I had just arrived in town and my mom wanted to take me out for dinner so she took me here. We were seated right away even though it was pretty busy. The booths are nice and tall, so it does tend to drown out some of the noise as it can get very loud in the restaurant. They have a pretty extensive menu. I chose the steak salad. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly. I asked for medium rare and that is exactly what I got. The salad was good although I will say it was overdressed so in the future, I would ask for the dressing on the side. My mom ordered a steak and her two sides were the brussels sprouts and the mac & cheese. Brussels sprouts are really tasty and the mac & cheese was good although I felt like it could've used a little bit more salt. But that may have just been my pallet. Overall, really enjoyed the food and will definitely come back and try it again. Rarely do I write a negative review but, unfortunately, sometimes it's so bad you need to warn people. This is one of those really negative occassions. The restaurant decor is well thought out and has a great western vibe. Cowboy boots and cowboy hats affixed to the ceiling. Tombstone playing on the big screen. Lots of vintage western movie posters on display. Unfortunately decor isn't all that counts in a high end "steakhouse". There are only a few steaks actually on offer on the menu. So, ok, we can deal with only select cuts. The problem comes in the fact that I ordered medium rare prime rib and got medium well. My daughter ordered sirloin medium and got medium rare. The other couple we were dining with ordered a medium rare ribeye and received well done. When they sent it back they received a rare ribeye that was cold in the center. Maybe you could overlook THREE incorrectly cooked steaks IF they weren't each over $35. But when I say high end I mean PRICEY! Maybe you'd give more grace if the service was exceptional. However our experience included a server who took our drink order and disappeared for over 30 MINUTES! Thankfully we were talking and watching Tombstone (and enjoying the a/c) so we only noticed it had been 30 MINUTES because my alarm went off to restart the vehicle. I did not take pictures of the entrees and I absolutely should have but after the incredibly long wait for drinks, then a long wait to take our order, and another long wait for food I just was too distracted and irritated. We loved the atmosphere, love the movie didn't like much else. Maybe just go for drinks, appetizers or dessert. But don't expect a great meal. Texas Roadhouse would honestly serve you better in value. read more

I have to admit the decor in this place certainly captures the wannabe western vibe. With only 2 or 3 other locations in the country, it's a chain without being a traditional chain (at least now). It all starts with the buffalo statues along the street and surrounding the building and moving to the humorous signs inside and out and then to the cowboy boots on the ceiling. The menu has a little of everything and portions are generous. It's not particularly inexpensive, though. The drinks are prepared by bartenders who can explain the ingredients and what makes the house drinks different -- at least with respect to the names. It's still in the opening phase, so Doc Hollidays is a place where you can expect a wait to get seated. It's crazy busy. Doc Hollidays is a quirky, okay spot, a different kind of place, in this part of town. read more

Stopped here heading home from a business trip. Look very different with bison lining the exterior. Inside very unique experience. First, I ordered a few drinks. One in particular is very tasty the peanut butter whiskey, espresso Delicious with my meal, which is the grilled pork chops and as a side two sides actually I had brussels sprouts and Parmesan broccoli. The pork chops came with barbecue sauce (I think it was). The potatoes are pretty tasty with the barbecue sauce a little bit salty from my taste. That was brussels sprouts which came with balsamic sauce on it. Now that was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the brussels sprouts because they were tender. Next was the Parmesan broccoli which was tasty a little bit undercooked for myself and also not warm so therefore the Parmesan cheese did not really melt over it, just sat there. Overall, I give the experience a four with one and a half stars accounted for by the drinks they made my day. read more

So this place was more than a pleasant surprise. I was expecting Applebee level food, and this definitely was at least one large step above that. I wanna start off with the service. I don't think I've had better service than this place in the state of Montana. I had the honey garlic pork chops with garlic mash and a Caesar salad. The honey garlic pork chops were moist and flavorful and gigantic. The mashed potatoes were the perfect pairing. My dining partner had the grilled steak salad and the steak was well cooked and flavorful, and the veggies were fresh and plentiful. Next time we would actually probably split the pork chops because they were that big which is a compliment in and of itself because my girl's not a big pork fan. Wheelchair accessibility: there is wheelchair accessible parking available. It is one of those weird like double ramp situations and so manual chairs might struggle a little bit. The front doors are very heavy and there's two of them; when you go through the second door heading inside/ Make sure you go in the left door because there's a bench blocking part of the way of travel for the door on the right. There's plenty of seating options; the path of travel is a little tight but not bad. The cups are very heavy, but our waitress went and found an alternative cup that made it much easier. The bathroom doors are heavy, the accessible stall was very spacious and the sink was within reach, but the soap was a little bit high as per usual for restaurants. All in all would not hesitate to go back. read more

We've tried twice now and both times were a swing and a miss. Service is so great. The bartenders and servers are knowledgeable and so kind, the drinks are good and feel fairly priced. The food is a huge area of opportunity. The first time we went I had a giant hair draped through my burger. They were super attentive to fix it and I could tell my burger was made fresh in the back (still a bit raw) but it was fine. Second time we ordered just apps and sat at the bar and drinks were great. The giant pretzel is not a pretzel at all.. just over proofed and over cooked dough with some canned queso and the shrimp app was decent. Very expensive for some pretty sub par food. The brussel sprouts were really mushy, my mashed potatoes were cold and the Cajun walleye was weirdly overcooked and slimy at the same time without any flavor. Icouldnot eat it. A disabled person MUST have someone open the front doors in order to enter this restaurant. Accessibility does NOT just apply to eliminating curbs. The prime rib french dip was impossible to eat THIS time. Please put the entire roll AROUND this sandwich. It's ridiculous to serve it like it's an Open Face sandwich. Each half was piled high with crispy french fried onions which naturally fell off into the a jus the minute it was "dipped." Do not try to tell me you can put the two sides of this dip together. Only if your mouth is as big or opens as wide as that mouth of the grizzley mounted there above you would it work. Otherwise, forget it. It was such a terrible nuisance that I cancelled the order of an extra one to go. The waitress was pleasant - the service was good. From the moment you walk in, the decor sets the tone--bold, welcoming, and perfectly on theme. The space feels energetic and fun. We enjoyed walking around looking at all of the cowboy boots, animal mounts, and memorabilia. The food was amazing and the portions are generous. Everything we ordered was well prepared and full of flavor. I highly recommend the Doc's Sweet Bourbon BBQ Ribs and the Bailey's Bread Pudding dessert! First of all, I just want to start this review by saying that we anticipated a wait as well as understand it was a new restaurant and they are still working out the kinks but this was a bit much. My husband and I decided we would try the new Doc Holliday's Roadhouse for our Saturday night date night, and my birthday. February 29 at about 6pm. We were informed it was about an hour to hour and a half wait, so we put our name in and waited in the car (since the waiting area was extremely full). To our surprise the wait was only about 45 minutes. We were seated and off to a good start. The waitress was SUPER nice and said she would be right with us, as she walked by. After about 15 minutes, another lady stopped by to get our drink order. Mine was easy but my husband wanted to know what was on tap. This seemed to be when things started to go down hill. She didn't know them and was trying to remember. She took our order and off she went. Our waitress came by with our drinks about 10 minutes later, and we put in an order for an appetizer. We also placed dinner order since we were picking up that it would be awhile. The waitress apologized for the long waits, and explained that just before we got seated, they had just finished with 3 large group tables that had been seated at the same time so the kitchen was just catching up. About 40 minutes later, our onion rings showed up. They were cold to the touch, and when pulling them off the tower the uncooked batter was sticking to the metal of the tower. So needless to say, we did not eat them. Our waitress stopped by and asked how things were going - we returned them, and she was apologetic and very nice, and offered to remake them but again stated that it might be after we got our actual meals. We decided on not to have them remade, so she took them off our bill. We did however, order another round of drinks knowing it might be a bit for our meals. To our surprise another 30 minutes went by and we received our dinner with our second round of drinks. It was just ok, not a whole lot of flavor (Chicken Fried Steak, Cajun Chicken pasta). The chicken fried steak was bland and the breading fell right off the meat, and was a bit soggy. The Cajun chicken pasta was delish but it was definitely not worth the hour plus wait. We did not see our waitress until we were done, and she offered dessert but did warn us that it might be awhile again. So we opted not to have it, even though that was the plan since we were celebrating my birthday (again not expecting them to GIVE us dessert but we had planned on ordering it for the celebration). We ended up leaving the restaurant about 9pm and $150 later and definitely NOT satisfied but instead feeling it was a waste of time and money. read more

7pm on Friday. Probably 20 people waiting to be seated, looked like all parties of two. Met friends at the bar, several tables were open and seats available at the bar. Waited probably 10 min to order a drink. Bartender thought street fight was an ipa, said bent nail is a nice unique beer. Pretzel was huge and good. Club was terrible, mostly onion and bread, could not eat it. Both orders came with fries even though we didnt order fries. Guy dropping off the food didnt give a shit and said they were out. Told waitress, she said what do you want? What we ordered, came back 15min later, we are out of tots, onion rings, Brussel sprouts pretty much everything but fries so suck it and walked off. No waters, no beer refills. Really wasn't impressed other than than the decor. Oh did I mention its pretty dang expensive. Save your money for a real steakhouse or wait a few months hoping this place figures it out. read more
