Delicious food and great location. Highly recommend the brisket quesadilla! And the fish taco in the hard/soft shell combo.

Somewhat bland and uninspired. All of the food seemed highly salted but generally lacking any other seasoning. The fish taco might as well have been made with a fish stick from the freezer aisle. The two different vegetarian tacos were fine, but somewhat bland. The Dino bowl seemed like it might be some sort of salad bowl, but the lettuce was overwhelmed and wilted while the other ingredients lacked much brightness. The various salsas were fine, but more salty than flavorful. The side of black beans might have actually been the ironic star of the show. In terms of of the overall experience, we ordered takeout and were very happy with the overall process. The online ordering page was straightforward and made it easy to customize each dish. The order was ready exactly when it was supposed to be, and the staff were all very pleasant. If you're hungry after a night out, this might be a reasonable destination for tacos and Mexican-adjacent cuisine. Probably not the kind of place that you really want to seek out.

Cute eclectic restaurant with awesome decor. Got taco box special for 12.00. Two tacos with chips and choice of salsa, guacamole or queso. Got carnitas and shrimp. Both tacos FULL...liked carnitas better than shrimp. Lots of chips but tasted a bit stale. Lots of hot sauces to try...recommend!

Doce is absolutely one of my favorite taco spots. Every single taco is incredible. My favorite is the potato and the fish. The pollo one is a close third though. The potato one is a MUST try. Their queso is unmatched and so flavorful. They are always on time with my order and always so friendly, no matter the location. The box deal is what dreams are made of!!! Thanks for being the best!

Gross. Look at all that grease from the Carne Molida Taco

No thanks...these tacos were NOT it. Not sure how this place has such high ratings but every so often, Yelp fails me. This place is one of them. These tacos may be considered a solid choice if you've been living on the East Coast but come to the West, baby. We make them better here. My group and I wanted tacos so we searched up places close by to our location. Menu looked promising so off we went. Between the four of us, we ordered the following tacos: -carnitas -pollo -carne molida -fish -steak One star for the fish taco only. Everything else was below average. Even worse, the carne molida was GREASY AF!!!!!! (see photo attached). Plus, the meat looked/tasted like taco bell meat. Unappetizing and cheap. How the hell was it so greasy??? Yuck. Also, wasn't sure if there was option to choose between corn or flour tortilla. If there was, the cashier never told us. FLOUR tacos suck. Customer service wasn't the greatest. The female cashier looked like she didn't want to be there; hence why she probably didn't bother letting us know about the tortilla option. They don't serve water here. Not even tap. You have to BUY A BOTTLE OF WATER. Coming from the west coast, that's not a common scenario, even if it's a quick service casual restaurant like this one.

Doce is a great spot! Your able to get in and out quick and have a quality meal. They have a nice selection of different tacos and offer a $12 box that includes 2 tacos, chips and salsa/guacamole/Queso. Everyone is super friendly and the place has a fantastic vibe. I've never had a bad meal there and always leave full.

A tasty spot in the South Side for some good tacos! There are no bad choices here, although I didn't necessarily taste any standouts either. The fish taco has a good crispy fish with spicy slaw on top. The potato taco is a great option for vegetarians, although the potatoes aren't quite as crispy as I had hoped. The chicken taco was fine, but it didn't do anything that I couldn't have done at home. The ground beef tacos similarly are tasty but maybe not worth the $4.75 price point. The churro is a nice way to end the evening! I love the Nutella dipping sauce. There are many sodas available as well. The interior is very cool--although there is limited seating-- and the staff are very kind and fun too. If you need a quick taco fix, this is certainly not a bad option at all!

Really cute taco shop on the South Side with a nice selection of tacos to fit any taste. We tried the Americanos, the fish taco, and the carne molida. All were very different from one another but tasty in their own way. The taco competition in this town is fierce and while I wouldn't say these are the best in the city, they're up there. But I'm not a huge taco snob. What I am is a queso snob and let me tell you, the queso here is great. The chips were a little too salty for my tastes though - not sure if they're always like that or just this batch but it did get in the way of my queso enjoyment so that's why I'm taking off a star.

I'm spending a couple weeks at my friend's house on the South Side. I stopped by Doce Taqueria for tacos last night and I'm really happy that I did. They were so good that I returned again this afternoon. The staff is friendly and efficient.

This was actually the second time that this truck had visited and I was excited because I knew their empanadas were good. Since it's a food truck, there's not too much to say about it other than it's pretty nondescript as a food truck and that there were two people working inside on this day. For our dinner on this day I ordered the chicken Diablo fries while my wife ordered the steak fries. Then we also ordered one each of their three empanadas: chicken, shrimp and beef. On my previous visit I had also tried the chonpon and like it, especially with the chimichurri. On this day there wasn't a big crowd and so our food came out in a more than reasonable time period. The empanadas were as good as I remembered here as the dough is crazy light and airy but with a nice texture to it. Out of the three empanadas, the shrimp was my favorite but I have to admit that all 3 were good. After those I moved onto my chicken Diablo fries and can confirm that they were spicy. What initially looked like tomatoes was actually a well spiced pepper that not only had a bit of heat but a great flavor as well. Then the chicken was cooked nicely and who doesn't love fries and cheese? My only complaint was that the fries weren't as crispy as I would have liked. Meanwhile my daughter ate all of the steak off of the fries she was sharing with my wife and enough of the fries and cheese that we bought another. So clearly it was a winner for both her and my wife. That extra fries actually had much crispier fries on it and I wonder if it just took a while for their fryer to heat up. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both times that we have been here my wife and I have enjoyed the food and especially thought that the empanadas were a home run.

I enjoyed grabbing some quick empanadas when I saw the Baires food truck in my neighborhood. I'll…read morehave to catch them again to try out other menu items.

The texture and flavor paired together great with my chorizo taco. Now to the negatives!!! carnitas and the taco shells Firstly, the carnitas should have never been sold, I would have been absolutely okay if they suggested to order something else. The meat was so dry, like almost jerky dry. Not only were they extremely dry and cold, the portion was extremely small. The taco shells was also a let down. They looked and tasted as if they were (probably are) generic store brand shells. 5+ bucks for a taco, the shell needs to be better. yellow rice Dry and tasteless! Nuff said Hopefully they fix these issues cause there's a lot of potential!

First, they don't offer coffee, which is surprising for a restaurant representing a culture where coffee is such a staple. That was already disappointing, but the service made things worse. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Between the lack of basic menu items and the unprofessional service, this visit was a huge letdown.
