We had a quick bite to eat again last night at Dock 17. We had just left a PNO around the corner and decided to get some food before going home. My boy wanted to sit outside - so we sat by the fire. We got there around 10:00pm and the restaurant closes at 11:00pm. I did feel like we were intruding as most of the chairs had been put up on the tables. The waitress was still great though. We didn't feel rushed or unwelcome. I always get these wings! My boy said the ribs were a little too smoky for him. So if your kids like bbq- they should be okay. We came here for sat brunch at lunch time. It wasn't busy at all and we were sat right awAy. The server got us drinks but took a while to come back to get our order and then had to wait a little longer than tolerable for our food. Just as it was approaching the irritable state our food came out. Brunch pricing wasn't bad but the spinach salad was lacking for $10. The prime rib sandwich was good but definitely not worth $18. The prime rib sandwich at raffertys is so much better. I was happy with the kids meal though. Three kids got sliders with sweet pot fries and they loved the fries and ate one of the two that it came with. We will probably return bc of city forum but will not return just for their food. It looks like a fun place to hang out with friends in the evening drinking and playing darts while we let the kids loose at city forum. Been wanting to go here since they opened, heck...since before they opened but just hadn't gotten around to it. We were politely greeted at the door and got a seat very quickly. The restaurant is really open, which is cool...but if it gets crowded, it could be an issue because the tables are fairly close to each other, closer than I like. I really dig the look of the place though, with the brick walls and the dart board lanes. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer...and were happy that they came out quickly and were piping hot when they arrived. Not so happy that they were not fresh, but hey... it's not green tomato season right now is it? Will try something else next time. I ordered the Bayou Burger with salt-n-pepper seasoned fries and my wife ordered the Rocky Top Burger with the same fries. I could have opted for some seasoned fries, but I wanted to focus on that Fire & Smoke sauce for the fries. My burger was really tasty. It was a thicker burger, thicker than I like...but since it wasn't cooked to well done, it was very moist, and well seasoned. All flavors on this burger from the Cajun remoulade to the capicola ham to the bourbon jam were found in each bite, but nothing was overbearing, a great balance of flavors. The fries were really good too, would have preferred them to be double fried, but oh well. The Fire & Smoke sauce was really good...a bit more spicy than smoky, but I don't mind the spice! My wife said that her Rocky Top Burger was delicious, she really liked the way the cheese curds tasted with the rest of the burger especially the zing of the dill pickles. All in all it was a good visit, would definitely come back and I recommend this place if you are looking for a good burger WITH frills...'cause this is the spot. read more

We celebrated my husbands birthday with my family at Dock 17! The table all had either beer or a cocktail! They were all good. We skipped on an appetizer and ordered dinner right away! Recently relocated from Nashville to Clarksville, I was was quickly getting burned out on the chains, then voila, Yelp to the rescue! It's like Nashville came to Clarksville and quietly dropped this gem in Sango and apparently, given time, worked out most of the kinks. After a stagnant date-night life and not wanting anything we've had 10x before, I made the decision that dinner was on me and to try a new spot, and let me tell you, it was not a disappointment. Plans to return this weekend for brunch is a must. Wednesday night was a sparse crowd, the games were on, so we decided to sit at the bar. Scott, our bartender, was very well-informed on the wines and suggested a beautiful Bordeaux instead of my usual KJ. His suggestion was to take the bottle home, but we finished it with our meal. Not sorry. Fried green tomatoes as our app, we both opted for the ribeye with Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese for me and Brussels sprouts and potato salad for him. Who eats ribeyes and potato salad?! The fried green tomatoes were hard to stop eating, but I managed to save 2 to enjoy the next day. The ribeyes were cooked perfectly to temp; medium and medium rare, seasoned perfectly and the butter on top was delicious! The sides were amazing, hot and fresh, and I ended up retracing my statement about ordering questionable side dishes became even the potato salad was really good. Seriously. I was surprised how quickly our apps and food was delivered, and was low key expecting to get the nights' leftovers since we did walk in at 8:45, but that truly was not the case here. It fills the "treat yourself" need of Soldiers and local hard workers to enjoy a refined dining experience while simultaneously offering an environment friendly for customers with young children and even provides a kid's menu. I had the boot scootin burger which is neck-and-neck with Elaine's for the best burger in Clarksville. Although Elaine's freedom burger is larger making it a better quality, the boot scootin burger had a superior tasting bun and a better meat to bread ratio. The true gem of the menu is the Prime Rib & Provolone Dip! This is THE BEST French dip sandwich in the state! We arrived for brunch on a whim, were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait but were sat in closer to 15. The hostess and our server were awesome. Our service was quick. I was most impressed with the food. I ordered the loaded biscuit (I think it was called) with fried chicken, gravy, fried egg and bacon. It was the single best thing I've ever had in a Clarksville restaurant. The biscuit was amazing, the chicken was piping hot and so fresh. The light and crunchy breading on it was so good. It came with a side of fresh fruit. My husband had a mimosa and the prime rib dip. He enjoyed his food as well. I was pretty happy about this experience. This was a great place for a late lunch ! We had a party of 8 with 2 kids. Our whole bill was about 200$ for 8 and we had an incredible server named Justin! He was so good - we tipped him $80. Your should Definitely ask for him. We started with some wine and cocktails. Kids got some Shirley temples and we also ordered the wings app tossed in the orange Buffalo sauce ! It was so good that we ordered another order! Their ranch is good too. The kids got a burger and nuggets both with hand cut fries. I got the Smokey and the Brisket burger, but had it with a grilled chicken breast instead and added jalapeños and golly damn tootin it was good. It has queso on it and sliced Brisket ! My wife loved her salad and everyone seemed to enjoy their burgers. The vibe in this place is killer ! The attention to detail is impressive to me. I'm a fan. It's like Nashville came to clarksville. These are the vibes I got once inside. I love the lounging area they have while you wait cozy and you can get drinks and apps. Naturally, we sat and ordered a drink and then an app. We actually ended up getting drinks and apps as our meal. Very attentive service, food came out quick and was delicious, and drinks were great. I liked Dock 17 but I definitely had my qualms that makes it hard to be at the top of my list. Pros- *Drinks are good. Decently priced. I got the rum and roses. I will definitely warn anyone that the drink is not sweet. I thought it would be a "lightly sweet" drink rather than a "standard tart" drink. Still delicious though and would order again. *The wings were good. Would order again. Decently priced *Burger was good. My boyfriend ordered that so I don't have a ton of details. Still seemed kinda expensive though, but the whole customizable fries makes it better. *Mac and Cheese and Brussel Sprouts were good. Cons- *Brisket was not good. Wayyy too salty and not enough other seasonings or a sauce to balance it out or compliment it. *The bread that came with the brisket was not good. It was rock hard. It didn't give me hard crust, soft center vibes. If that was the vibe, then it's not the right shape to properly achieve it. Highlights- The Strawberry Shortcake was **delicious**. It was so good. A properly balanced compote. It was too heavy on the strawberries or too heavy on the sauce. Ice cream was good. For a biscuit styled shortcake, it was close to perfect. My biggest concern was only the top was bruleed and it wasn't a fresh biscuit to absorb the compote so some bites were just bland biscuit. If the biscuit was split and then bruleed both the too and the bottom, it would have been a perfect dessert. My service was good. We walked in without a reservation and were seated very quickly. Love the space. Eating and gaming areas are spaced surprisingly efficiently and conviniently. Love the vibe and decor. My waitress was nice and attentive and the rest of the staff seemed to be as well. It wasn't too loud or too quiet. Really feels like they put some thought into those intricacies. Went here on a Friday night (party of 4). Started off bad with being told it would be a 30 min wait to be seated that turned into an hour and 15 mins. I later found out that we weren't seated earlier because of the hostess wouldn't seat a 4 top to an open 6-8 top table just in case a large group came in (this was after watching her seat multiple 2-tops on 4- top tables). Took over an hour and a half to serve 30 people their food. Come on, man! We're talking basic burgers with precooked smoked meats and chicken tenders. Multiple uncoordinated wait staff members who had zero clue who ordered what or what table meals or drinks went to. Drink refills were a crap shoot if or when we would get them. If possible, I would rate ZERO stars and absolutely do not recommend anyone use this place for a function and likely would not recommend anyone frequent the location for a quality meal. read more

Terrible quality meal and service for premium price! As a couple coming to enjoy our brunch reservation at Dock 17, not only did we have to wait for our table, but we were also seated at the narrow high top tables with metal bar stools. It was incredibly disappointing as there were multiple booths and couples tables available. When we asked to be moved to a more comfortable table, we were told they were all reserved. They were able to bring us slightly more comfortable chairs, however. From there it took our waitress north of 10 minutes to acknowledge us and another 5 to bring water. And to speak on the beverages, steer clear of the cocktails. Between diluted alcohol and a glass that is 75% ice, you're paying $9 for a splash of alcohol and mixer into the tap water they already bring to your table. The crust of the biscuits is stale tasting and dense - fitting for what seems to be the theme of the very limited brunch menu. We ordered the Benedict Burger Sliders and the Eggs Over Hammy Melt. Those steak burgers on their menu could be good if they hadn't salted the meat like it was the cows' last dying wish to be as salty as their favorite salt lick. I truly believe the addition of their "BEERnaise" sauce to either of the dishes is to try and fool you into thinking the kitchen didn't cook your yolk all the way through. Aside from that, the "BEERnaise" that we receive was separating and was the consistency of snot. If your in the mood for tasteless food and an unaccommodating wait staff that pays you little to no attention, then by all means, drop $70 on biscuits, two plates, and three drinks. read more
