This is a fun spot. Not your typical LBI dining experience. The food is top notch. There are tables outside and some small tables inside, but the main set up is a large semicircle bar where you eat your delicious food. The staff is attentive and engaging. We sat at the large bar, chilled our drinks nearby in a large metal tub filled with ice. From the name you would surmise that it's mostly a seafood place but I decided to get the burger... Finishing up our meal, I heard someone sit down and say "does it taste the same Without the fear?" A reference to the previous establishment where you took your life in your hands using your cellphone and you used to have cash only. The new decor is fresh and updated. It needed it! The owner is incredibly friendly, on top of it and working his butt of behind the bar. The menu is still fairly small, but so is the building so par for the course. Some new favorites to be had in the burrata bruschetta and tuna nachos. The mussels are an old favorite and still just as good. The kids food - the burger and chicken fingers aren't just for kids, it's not crap, it's actually good quality stuff. The two things I miss are the fish tacos (the new ones are fried fish which aren't really my jam). I wish they'd introduce a nice grilled or blackened mahi taco but there is enough I love on the menu that I'll live without. Also the scallop melt. A super odd delicious LBI landmark dish, would love to see it hit the menu. It's still byob, still a U shaped bar and outdoor seating. Still a great place to go for some solid food. read more

When you're in Beach Haven, give this place a try! The former "Clam Bar", under new ownership with a new name is sure to please. Co-owner Kevin was working the inside and great to chat with. No reservations; write your name on the chalk wall to the right of the door and wait for a table or seats at the bar. We had hoped for an outdoor table, but there were only four and folks looked pretty settled in. We opted for seats at the bar and were happy for the A/C and camaraderie. Appetizer was Tuna Poke Nachos. Delicious but a few more pieces of tuna would have been nice. The ratio of tuna chips was off. Next up was garlic and white wine mussels. A heeping bowl full accompanied by warm bread. Lots of garlic and delicious. Enough said. Blackened shrimp Po' Boy...shrimp were big and made it difficult to eat the whole sandwich. Needed to be cut to enjoy. Presentation was great, but not functional. The fries that came with it were enjoyed by all. Chorizo tostados were very good. Fish tacos are made with fried fish and the alternative is blackened shrimp. We went for the alternative but were disappointed that only two shrimp per taco were provided. It was very tasty but would've been better with three shrimp per taco. Aioli may have overpowered the mango salsa. Hush puppies were deep fried and served with honey butter. Seemed a bit pricey at $10 per order, with hush puppies to spare. We would've liked to have paid less and had fewer hush puppies. We appreciated the large buckets of ice for BYOB. The kitchen closed at nine but at 8:45, people were still coming and the joint was jumping. Review is mixed, but we really enjoyed it and want you to check it out. 5 Stars! read more

We finally got to Dock & Claw Clam Bar and it didn't disappoint. We got burrata bruschetta and street corn apps - both were awesome. Bruschetta was super fresh and the street corn was absolutely loaded with flavor - best street corn I've ever had. My wife, who doesn't love corn, said next time we should each get our own so we don't have to share it For dinner we got blackened shrimp tacos and the mexi-cali crunch salad with chorizo. The tacos were a little bit of a mess but worth every bite - but somehow the salad was the star of the show. When I tell you this was one of the best salads I've ever had.... Huge portion, dressing was killer, chorizo was fantastic (not too spicy so my wife loved it) and they had peanuts that they roasted and tossed in hot sauce (again, not too spicy) that added a nice crunch. We will be back for sure, I can still taste that salad and it sounded like their burgers and po boys are worth trying too. Service was great, they were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We sat outside with our pup who they had a fresh bowl of water for. Only knock is that we couldn't order drinks with dinner, so next time we'll come prepared. Ordered pick up! Food - mac and cheese is delicious and a nice portion. Lobster rolls were delicious and well portioned with crispy fries that were great. I wouldn't say they were something crazy and new but tasted great, fresh, and definitely the best I've had on the island. Crab birria tacos were very nice, wish there was a little more "oomf" of flavor on the inside. Duck wings were a can't miss! Service - quick and easy pick up! Called right at opening and was ready within 20 minutes. Ambiance - can't speak much to it since we picked up but parking was a bit crowded on a nice sunny day. *Pulled pork mac and cheese from the food truck was the best! read more

While biking around the island, we ended up at this eatery, myself, my partner, and my 17-year-old son. I was immediately greeted by a friendly server and seated outside. I would definitely recommend their seafood, i.e. steamed clams, New England clam chowder that is among the best I've ever had, and some of the most delicious fish tacos I have ever had as well! The only downside (shame on me, I did not do my research, enough) was that they do not serve any alcohol except wine. So remember to bring your own cocktail of choice to this establishment, enjoy the sunset over the bay, the fun divey bar, and the wonderful service! read more

We could not have asked for a better experience our first night in town. A party of 12, we were graciously accommodated without delay -- teens outside, adults at the raw bar. The tuna nachos were outstanding! We ordered another after polishing off the first, along with little necks, oysters and the burrata bruschetta. The fish tacos were also a big hit. I usually don't post reviews but I have been here a few times and feel like it is my duty as a long time LBIer to spread awareness. The food is absolutely fantastic! My favorites include the duck wings, Cesar salad, clam steamers and ALL of their specials are always delightful. My favorite special was the shrimp ceviche! I am still thinking about how great that dang ceviche was. The service is fun and the ambience is casual. Perfect for an easy meal after the beach. Throw your name on the chalkboard crack, open a cold beer or bottle of wine and get ready for an authentic LBI night! They're the new Black Whale or Delaware Ouster House. Best clam chowder on island! Food is good but catering is a mess! One time catering replaced an item without telling and delivered too late to say no. Second time they forgot and while they delivered food it was an hour after food was supposed to arrive. Bottom line is they are for shoobies and not locals read more

This place is legit. One of the owners named Steve is an English gentleman and couldn't be a nicer guy. We had a lobster roll and shrimp Po boy sandwich and they were absolutely delicious. This was a big let down. With glowing reviews and a casual atmosphere we had high hopes. Unfortunately they had no local oyster offerings when we stopped in. We went with the PEI options. As we watched them being shucked we were disappointed to see the briny liquor being dumped and one of them oddly being rinsed under running water after being opened. Once they arrived the oysters were suspiciously warm. Needless to say we did not finish them. There are much better oyster spots on the island offering not only better quality shuckers but also better food safety practices. read more
