We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. It's a builders grade glass door, so the lower quality of the door made it more difficult to repair. All of the other companies we obtained bids from said it couldn't be repaired and quoted 2500 to 3000 for a replacement. Peter came over on a Sunday morning and repaired it expertly. Our front window had a broken sash and required a complete replacement. The replacement cost Peter quoted was a reasonable price and he took out the old damaged window and replaced it with a new one, spending time caulking and finishing the job. 5Year Update - DO NOT BUY. WARNING…read more If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. It started with poor customer service and peeling stain/paint on the door right from the beginning. I was promised a replacement door slab, and they told me a new one had been ordered. When it finally arrived, I was told I had to arrange my own transportation and pick it up from their warehouse. After I went through the trouble of doing that, they asked me to sign for the door before inspecting it. Thankfully, I refused and checked it first because they had sent the wrong color. I was told they would order another replacement and call me when it was ready for pickup. I'm still waiting for that call. After nearly a year of calling them with no answers, no callbacks, and no resolution, I gave up. As time went on, the finish on the door frame started peeling, so I decided to sand it down, re-stain it, and apply polyurethane to protect it from the weather. Do you know what I found on a 5 year-old door? Rot. The entire door frame was rotting from the inside. This was a $5,000 exterior door, and the rot was hidden underneath the weather seal on the inside of the frame, so it wasn't visible until I started refinishing it. Five thousand dollars down the drain. An exterior door should last far longer than four years. Between the terrible customer service, the broken promises, and now discovering a rotten door frame, I can honestly say this has been one of the worst purchases I've ever made. Buy at your own risk. So it seams to be a standard answer for company to say they don't see you as a customer in their database. That means you need a better CMR. Buyer beware. Response to the response below: The hardware is being shipped only AFTER I submitted a complaint to the BBB, which I was forced to do after 3 months of ignored emails and excuses. In any case, the hardware is only 5% of the issue at the end of well over a year of ignored emails, phone calls, stonewalling, and just downright inexcusably poor customer service. Your CEO reached out to me to attempt to get me to remove my accurate reviews of his business. He should have been reaching out to me 18 months ago to proactively apologize for the incredibly poor customer service, missed install dates, wrong orders, etc. I'll post pictures of long strings of unanswered emails and blown commitments. I spent $18,000 for your most expensive doors and hardware. This is not how you treat a customer.
