Being retired law-enforcement, I spent decades stuffing fast food down my throat, over the hood of my car, between radio calls. I had my first (three) colonics last week. I have had so many digestive issues the past year. Mostly related to sluggish digestion. It all culminated into an extreme bout of constipation that made me so unwell. By the time I went to get my first colonic I was in so much discomfort I was barely functional in my life. I had been wanting to get a colonic for about 20 years ever since I listened to a tape about them. Really not sure why it's taken me so long but circumstances aligned where the time was now. A female friend of mine and I decided to not only go in together, but to sit in on each other's treatments. That might sound a little odd to some, but I highly recommend you let go of whatever insecurities or self-consciousness you might have in doing so and get yourself a butt buddy, as it were It provides support, motivation, validation, all of the above and more... and even makes it a little fun. After three straight 1 hour session days with Natalie, all I can say is... Why did I wait so long! It is truly one of the best things I could have done for my body and without question now in my Top 10 of mind-blowing moments. I should also mention that I've been on keto for 15 months and lost 65 lbs (274 to 209), so was going in lighter, leaner, and already in decent health. We both decided to go on a mini all liquid semi-fast diet the day before and all three days of the treatment so that we could help (not hinder) the cleansing. And while it most certainly did help, probably my biggest surprise in all of this was how much still came out of me (my colon). It almost defies physics to think how much we all have up there carrying around. At the end of it all I lost over 6 lbs just in the 3 days of treatment alone...so now down to 203. And the even cooler thing is feeling my stomach tighten as the procedure was happening. As for the actual treatment, it is at worst uncomfortable and at best absolutely fascinating to have a front row seat, literally, to watch what Natalie is able to evacuate from your colon through a very safe, sanitary process and high-end piece of equipment. I say "uncomfortable" and I want to emphasize not painful. I suppose every comfort level will vary, but I asked Natalie to push mine to safe limits so that she could go as deep as possible with water flow, which by its nature is slow and gentle. So if there is one bit of advice I would give you, it's to try not to tap out too soon. She is very good at what she does and would never allow anything to harm you so push yourself a little.
