Doc's is a great place for a family events or just daily fun. Also, the summer camp program is top notch.

This place is a hole. Staff is very unprofessional. Says it is kid friendly but it is not.

Not helpful at all to beginners and act like you should just know what you're doing if you come to this establishment. The worker at the consession area asked me where the "strawberry lemonade was on the menu" when I asked to order it...must have no idea what he's doing either. The one bald guy continued to harass me and my group throughout the night. I could just keep going on and on. ***Our BLACK FAMILY was HARRASSED and RACIALLY PROFILED ***…read moreSarah was aggressive, dismissive, and unwilling to listen when we explained that the young man was not a minor, as she claimed. Despite his attempt to present valid identification proving he was 21 years old, Sarah refused to believe it, mocked the situation using air quotes about his "real age," and continued to escalate the issue. Once it became clear she could not justify her claim about his age, she abruptly shifted her reasoning, stating that he was not "chaperoning a child" and had to leave. The young man, like the rest of us, was a paying customer. He had purchased both entry and skate rental. There was absolutely no justification for the treatment he received--other than the fact that he is a young Black man. What made this even more painful was the clear contrast in how our white friend, who also had no skates and remained seated at our table, was completely ignored and never harassed by staff. The racial bias and discrimination from Sarah, the security guard, and other staff members were blatant. The overall environment was hostile, disrespectful, and unsafe. We ultimately made the decision to leave as a group, feeling dehumanized and unwelcome. To add further insult, the young man who had paid for entry and skate rentals was treated as if he were not a legitimate customer. The staff, including the girl at the skate rental window, were disrespectful when attempting to return our shoes, even citing minor issues like not "tucking" the laces into the skates. We were only at the facility for about an hour in total, but it was enough time to experience clear racial profiling, harassment, and unprofessional behavior by the staff. This is not the kind of experience any paying customer should ever endure.

What a fun throwback experience to go roller skating at Coppermine Sportsman's Hall! The parking…read morelot is huge, so it's very easy to park, and it's free parking. The place is pretty easy to find though it is unlikely you'd just happen to drive by it, as it is kind of not on the beaten path. You can purchase everything ahead of time in terms of skate rentals and entry. It's pretty reasonable for one session mid-afternoon until close in the evening, you just need one entrance ticket/fee paid. You get your money's worth for sure if you are there for hours! You can bring your own skates or rent skates here- they have regular roller skates and roller blades. Both of these are in whole sizes, no half sizes, and both of them would be best on your feet with high socks that go to your lower calves, at least. Tying them tightly gives you the best skating, but that also pinches into skin if you don't have the right socks. They have an area for parties that includes a few arcade games, but mostly, you're there to skate. There are people there who are serious skaters going wicked fast and throwing some cool tricks, but we never felt bad in any way for not being one of the super talented skaters. There's a snack bar, too, with your classic fare like burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fries and funnel cake fries. Yummy snack junk food that makes the experience all the more reminiscent of young carefree days! They have lockers for your stuff, some don't even lock, but no one seemed concerned. There are benches for sitting and changing out your shoes to skates and vice versa, and people tend to just stash their shoes under the benches rather than get a locker. A good time all around and pretty affordable if you're there for a while!

Attended a birthday party with my seven year old son at Sportsman's Hall Roller Skating…read more Upon arrival, we were greeted at the front by an employee who was solely dealing with party check in. That's a great touch, as it got us through quickly without slowing down anyone who wasn't with a party. My son was given a voucher for skates and, after greeting the party guests, we headed over to get a pair. This was easy. He was in a pair of skates that fit in like two minutes. I planned on just sort of hanging with him but was informed outside shoes could not be on the skate floor. This was his first time so I sort of let him go and...it wasn't good. Thankfully there was a referee who helped him return to me. At this point I decided to get him a skate pal and rented my own pair of skates (both of which were super reasonable prices). The skating rink seemed to be in mostly good shape. There were a couple questionable spots. The rink has a DJ, snack bar and some games that people can play when not skating. The food was fine. The games were fine as well. Neither was spectacular. The host that was connected to our party was very attentive and accommodating. She explained everything that she was doing (almost too much). The one negative is the bathrooms. They are not very conducive to beginning skaters. Trying to keep my son from falling and conking his head on the toilet was a bit of a chore. Taking skates on and off is also a hassle and there isn't really anywhere to store them in or around the bathroom. I'm not sure what the solution is but, just know, bathroom going at the rink while wearing skates can be an adventure. Overall I thought Sportsman's Hall Roller Skating was a fine place to attend a kids birthday party.

I'm not a roller coaster rider but I do get on rides. I get on mellow rides lol. We probably got on at least six non roller coaster rides that were very enjoyable. Also saw a seal show. That was quite entertaining. It also wasn't rushed. Probably lasted at least 30-40 minutes. Oh and the price also includes the zoo. We were here during the springtime. I would love to come back during the summer to explore some of the other activities available such as the water park and other options. This really was fun and we also paid for one meal plan. It included one main course, one side and a fountain drink or bottle of water for $19.99. All tickets were pre-purchased online. One recommendation. Pre-purchase your parking online as well. We didn't do that and we went for upclose parking. It was pretty expensive. $60 to be exact. We could have saved if we had purchased it online. So we know the next time. General parking was $35 and they had a trolley to take you to the park. So the choice is yours. I would definitely return again. Can't wait!!!

First and foremost, for HersheyPark and ANY amusement park you go to, check the website for hours…read morebefore you plan your trip, and again the night before or morning of. Hours change, but not too often. Weather affects hours sometimes, and can definitely affect what rides will be open. Not everything is going to be open all of the time. Check what rides will be open in the season you're coming to avoid disappointment. (And again, this is for literally any theme park/amusement park.) Also, for anything like this, the website is your friend... Read the FAQs. Buy your tickets as soon as you've decided that you will be going this year, they will be cheaper the earlier you get them. Check the season passes, figure out how many days you'd need to go to make it worth it. Maybe just one person in the group should get it, remember *MOST* passes come with parking, so that's a big value right there, not to mention discounts on food and merch. There are also "bring a friend" days, which if that happens to fall on your visit, even better! HersheypPark has some amazing rides. Amazing coasters. Great flat rides. Most important tips: 1. DO NOT just show up and buy tickets the day of, this is always going to be the most expensive way. Buy as far in advance as you can, and look into passes. 2. Check the weather. A. If it's high winds Candy doesn't run. Some things close in the rain, most things close if there is thunder anywhere close. If it's below 40 f the coasters aren't going to run. If it's below 32 f the drop towers don't run. Anything else you'll have to check, I know these from experience. B. Dress appropriately. Bring extra socks if there's a chance of rain, bring a poncho, bring layers if you're coming in cooler months. 3. Drink a lot of water. Any place that has a soda fountain will give you a cup of ice water if you ask. 4. Wear comfortable, worn in shoes. 5. Have fun! Stuff happens sometimes. Try to go with the flow and enjoy yourself even when things aren't perfect. 6. Be nice to the staff. When things go wrong, it's not their fault, they just work there. Treat others how you want to be treated, or even better, treat employees as you would want your child/spouse/loved ones to be treated. 7. Leave the back row open for me and my husband 8. Almost forgot...there's a waterpark within the park. It doesn't cost anything extra, so when the weather is hot hot hot, you can go cool off! (Bring a change of clothes, bathing suit, water shoes, towel) 9. Sunblock. Do it. Reapply often.
