Spaghetti loaded w seafood!!!
Ellen M.

I was visiting Rome on my first solo trip. I passed by this restaurant on the way to the Spanish steps and just around the corner from my little boutique hotel. The food I saw on the tables looked amazing. I rushed back bc I know the steps will always be there. I just told them what I was in the mood for and the waiter replied "yes yes. We make however you like!" The service was wonderful but the food was fantastic; spaghetti loaded with seafood!!!

Killing time before tours we ended up in this part of Rome and decided to stop in here for a quick break. When we originally told them we didn't want a full lunch, but instead a small snack, they seemed bummed, and almost didn't want us taking up a coveted outside table, but quickly changed their mind and sat us. I'm sure they were happy when we ordered more than just a coffee as they were probably imagining. The service here was pretty good (again, once their "mood" changed), and they even brought over the wifi password for me when they saw me using my phone, so an extra star for that. I did go inside to use the restroom and was almost upset we didn't get to sit in there. Small and cozy, but quite beautiful and the bathroom was very nice as well. Since this was "vacation" alcohol was necessary with every meal, so I happily sipped on some prosecco before deciding on proscuitto and melon as my afternoon snack. My step father surprised as all with a bit appetite and ordered ravioli, which he said was the best of the whole trip. My mother went with the more appropriate coffee and tart - afternoon carb fest, and she loved it. For an afternoon pick-me-up this was a great spot for people watching on the busy streets, and I think would be a great spot for dinner as well (given the beautiful interior).

Pizza Capricciosa

In my preparation for my trip to Italy, there were two dishes my friends told me to look out for and try while there; Cacio e Pepe & Pizza Capricciosa. So after exploring the Spanish Steps I was lured in by a cute Italian waitress telling me about all the foods they have. "We have pasta, we have pizza, fresh fish..seafoods..meats!" It sounded great but what brought me in was that they had the two dishes I needed to try. Seeing how it was the first time I had Pizza Capricciosa and Cacio e Pepe, I enjoyed both dishes. Based on this meal, I actively searched out both of these during the rest of my trip in Italy.(Although Cacio e Pepe is a Roma cuisine) Overall it's a great little place on the Piazza di Spagna.

The risotto. Looks soggy.

This was probably the worst restaurants we've been to whole we're in Italy. It wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't great either. We had roast potato, risotto and lasagne and they were all bad. Such a tourist trap. The roast potato were soggy and salty, the risotto was overcooked and salty and the lasagne tasted like water. We actually came here after reading the reviews and I think I can honestly assume the people who worked there wrote them, except for Dennis, who pretty much summed it all well. There are way better restaurants around the area than this.

Amazing food. Had the white truffle fettuccine and I practically licked the plate clean. Also had their grilled fish which was just as good. Dessert was a must and the wine deserved a second glass. Will be back to this place for sure. They also ask if you want bread and don't force it (and the cost) onto you.

Lemon and shrimp pasta

We ordered a Margherita pizza to start which was delicious and perfect for the 3 of us to split. We each got a pasta dish. I'd say they were okay but didn't compare to the other pasta dishes we've had in Italy. Best one would be the fungi pasta. Also, when I went to the bathroom I saw a waiter come out and do a rinse with water only (no soap). Gross!

Not a a lot of choices on the menu. Food was ok but there are so many other great restaurants to choose from.

We loved this spot. We actually returned like 4 times during our stay as it was located close to…read moreour hotel, on our way to the main city area and we loved that they had breakfast and lunch sandwiches early in the day. Only real I don't give 5 stars, well I'll explain later. 1st day we walked up super early and it was bustling with business and workers. We were greeted to sit outside and a waiter came to help us with coffee and food. The service was outstanding and the food was superb! We loved it so much we knew to come 2nd day, grab coffee and breakfast and sandwiches for later as we toured Rome. #greatidea We come again, 3rd day early and everything was perfect--breakfast, coffee, to go sandwiches and the service. We came day 4 a bit later in the day after a big tour event and it was very different. Server didn't want us sitting inside. Server was rude about my younger family member basically falling asleep on the table from the heat and miles of touring. Mind you, she is a little girl and very exhausted from the beauty of Rome touring all day--actually all week in this crazy heat. Anyway, we order drinks, food and that's it. Server seemed to hate us. I won't hold that against the amazing proper who helped us every day the week we were visiting. We really did like this place. Just not that guy I guess. Love the food, the quality and 99% of the service.
