long as they were on time. I said I didn't want to be hanging around the same way I had on Thursday. Friday morning - 8:00. No DMV. No phone call (are you surprised?). 9:00 I called and cancelled my "appointment". I would definitely use them again, they responded almost immediately and were able to get my car open within minutes. The technician that came, Saen, was very friendly and helpful. The only part i didn't like was the cost. $115 just to open my car door seems like a bit much considering I'm sure between the gas money to get to me and the 2 tools he used, probably didn't even cost that much. They also don't make you show any form of ID or anything so it could definitely be a more secure process because I very well could have been breaking into someones car. We had a late afternoon closing for our home, and when we reached out to see if we could schedule an appointment to have our locks re-keyed after closing, the owner replied that he would be out to our new home that same evening to help us secure our new residence. Needless to say, we didn't arrive to the property until 6:30pm! This was not a problem, and we were politely greeted by the owner who took a great amount of time to carefully review our current locks and discuss options with us. We found him to be extremely honest in his assessments, and not once did we feel like he was trying to make a sales pitch. After discussing numbers and options with him, we decided to replace all of our locks with a higher quality system. He ran to his office to gather the new locks we collected and came right back to complete the work; finishing the job at 11pm that night. At the end of his work, he asked me to look over everything to ensure I was satisfied. I noted that one deadbolt was a bit tough to turn into the locked position. He took a good look at the door and showed me that it wasn't the lock, but our door that was actually hung off-plumb by a hair. In a matter of minutes he had it corrected, as if by magic! I recently contacted DMV Locksmith to rekey a few door locks at my home in Ashburn. Not only did they offer lower prices than all the other locksmiths that I had contacted that day, but they also offered 24 hour service and were willing to come out that same day. If there was one word to describe Saen, it is professional. Despite having to come from another appointment and go through DC traffic during rush hour to get to my property, he was still willing to come out late at night to provide the rekeying service that I had asked for.
