My first time here, I ordered fish and chips with a side of collards. When I received my plate, I got fish and collards. I asked where are the chips? Menu says served with chips, waitress said that's a side and it doesn't "come" with chips. Wow! I'm perplexed, even when it's on the menu, you won't get it here. read more

Stopped in on 11/17 @ 8:30 just to grab a nightcap and maybe a quick app before going home. Sat at the bar for 10 min and was completely ignored. Bartender was outside the bar talking to two other people. She saw me but continued talking and almost hiding as to not want to be bothered by having to work. Got up and walked out. Wont be going back there again. The food isnt that great and the bread is always cold from refridgeration....great thing to use on hot food so when it makes its way to you its already cold. read more

Walked in for dinner Saturday night and sat at the bar. The manager, Jessie, couldn't have been nicer. She was quick, efficient and friendly. She helped recommend something for my dinner and the southwest eggrolls didn't disappoint! I even returned the next morning for their special brunch and got very similar service! Came in for lunch. Took several minutes for a waitress to even come to our table. Ordered some drinks. My mother in law met us shortly thereafter. She had to go to the restroom and had a fall by the hostess station. (no hostess when we came in and no hostess when she fell) A very nice patron informed us of the fall. Not one employee did or said anything. Other than the bartender offering some extra napkins for her bleeding head. Really not impressed. Paid $20 for drinks that no one touched and spent 5 hours in the ER. And no there will not be a lawsuit, but I will never ever come to this establishment again. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Service was slow and the food was underwhelming. Lots of people waiting to be seated when we arrived even though there were plenty of available tables. Likely because the kitchen staff isn't able to keep up with a full restaurant (then do better training or hire more cooks). Appetizer took too long to arrive even though the table across from us that got seated after us got their appetizer before us. Was told that they were out of sliders because they ran out of the small slider buns. Then make an executive decision and run to Kroger, which is literally across the street, to get more buns. The mac & cheese was the weirdest I've ever tasted as was the cole slaw. Cole slaw wasn't creamy at all and was actually spicy. I like spice, just not in my slaw. Pulled pork was a little dry and when the bill came I realized I was actually charged for the small cup of BBQ sauce. The server asked what sauce I would like when I ordered, giving me the impression that it was included with the meal. Overall the food was nothing special at all and it was definitely overpriced. When this place was a Wild Wing Cafe we came here all the time. The food and service was much better then. Unfortunately as a Doc's Porchside we won't be going back. What a shame because it's close to home and convenient for us. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place. Oh well. read more

Myself & 3 friends went last night. We were all very excited to try this place because the menu looked fantastic with a lot of varieties. However, we quickly became very disappointed. Our server was very nice but the food and drinks were a different story. We each ordered a different appetizer to try. Pretzels and beer cheese, mozz sticks, the eggrolls and fried pickles. The pretzels were like hard dough covered in salt (cold in the middle) and the cheese had been sitting out so long that it was hard and crusty. It tasted like canned cheese wiz. The fried pickles were cold and so salty we couldn't eat them and the egg rolls tasted like straight cheese wiz as well. They were supposed to have pimento cheese in them. The shredded BBQ in the egg rolls was super dry and stringy. NONE of the food was even close to being hot. The bar drinks were full of flavored syrup and extremely thick from the large amount of syrup in them. It was a huge disappointment. We cashed out after only an hour and went somewhere else. I had hoped for a better experience but it was a mess. I am not a picky eater by any means, but the food was pitiful. Grovetown is a very busy city and has grown tremendously over the years. This F&B place was a big disappointment. read more

Service is fantastic. They are the Only reason it is getting 1 star. I've tried this place multiple times and still not impressed. The pork is dry. The eggrolls are great but expensive (like all the food) for a small amount. Food taste like it comes straight from a microwave. The server I had last night was great. She really knows how to do her job, I joked about all the bad reviews online and she laughed and told me "Yeah, half of the good ones on there are from the staff here and regulars." Which makes so much more sense. If you have to get your employees to write good reviews, there's a problem. She and another server also told me that the managers were blaming the bad business they get on service. Also they apparently talk bad about customers when we complain or want something remade. And How they yell at them because when they are in a bad mood or busy. I was a waitress for 12 years. The service is great. Maybe the management needs to take a step back and look at themselves, the prices, and the food they are trying to sell to us. read more

We were excited to try this place since it's close to home and we'd love to have a place to go and get a fun family meal. This is not it! The waitresses were in tight, so tight can you say camel toe, white shorts and personally I would not call that family friendly. Our waitress was more modest and actually was very nice. The food was not good. My chicken sandwich was over cooked and chewy. My roll looked like they has just gotten a cheap bag of rolls from Kroger and proceeded to set heavy items on it, squashed. My hubby got the shrimp po boy, it was awful, not very many shrimp and soggy, very very soggy, not crisp battered shrimp. Another member of our party got a burger which was passable but really how can you mess up a burger? The mozzarella sticks look like they were from a box in the frozen food section of the store. Disappointing. Not to mention when we were there we sat outside on the porch and it looked like a close friend of an employee brought their puppy to supper with them, which wouldn't have been bad but it was walking around by their table and peed on the ground. Ummmmm........ yuck! I have pets and they do not pee where I eat. So bad food, cleanliness is questionable and the wait staff looks like they should be at the other wing place in town where you expect tight short shorts and tank tops. read more
