I met up with my friend, and this was his pick as I have never been here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was so pretty and decorated so nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got seated immediately for lunchtime. There was lots to choose from, and the mango alcoholic drink that's in the picture was so freaking delicious, lol. I forgot the name. We ordered and didn't have to wait too long for our food. Everything was yummy and tasty. It cooked perfect. I ordered the chilaquiles, which normally has an egg and steak in it, but here they don't and charge you for them, which to me is ridiculous. It was ok, but I'm not a fan of it being small. The waitress did forget my esquite, but we just got it to go, so no worries. The food was great for the most part. The meats were cooked to perfection but some lacked seasoning. The bottom end of the experience was the rice. The rice was hard, dried out and burnt in some pieces. Super disappointing in all honesty. We read reviews of El Kiosco and decided to give it a whirl. First, let me say our waitress was AWESOME! She was the sweetest. We needed nothing, she was on top of it. Enter the food, the salsa is chunky which we appreciated but its heavy on cumin(?). Good but different. We ordered fajitas and it was a lot of food! Downside was, it lacked flavor. We also ordered Chile Rellenos. They were heavy on the breading and tasted as if they were frozen. Thats not unusual to see these days. We travel a lot and run into that often. This place never lets me down, always the best food and customer service every time! My family has been coming here for years and the food comes out quick and delicious, even on busy night's which seems to be often due to this places popularity. There isn't that many sit down restraunts in Grovetown but this is hands down the best there is and it's consistently amazing. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone, plus the prices are reasonable especially for how big the portions are. I have yet to find a place with better salsa and you have to get the queso with chorizo, it'll change your life. This food is not authentic, the chips looked like they were Tostitos from the store( the food and tea are overpriced and underrated. They overcharged me and itemized everything I ordered and said new menu new prices. Taco Bell is more authentic than this place. They didn't even have jalapeños in the cheese dip and very bland. This place is a decent spot for large groups and lunch. We usually go here for work lunches because they can easily accommodate and they have quick service. Today I ordered the carne asada tacos & horchata. The orchards tastes like the artificial cinnamon mix. The tacos were good, but the tortillas tasted a bit stale. This was the first time I was disappointed in a meal from El Kiasco. I ordered their fish. It looked good on the menu. But it came out very overdone and dried out. I couldn't even eat it. There is a salad underneath it, and plenty of limes to squeeze on it. The salad had lettuce and cheese and avocados. I don't eat avocados often but they are good. Came on a Wednesday evening, and got seated immediately. Chips came before the server. Our server greeted us and took our drink and food order. I ordered a regular mango daiquiri and it was very weak. It was good in regards to tasting the mango but it lacked alcohol. Maybe 2-3 sips had some alcohol, and if it was a virgin smoothie it'd be popular among kids. I ordered the quesadilla fajitas. It was really good, full of flavor, but very oily. The queso that came on it was really thick and left a coating on my teeth. All in all, not bad, but when the food comes out before the drink that's a little questionable. I really can't complain as this is one of the better Mexican places we've tried during our stay in Georgia. read more

The first thing that gets you is the genuine friendliness of the staff they are very warm and welcoming! The food is tasty and served quickly. I am a sucker for combinations and El Kiosco has plenty to choose from. Mine was a #9, with a burrito, enchilada and chile relleno. Each was smothered in a different sauce, piping hot and delicious. As is typical for me, I sat at the bar and was welcomed by fresh chips and salsa. I went with a group of friends that like El Kiosco and I have decided that I'm not friends with them anymore. The food is extremely bland. The salsa tastes like canned tomatoes and cilantro and the queso tastes like melted white cheddar. Our server was very good and that's the only reason for the second star. read more

I came here with my wife for a weekend lunch, and the food was amazing. I ask my waitress what was the best dish in the restaurant? He told me Pollo a la Parilla; when I tell you this plate of food was great, the chicken was marinaded in a mouth watering, hair pulling flavor as if I was back in Mexico City eating authentic Mexico food again. Best Mexican food in Augusta. I'm from the area and have gone all over and nothing beats this restaurant.

This was NOT it. The food was cold, and bland. The best thing was the qeso. Our table was filthy even after we asked them to wipe it down. Although our service was fair, just overall not the spot for Mexican in this small town. We won't be returning. I suggest the place further down also on the right side in the strip. read more

I have been here several times. The staff is always friendly. They have recently remodeled and all the chairs have their logo carved in. It's kinda cute. Some of the dishes I've tried have been hit or miss. The shedded chicken nachos are pretty good, and I like the enchiladas verde. This place works for a bite to eat with coworkers. read more

Didn't give me a choice to get reimbursement or get replacement next time. And the person I spoke to was rude. I went back there, this time everything was good.
