Been a while since I have been to Doc 17 but all was good. Happened to be a live music day, so the vibe in the restaurant was a bit lighter than expected. Made a reservation for 3 and they were on top of it. Got seated as soon as we walked in the door. Ordered some drinks which, if you order the sunner snowball, don't expect much. The wife say it's not very good. However, the Howeling punch is much better. Price wise it's not bad, for a buger and salad and a shrip with fries and a salad, it seemed on the mark. Got the Bayou burger and it was worth it. Could be a tad spicier but the flavor was spot on. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and, I gotta say, more shrimp then expected. We thought there would be like 6 and it turned out double that. Brownie points for that. Good selection of bourbon and beer. The live music was provided by @WillKingMusic on Instagram. I've been looking forward to trying Dock 17 out because I've heard great reviews. We made a reservation for 6pm, arrived a little early. We were told we would be waiting, no problem. The only thing was there were so many open tables and it was a Friday night. It just seemed odd to wait for a reservation with so many open tables. We got sat a little after 6. The server was very friendly, and got our drinks out quickly. We ordered in a timely manner. But after that, I'm not sure what happened. The food took almost an hour to come out (2 burgers and a kid chicken nugget meal). Our server didn't come back to check on us hardly at all, and I had to ask 3x for my son's ranch for his nuggets. By the time the ranch arrived so did the dessert we had previously ordered (because we figured it would take awhile to come out at this point). So my six year old son got his ranch for his nuggets and his bread pudding at the same time. He hardly had time to eat the nuggets because the ice cream on the bread pudding started to melt. The pros were the burgers. My burger (Sumo) was incredible. It was very very good. My husband's burger (Smokey) was good as well. The waiting and service are what killed this place for us. It just seems so not busy for the service and food wait to be so painfully slow. I've never been in a restaurant on a Friday night that requires reservations seem to move in slow motion in every aspect. read more

Here goes... 1. We were greeted at the door. The wait was approximately 15 minutes but we waited 25 minutes. I was confused as there were several seats open that could fit a table of four. 2. The waiter greeted us immediately with water. I hate places that do not provide ice but I had to request it. After ordering our drinks and receiving them. We waited ten minutes for the waiter to take our order. After that, it took 35 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time our waiter never came to the table to refill drinks or provide any updates. 3. Our food arrived hot, which was great. The Cajun Parmesan wings were horrible! No flavor whatsoever. The kids sliders were amazing! The fries were homemade cut which was a plus too the "southern" Mac n cheese had no south in them!! Overall rating was a 5/10. read more

First time trying this place. Location is great, ample parking, and atmosphere is cool. The place looks clean and I like the vibe. First drink was delicious, second drink not as great. Food was okay, not great but not horrible. What I wasn't to thrilled about was the service. The place was empty when we walked in and waited for the servers to switch from brunch to dinner. We waited for over 30 minutes to be seated in an empty place. Then it still took about another 15 minutes to get our drink order and about another 25 minutes to get get our food. Again, it was half empty not many tables seated. Thinking about giving this place another try to compare the food and service a second time around. read more

Positives: +Interior has potential for some great stuff. Great aesthetic. Tons of space. +Our server was on top of her game and made our experience a great one with regard to feeling well looked after. Negatives: -Food is awful. Just awful. We ordered the quiche, waffle with choc chips, and chicken and waffles. -Quiche was advertised as having a flaky crust, but bc it was obviously microwaved, it had a rubbery texture. And extremely over salted. I couldn't finish it and left hungry. -Chicken and waffles were...meh. Nothing special. They had a weird Asian taste that, had it not been so overly done and dry, may have been edible. And so, my husband left hungry as well. -The chocolate chip waffle was a plain waffle with chocolate chips sprinkled on top. So if you're looking for a traditional, legit chocolate chip waffle, you won't find it here. It's a shame, bc we want to see this place thrive. I would give it a 5 star but the host needs to get their life together. Had a reservation at 330. Showed up at 310 and the place close to empty as they come. They were not really attentive at all. There were people who came way after us and were seated. I guess they must have had reservations prior? I do not know. However they waited until exactly 330 to sit us. Mind you the restaurant was close to empty. The server we had is awesome, i forgot his name but he did an amazing job and was very caring. He gave some good recommendations. Overall the ribs were mediocre. It was very dry and I had to request sauce to make it taste better. The wings were in point. The Mac and cheese could use a little more salt for taste and more cheese to really make it cheesy. The burger hands down are the best thing to get if you eat here. Been wanting to try this place, but wanted to give it a little time to work the kinks out. Their opening is still fairly new, but I decided to give it a try anyway since I had family in town and needed a new dinner option to explore. Had reservation for 6 guests at 6:00 on a Wednesday night. We arrived at 5:57 and were immediately seated - yay . Tables are spaced decently apart, different seating options, and a very open feel. Menu choices are obviously burger focused and all options sounded great, which made choosing a challenge. I opted for the Sumo and it was delicious. The goat cheese and pickled cabbage was a perfect addition. Also opted for the sweat potato fries and the waitress recommended the mallow cream dipping sauce - that was tasty, but a little too "desserty" for my dinner taste buds. Other burgers chosen were the rocky top and the. basic burger - all guests seemed pleased with their selections. I also had the fried corn cobettes - not bad but a little dry as if they had been cooked earlier and left to hang out until ordered. Only two out of the six in my party got heartburn and I wasn't one of them lol....so that's a win in my book. Four stars instead of five because one guest reported his mixed vegetables were cold, and all food came except for the kids chicken nuggets and fries...any parent knows this is a colossal fail. Not only was the kid meal served a good time span from the rest of the table, but when it did come it was missing the fries...which meant another daunting wait . Not sure how 5 burgers and fries can be simultaneously executed and delivered but simple nuggets and fries get lost in the process ‍ We did have a keto guest who was looking for a keto option, ie lettuce instead of bun, but that was not available; however, gluten buns are available if that's your poison. Dock 17 definitely strikes me as a designated date night spot for sure I mean once you enter the restaurant it has a stage to the left, darts towards the back and bar on the right with outside seating around a fire pit. During my visit I was really blown away and the building it's connected to has several things to accompany any date such as: bowling, go karts or an arcade. I definitely think dock 17 is great and there food was good as well but It is a little pricey for the portion sizes. I definitely think it's a location I will visit again but definitely not a regular basis. read more

I reserved a table but got seated 15 min earlier for two. I ordered the Rum n Roses & you couldn't enjoy it. It had too much Rum in it. It felt like taking a shot. lol The Spritz 17 was great! We ordered the Loaded Pallet! It was amazing! My man & I had the Rocky Top burger with a side of Mac n Cheese. The burger was phenomenal! It tasted like a burger should. The Mac n Cheese was "okay." Dock 17 opened with a bang a few years ago and we started dining there a couple of times a month. Two of the most popular items that made the place unique were the beer bread and the amazing Brussels sprouts in some sort of sweet balsamic sauce. Tonight we returned to find the prices on some menu items have jumped almost 40%, The beer bread is gone and replaced with ...nothing. The Brussels sprouts have been taken off the menu. You'd swear Dock 17 has been in business for years rather than just opening. The food and service were top-notch. They must have had a lot of practice, preparation, and knowledgeable management. We ate outside, it was a little cool but not uncomfortable and it was probably quieter than inside.
