I think to ensure everything is in order before you leave. Thankfully the weather cooperated that day. When our group arrived, the young gentleman Tyler checked us in. He informed us on site that while we were able to pre pay for the boat rental, we have to pay insurance and gas after we come back from the boat. He walked us through some general tips of the boat and said to call the office if we have any issues. He said he would help us dock when we got back. You must wear the life vest when near the dock area. We had fun, I think it was a 12 passenger boat. Luckily one of our group members was able to take the brief course to be able to drive the boat. He had no experience previously, but did a great job! We had a pretty good time, we added the lily pad and the tubing to our rental as well, which we used and recommend. The boat itself was new which was nice. It had space under the seats for our items. We were able to bring coolers and our own food on board. Overall it was a fun experience. Everyone on the boat just needs to sign waivers and the persons driving the boat need to watch a couple of boat safety and instructional videos. Lake Conroe is quite a drive from Houston, but getting here and finding the spot was easy. It's just a dirt lot with a shack of an office and a porta potty. Nothing fancy but nothing wrong with that. We showed up 30 minutes before our reservation as requested. Tyler was in charge of our party and he was super friendly and very helpful with getting on board and out on time. Everyone is required to wear a life vest until you hit open water. We rented the 12 passenger pontoon boat which was in very good condition. Our package also included a large lily pad and tube. There's lots of storage under seats which I highly recommend using. We may have overpacked which meant less room to walk around freely. My friend and I shared captaining duties. Driving was a little intimidating at first, but once we got a feel for the power of the motor it was smooth sailing. The map provided to us came in really handy as Lake Conroe is pretty big, bigger than I expected. We made our way to The Island which was a hangout spot for alot of boats and jet skis. We anchored, put out our lily pad and tube and enjoyed the water. The boat does have Bluetooth speakers, but it will run the battery. I would suggest bringing a portable speaker. Time flies when you're having fun, but we made sure we had enough time to drive back while taking turns using the tube. It made for a fun ride back! Overall, a time was had. Never once did I ever think to myself about owning a property on a lake with a boat until now. Thanks to Perfection Water Sports for giving me new goals in life lol. I would totally rent from here again and soon I hope!

We drove the JetSki's to our lake house and one of them started smoking. We immediately contacted Cliff and he said that he would get it towed. We continued our evening with the one JetSki that worked and made the best of it. When we returned the last JetSki Cliff aggressively came at us for the damages that we did not do. He said that something was stuck in the repulsion system. We did not do anything to cause this issue and also the JetSki seemed very old and he lied and said that it was brand new. He then pressed us to pay for the JetSki saying that it would cost $400 to tow it and another $400 for the rope which I've never heard of a rope costing that much. It felt like a scam since he came up with these charges out of thin air. like he gave us a faulty JetSki on purpose and maybe he does this to collect money from people. He got in my grandpa's face and was very disrespectful and raised his voice and got aggressive. When we got home that night we saw that they charged our card for $900. In the center of the pier, there is an observation hole, where you can feed the fish and have them come to the surface. There is a little coin operated fish food dispenser, which provides for entertainment for kids and husbands alike! We did find that the fish didn't want to have anything to do with that creepy observation hole, but were abundant on the outsides of the pier itself, and gobbled up their snacks. The marina was well maintained, and had very little refuse around, and no graffiti or any of that type of stuff. Very relaxing. I did notice that there wasn't a whole lot of seating. There was only a bench or two, which happened to be occupied the entire time we were there, so there was no place for our elders to get off their feet. There were a few shops along the marina, but none of them were open. There was really no place for light treats and snacks. I noted one or two expensive sit-down restaurants. I believe this Marina is still developing, as they are building and selling new condos in the area. So hopefully, they get more eateries and things to do along their beautiful pier. I didn't know that Lake Conroe was so huge! It seems to go on forever and feels like you are looking out into the endless ocean, and not just a lake. There are boat and slip rentals available in the marina. I think if I lived here, I would probably visit often.

I stopped by Rod's Fiberglass to get an estimate on painting my boat. He asked if it needed…read morepainting or if the gelcoat was in good enough shape to sand, polish and recondition. I told him the boat / fiberglass shop I just picked up the boat from sanded and polished a couple of places and said the gelcoat was too bad of shape and needed to be repainted. So we got together on about what to expect in painting it. So Rod picked the boat up at my storage and took it to his shop so he could give an accurate estimate for the work needed and materials. A few days later he told me to come to the shop and we would go over the estimate. He had polished 3 places on the boat and said the gelcoat was good. The polished places looked good. So we decided to recondition the gelcoat. He removed all the interior, gauges, engine and disconnected all the hydraulics. Later reinstalled it all. After all the cleaning and polishing he sprayed clearcoat on it. It looked perfect. Looked like it did when new. Rod's bid was spot on. His bid for repainting if we had to was a few thousand dollars less than two other quality shops. Plus saving the gelcoat kept the boat's value up. Rod touched base with me weekly and sent pictures to keep me aware of the progress. It could not of gone any better. In the future if I need fiberglass or paint work I will definitely go to Rod.

Never wondered where we were in the process of getting these absolutely beat up Jetskis done. Through a bad buy on my behalf Rod's meticulous work brought these skis back to life and can safely put someone on them again. The workmanship is amazing from replacing the worn out foot pads to the new blue non slip was his idea and turned out amazing. Highly highly recommend Rod's not only for his good work but also from how good of a person he is.
