Call them to have a work van towed to a body shop at 9:00 in the morning they didn't show up until after the auto body shop was closed and then proceeded to store the vehicle for 10 days and charge us for 10 days of storage without calling anyone to notify them that they were unable to deliver vehicle. I called Acura Roadside Assistance for towing my car at 5:15 at night on a weekday with a dead battery and they assigned JS Towing to pick it up. After waiting two hours JS Towing never showed up or answered my calls. Their voicemail box was full and never answered texts like the voicemail instructed me to do. I was assigned another towing company by Acura Roadside Assistance and the other towing company showed up in twenty minutes. My car stopped and I called my horrible insurance company and they supposedly sent this trash company to come and tow my car. They called and said they were 40 minutes away. I waited 5 HOURS! 5 lost hours waiting for this scam of a company to just shift my car from blocking the street and into the driveway just for the insurance company to tell me that it was cancelled. Really? What a waste of my time. Very inconsiderate and I tried calling the number they initially used to call me to alert me that they were on their way, and they purposely ignored my calls. Funny enough, I was smart and blocked my number just to see if they were dodging me and well... they were! They answered my blocked call. No explanation as to why they never showed up. If I could give NO stars I would. This company left me hanging for over 3 hours. I called for service at 5:45 pm and was told they would be there by 9:07 Pm. When they didn't show up and I tried tracking them in the link they sent, they were no longer able to be tracked. I called my roadside assistance and they told me J's dropped me from their calls and NEVER notified me. I had even spoken to a gentleman who said they were enroute and would be there. Terrible service. This was my auto insurance tow truck of choice for roadside assistance. At first they stated they would arrive to my destination in 20 minutes. 20 minutes Passed I called the person who originally called me and they never picked up. Long story short I waited 1hr and 45 min untill I finally heard back from them only to tell me it would be 45 more minutes. 45 minutes have long passed and Im still waiting! HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!!!!! Its fine if its gonna be a while to get here but communicate with the customer!!!!!! I ended up driving my car with a messed up tire to the nearest tire shop myself smh. The battery in my brand-new Nissan Leaf died and I needed to have it towed to the closest Nissan dealership. I was parked in a parking garage with low clearance. Tony came to my rescue and calmly and creatively helped me and my husband get the car out of the parking garage and onto a tow truck and towed it to the dealership before they closed for the day. Not impressed. Wife's car was having issues and was stranded at Safeway. Called USAA and they contracted J's to help her out. I was driving all the way from Modesto 1hr and 20 minutes and the tow truck still wasn't there. Kept trying to call the business to see what the hold up was and kept getting sent to voicemail. Finally called USAA again and when they contacted J's we were told it would be another 45 minutes of waiting past the already estimated time. read more

At 5:30 we were scheduled for towing with an ETA of 7:30. I was already pretty disappointed there was a 2 hour wait (+the fact that my husband's car won't start), 7:40 rolls around, I call, get put on hold for 15 minutes and apparently they cancelled the pickup without giving anyone notification. Fucking waste of 2 hours. I ask for pickup the next day AND request a discount. No can do. Great customer service, NOT! Can't stand unreliable people or BUSINESSES!!! read more

I reached J's Towing via USAA Roadside Assistance. I thought that my new-to-me '94 Chevy Truck had just broken down - the service engine light had been coming on. After going back and forth with USAA, the previous owner, and J's Towing, we suspected it might have merely run out of gas (the gauge is not accurate and I'm used to a hybrid car that can go almost 100 miles when "empty"). J's Towing's guy re-routed himself and stopped and picked up 2 gallons of gas, pumped it in, hardly jumped when my dog stuck his head out the window to bark at him, and was generally friendly, polite, and sympathetic. He cheered along with me when the truck started up again! I had just been passing through Benicia on my way home to San Jose, but if you're in the area I wouldn't hesitate to use them! read more

I am not sure whether I am reviewing the same company as the other bad reviews here; this "J" is based in American Canyon, not Benicia so perhaps not? Anyway this guy is Jessie, the owner, and he came to pick up my car which I was donating through Goodwill. He arrived exactly when he said he would (7:30 pm!) and was totally goodnatured when I told him he would have to bring his large flatbed up a steep and winding road. In order to do so, he had to offload the other car he had picked up earlier at the bottom of the hill and then re-load it after he loaded ours. When I couldn't get my car into neutral to move it out of the garage, he found the battery (not easy on a VW), and charged it with his battery pack enough to get it into neutral, then helped to push it out and situate it so that he could "Tetris" his truck so that he could hook it up. He was so concerned about messing up the gravel of our driveway--kept trying to brush it back into place! So friendly and gracious, and a definite pro at his job. I took his card in case I ever have to tow another car. Very impressed and highly recommend this "J's Towing." read more
