i had the misfortune of getting my car broken into while parked in dtla, and i needed a shop to get the back tailgate window replaced asap. both safelite and auto glass now (insurance-recommended) didn't have any open appointments available until a week at the earliest, and there was no way i was going to drive around for that long with a smashed windshield or one covered with a black trash taped over it. fortunately i found doctor auto glass on yelp, was convinced by the 1700+ glowing 5-star reviews, and i can now count myself as another satisfied customer! robert was able to confirm my vehicle information and insurance coverage over the phone and text on a friday afternoon and let me know that i could drop off my car the next morning. the no-frills shop is located on a small lot, and with the number of customers coming in, it can get pretty tight but the workers will let you know where to park. robert took care of all the paperwork dealing with my insurer, and i was able to pick up my car with a brand new oem windshield by the early afternoon before they closed for the saturday! i hope i do not need to return but would choose doctor auto glass again if i had to, and i would recommend them to anyone looking for a fast, efficient car window replacement! read more

A cracked windshield is one of those super annoying things that can happen while out on the wild wild roads of Southern California. When I realized the crack was going to require a full windshield replacement, I had hopes it would be covered by dealer warranty. (New car) It was NOT covered by the dealer warranty, surprise surprise. My next goal was to find a quality shop who could do the job on a new model year car while not compromising the OEM feel of a new car. Doctor Auto Glass is who I went with and it was a good experience. I now have the new OEM windshield installed and it has been a few days and I washed my car yesterday and no leaks or issues. The only downside is that I had tint on my front windshield that I lose by replacing the windshield along with my Fast Track transponder sticker, but obviously not any fault of Doctor Auto Glass, just a pain point in general for replacing windshield to consider. The shop did great work in a reasonable amount of time and you can be in and out in the same day within a few hours. When I first arrived I saw a good amount of vehicles waiting to be serviced so pulling in, let the staff guide you where to park as it can fill up. I thought with all the vehicles ahead of me it might be an "all day" type of situation, but it was not and they stuck to the original quoted time frame. They explained the difference between OEM and aftermarket glass, confirmed the use of FYG (Fuyao) glass, included ADAS calibration, offered a calibration report, and provided a lifetime workmanship warranty. They installed a new FYG Acoustic windshield, performed the ADAS calibration in-house, and provided a calibration report showing the calibration was completed successfully. All Toyota Safety Sense features are working properly and there are no warning lights or system errors. My total cost was about $480 paid by card. Had a really amazing experience with Doctor Auto Glass! My Honda Pilot 2021 was showing a lot of warning signs and error messages. I tried buying a used windshield camera first, but after bringing it to Doctor Glass for diagnosis, Robert explained that the used camera was bad. He honestly suggested buying a new one instead of wasting more money. After I got the new camera, I brought the car back and they calibrated everything perfectly -- and voila, all the warning lights were gone and everything worked great again What impressed me the most was how quick and professional they were. All the workers help each other, and you can really tell they care about doing a good job. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I managed to crack the windshield on my Tesla, and immediately started freaking out about how much it would cost to fix. After doing some checking on Yelp!, I found Doctor Auto Glass. I was quoted 3 hours and a VERY attractive price. They honored the price out the door (including taxes) and were actually an HOUR FASTER than the quoted time. Camera calibration included! Living in LA, I've had my car windows smashed. Once while it was left parked, on a hike up Azusa (the audacity, they stole my garage remote and some change). A few times in LA, just leaving it parked on the street, like around Arts District and Little Tokyo (nothing of consequence was taken). Then a random rock cracking the windshield while driving down the 10 freeway. I've come to Doctor Auto Glass for my driver's side window, passenger window, and the windshield. And in every case, the cost was affordable, and the service was fairly efficient. Like for the windshield, the breakdown came to $120 for the windshield part, and $100 dollars for labor to install it. Even though I was quoted about an hour to get the job done, I would say give yourself about an hour and a half or two hours if you're on a tight schedule, and to account of them being busy working on other cars head of you. I've been through Safelite before. Yeah, Safelite repair, Safelite replace, but they're the ace when it comes to raping you on price - and this was going through my insurance. And the power window was a bit wonky on rainy days, when Safelite installed it. So yes, during those unlucky times, I come back to Doctor Auto Glass. Good work, good service, good price. I actually contacted them through their website before asking for quotes and comparing. I went with Doctor Auto Glass because of not only its friendly affordable price and lifetime warranty, but also, their reputation. They even responded back to me after-hours and were the first. I had a cracked front windshield on my car that needed to be replaced. Robert and his team helped me with this. I waited for about 90 minutes in the store as they fixing my car, and they were able to get me out in under 2 hours. The quote they provided me also includes calibration, labor, parts, and lifetime warranty. They also offer mobile services, but I opted to come in. The shop is very tight-spaced and is located right off a major street (Live Oak Ave) in Arcadia. Parking may look claustrophobic but just park your car up and they'll take care of the rest once you hand them the keys. After they're done, you'll have to back your car out onto the street. I suggest waiting for the red light as there's tons of cars coming by. I got a chip on my windshield (350Z), and I brought it here ASAP so it doesn't spread. I came just after they opened, maybe around 8:00 AM. I was one of the first cars, and I was in/out around 30 minutes. I believe I paid $50 for the chip repair. This was my first time going to a shop to fix a chip. For chips in my windshields on my cars, I've been repairing them myself with the DIY kits they sell. This time, I decided to go to a "professional" so the outcome would be better, potentially--it's not like I had any issues with the repairs myself, the cracks never spread, but I just wanted to give a pro a try to see the difference. One thing I noticed is that the chip I had on my 350Z did not get any smaller. Usually, when I fix the chips myself on my other cars, the resin fills up most of the crack. I understand that it's not supposed to repair the chips/crack 100% because you can always still see a little bit of the outline of the chip, but its main goal is to prevent the cracking. The reason why I gave a 4-star instead of 5 is that I don't know if the efficacy of the repair has anything to do with the chip/crack getting filled visually. The repaired chip looks exactly same as before, when it wasn't repaired--this is the main concern. I attached a picture of the repair for now, and I will update this review at a later time after I drive my car more to see if it spreads or not. The only problem is that I only put about 500-1000 miles on my 350Z yearly, so I may never know if it was a good repair or not. If this were my daily driver (which I put 25,000 mi/year), it would really put the repair to the test, since everyday driving conditions vary--bumps, temperature changes, and other factors. But for now, it seems okay, so I'm happy. I'll update this review in a year or so to see how good the repair holds up. read more

Man! I am beyond satisfied with Doctor Auto Glass and the amazing service they provided. I drove away a very happy customer. Last Friday, my hubby accidentally broke my windshield with his Ray-Bans (that's another story ). Since we were paying out of pocket, he started calling around for quotes. Meanwhile, we called Safelite. They quoted nearly $900 because of the sensor and calibration, and they didn't even have my windshield in stock until Tuesday. We arrived at 8:45 AM and were greeted right away. The gentleman even cracked a joke after hearing our story. We dropped off the car and went up the street for breakfast. By the time we finished (around 9:45 AM), my car was DONE. It's been five days now, it rained on Wednesday, and not a single drop of water came inside my car.
