Setting up Search Parameters: In the beginning your "advisor" will ask you a million questions on what is your dream guy/girl. Trust me when I say you can select down to the nitty-gritty (i.e. preferred eye color, preferred job, etc.)..... REALITY: they give you whatever match is on the top of the pile... NOT who you're actually looking for. 2. Membership Timeframe: Your advisor will also ask how long you'd like to be a member: 3 months, 6 months, one year, infinitely, etc. REALITY: You're on a continual billing cycle until you send a letter IN WRITING cancelling the membership. 3. Membership Profile: After you've spent HOURS telling your advisor what your personality is and what kind of person you are, you get a sheet to fill out. REALITY: Turns out that sheet IS your membership profile and NOTHING you say to the advisor makes it into your profile. OH, and here's the real kicker, they will CHANGE your information to make you appear more appealing. I'm 5'11 and PROUD of it... discovered they changed my profile to read 5'7. WHAT?! Makes me look like a liar when I meet someone and I'm CLEARLY not 5'7... 4. Hours of Operation: Say they're here for us to make sure we have a GREAT experience meeting meeting. REALITY: They MUST match you by 5:00p on Friday or else you're outta luck b/c their computer system shuts down at 5:15p and NO ONE is around to help you. What kind of a dating service works 9-5 M-F?
