The daily special pepperoni pizza w a few things added
Tracy M.

What a gem for the Locals &/or if you are just passing thru. There is golf, putting, pinball games, a playground area for children, plenty of both indoor & outdoor seating, and fast good food. I'd been craving pepperoni pizza & that was coincidentally their Daily Special, yum.

Pizza was good. Timeliness was good. A few more ingredients on the pizza would have made it a 5

This is probably my favourite pizza in the lower Yakima Valley, and one of the only non-chain pizza places in the area.

The staff members are absolutely sweet, and as a major bonus for anyone coming off the trail, the restrooms are spotless. They have a fantastic selection of wraps and sandwiches, and everything we ordered was hit. The chicken pesto wrap was super flavorful and fresh, while the Santa Fe wrap had a perfect kick of flavor. The Peoh point sandwich was hearty and delicious, and the new girl salad wrap was light, crisp, and refreshing. I also love the fact that every single meal comes with your choice of a side of sliced apples or chips. It is such a nice, thoughtful touch. Whether you need an energy boost before heading up the mountain or a place to unwind and recharge afterward, this place hits the spot every time!

My Santa Fe wrap was delicious and really hit the spot! It was vegan so it was nice and light and was a great option for a fast meal. I also had the homemade Mac salad which was delicious. Their menu is super diverse with heavy to light sandwiches, lots of sides, chips, sweet treats, smoothies, and coffee. I wish I was more hungry so I could have tried more! The workers are super friendly and welcoming, and the decor is very cozy and home-y. I will absolutely return here for a meal next time I'm driving through Cle Elum.

We've been here twice, both times to grab sandwiches after a morning of hiking in the Gorge…read more They have a pretty big menu and offer options with soups, salads, and sandwiches, which I love! You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The dining space is bright with tons of seating. I love that they make their own bread!! It's super soft and such a nice touch. I usually go with the turkey which has turkey, white cheddar, tomato, pickles, onion, lettuce, and hot mustard. It was a bit spicier than I would have liked, not that it was too hot, but that flavor was really dominant for me so I'd probably modify it a bit in the future or just build my own . My daughter loved her ham sandwich which comes with sprouts, avocado, and cucumber. My husband also really liked his Italian and their clam chowder. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are hungry in the Gorge!

Quite a bad visit, with one caveat. Upon entering we went…read moreto the counter to order, looking forward to the good food we've had here a few times. First impression, the young woman at the counter was not welcoming or even friendly, yet physically pushed the tip jar towards my husband as he was preparing to run his card. Never a good look. Next, our waffle and sandwich arrive. Both have been great on other visits, this time drastically different. The egg sandwich was almost flavorless, but our waffle was an epic fail. It seemed quite pale when he set it down, but starving I cut off a large bite immediately, only to find out what raw sourdough tastes like...and it's not pleasant. My husband took it back up to the counter, receiving no regrets & no letting us know they'd get another started. We finished our coffees and sandwich and waited; after 15 minutes he went back to peek in the kitchen at which point an employee walked to the iron and out it came. Only this time it wasn't just extra crunchy, it was so overcooked there was no longer a center. Both still hungry, my husband washed down about 1/3 of the 2nd waffle and we headed out...again, still hungry. Luckily the one positive, I'd ordered a cinnamon roll to-go with our order to enjoy later and it was very good. We hadn't been here since they'd done a remodel and the place was clean and looked good, but service needed way more than a little work on our visit.

Sometimes, you just want a sandwich…read more TL:DR - generous, well-constructed sandwiches, meats freshly sliced, and good value. This place is a gem amidst a sea of corporate chain sandwich shops. I was running errands around lunchtime and, feeling peckish, I thought about something to eat. Now I had many more errands, so road food was the order of the day. But how many burgers can you eat? There are even some pretty good independent burger joints, but sometimes, you just want a sandwich. Now, for context, our progeny ate a school lunch maybe a half dozen times, total, throughout their school years. Most of the time, I made lunch, and the centerpiece was the sandwich. Carefully selected meats, fresh veggies, a wide variety of sauces (they can't even eat a roast beef sandwich to this day without a bit of horseradish in there somewhere) were combined with excellent bread. That is what I wanted. That is what I got. The bread choices are white or brown, but that's because the emphasis is on the interiors. The Italiano, with pastrami, salami, and pepperoni, is a classic combination, with provolone, pepperoncini, and "all the fixins" (In response to whether or not I wanted "everything" I replied "Fuck me up, sandwich sensei!") because I firmly believe in allowing the restaurant to present you with their wares, and let you decide if you like them. Now, the-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), cannot stand black olives, but in this sandwich, they provide such a tempering influence of slightly salty, slightly bitter counterpoint to the sweet bell peppers, that it would have been poorer without them. I thought I was only going to eat about half and then save the rest, but I just couldn't help myself. I ate the whole dang thing. The vibe is classic sandwich shop, there is someone at the end of the line freshly slicing more meats as needed while two people turn out submarine deliciousness for an anxious crowd. Do not miss this place, it is a gem.

So, we TRIED to order from Sub Shop, however, they roll their sidewalks up at 5pm. And you can't order online after 4:30pm. Talk about a reason to "Yakima-don't buy into it". They claim to be cheaper than anyone else on subs, but you know, not by a significant amount. So, we went to Jersey Mike's instead cause they were not THAT much more and they seem to understand that sometimes, people work til 5pm or beyond. Would have loved to shopped local, but Sub Shop just makes it too difficult to do so.

The FIRST time she was sold pizza with bad dough, she didn't ask for a refund. My family tried to eat the pizza thinking that there was no way the workers knowingly sold them a bad pizza. The second time this happened, though, she went back and told the workers that the dough was bad. The first person there just told her to get a refund. The person my mom had to get the refund from tried to play it off as if it were fine, until my mom told them to smell the dough. They refunded her her $19. Now today my mom decided she would give them their third chance. I personally wouldn't have. She went into this place ready to spend $50+ on their pizza - but she was immediately refused service for "causing problems" in the past and "causing them to lose money" by returning the last bad pizza. This was told to her (rudely, might I add) by both the employees as well as the manager after she requested to speak to her in order to understand why. My mom was BAFFLED that they would refuse to take her $50+ after "losing them" their $19 last time, even though she was still trying to support their local business when they didn't deserve it. Long story short - don't do business here unless you're willing to give them your money and shut up when they give you expired and bad food. I know I won't be frequenting this business and I'll make sure everyone I know knows how they treat their customers. My mom was correctly told by the manager that they have the right to refuse business to everyone - just as everyone else has a right to know that they're being sold and fed bad food.
