Excellent tacos, particularly the carne asada and chorizo. The red salsa had a nice kick.

I stopped by Los Gallitos when it was parked at Stick City Brewery. The food truck offer authentic style tacos, tortas, and tamales. I ordered a 3 taco basket with asada, carnitas, and a pork. The meats were all very good and they offered some the typical authentic self-serve toppings like salsas, onions, limes, etc. I'd stop by next time they are in the area.

The portion size is very generous and easily large enough to share with another person. The service has been fast and friendly every time I've visited. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with bright colors and artwork that reflect the restaurant's cultural heritage. Even the television programming helps create an authentic atmosphere and gives visitors a glimpse into Oaxacan culture. I love that they offer such unique and authentic Oaxacan cuisine right here in Carrick. The tortilla is homemade and perfectly crispy, topped with high quality steak and delicious Oaxacan cheese. My favorite parts are the green salsa, avocado, and grilled green onions. I absolutely love them. If I could change one thing, I would ask for a little more avocado and grilled green onion. I also think some grilled corn, onions, and peppers would complement the dish nicely. The radishes were not my favorite addition because they did not seem to blend with the other flavors as well. The lettuce and beans added a nice touch, and overall the dish was flavorful, satisfying, and memorable. It is wonderful to have such authentic cuisine within walking distance of home. I am already looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu. The chicken enchiladas with either mole sauce or green salsa also caught my eye.

They make their chips in-House and I absolutely love them. The queso is a varying level of spice based on the day that you order - that's not something I really care about. Nine times out of 10 it's good. I like their enchiladas, their burritos, their tacos, their quesadillas. The only time I ever got something that I didn't like was only because it was too spicy. I will say, they are not consistent with the level of spice. The Horchata's are amazing.

Since it's a food truck, there's not too much to say about it other than it's a nice yellow color that reminds you of cheese. For dinner on this day I decided to go with the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese while my wife went with the lobster Mac and cheese. There was maybe a 5 minute wait between ordering and our food being ready and afterwards we headed back to our house to eat. My buffalo Mac and cheese ended up being quite good as both the buffalo chicken and blue cheese added great flavor to the dish. However, as it should be, the Mac and cheese was the star. The pasta itself was cooked nicely and the cheese sauce had a great flavor to it. There was an ample amount of it too and which means that I was able to enjoy Each and every piece of pasta. My wife really enjoyed hers too and we were both pleased that the lobster wasn't exorbitantly priced. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our Mac and cheese and I would be interested in trying more of their flavors.

We just ordered takeout online. I got the Umami Gold poke bowl and it was fabulous! The yellowtail was so fresh. My fiancé got the California Avenue poke bowl and overall enjoyed it, although he thought that the rice was a tad too salty. We got the smaller size of the bowls and they were still huge - we couldn't finish all of the rice! We also split the California Avenue roll and loved it - the pieces were also pretty big. You really get a lot of bang for your buck here! Definitely want to try more of the menu.

Christie (@cmnst4 ), the owner, was genuinely so kind when we talked about coming in-warm, easy to chat with, and proud of what they've built. That energy carries through because the staff was extremely friendly and honestly couldn't wait to make up my order. I love that it's an open kitchen. You can see them pressing tortillas, building everything fresh, and actually talk to them while they're making your food. It feels interactive and intentional instead of rushed. We tried a handful of things, but I have to specifically mention the chicken tacos on a corn shell and the quesadilla because they were exactly what I wanted-flavorful, fresh, and done right. Not over-the-top, not trying too hard. Just solid food made by people who care. And that's the kind of spot I'll go back to.

The base was a small tortilla topped with a smaller fried tortilla, topped with the fish and mild jalapeño coleslaw. It was small but very tasty. If you follow my reviews, you know that I don't eat dessert. Because I had such a light lunch, I requested their special dessert, Tres Leche. This was a disappointment. It was a large square of white cake soaked in milk and covered with coconut and topped with a slice of maraschino soaked canned pineapple. It lacked the richness that I knew in Mexico. The pineapple was a distraction. There was only 2 other tables occupied while I was there. The server provided the perfect amount of attention and was very pleasant. Was surprised, however, with a surcharge for using a credit card.

The meat was so dry, like almost jerky dry. Not only were they extremely dry and cold, the portion was extremely small. The taco shells was also a let down. The best one had to be the al pastor because it wasn't dry and had lots of flavor. I opted for the red morita spicy sauce, and trust it actually has spice and kick to it. The tacos are double layered, which is nice. Decent meal for a Tuesday dinner, their menu is pretty basic for a taco place. For instance, their only dessert is churros with chocolate sauce.
