The place has no idea how to keep there appointments and walk-in's organized. First the phone rep told me I can do a walk-in instead of my next day appointment. And once I came in I was informed, "oh we are not doing walk-in's". After that drama was sorted out , I waited for an hour and finally went up and asked the front desk to how much longer? After few mins the reply was another 30 mins. It has been past those additional 30 mins and im still waiting. This Medical center is overbooking and crowding people without any sense for their respective patient's time or regard. Only come here if its absolutely necessary. read more

I am a patient there never had an issue until Dr.Bary Benzing was there I took my son for a physical no one was there and still made me wait, I asked how much lo nger and said to get back in the room. While door closed I'm speaking with my son about how long is taking and it has never happened before and he walked in with a attitude and I asked very unprofessional i told him twice i will be quite just do my sons physical and he said thats if i decide to sign it and i said if that happens we will figure it out and he starts yelling that i am threatning him.i am very upset he told me and my son to leave and i am sad for my son cause he should have never spoken to us like dogs. I went in last week for rash on my neck and the doctor was very friendly and attentive so that made me comfortable plus the customer service was pretty good so once I got the cream that I needed it cleared up very fast and I'm happy about that so I will be back if anything happens in the future read more

The staff was very friendly. I was a walk-in around 11:30am ... my options were an hour and a half-wait, or a scheduled appointment at 2:30pm. I took the appointment, went home and rested. When I returned, the waiting area slowed down. The staff was very kind, Dr. Sjoval was awesome and had a great sense of humor. They all took great care of me despite the horrible condition i was in. I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff, the doctor was great and made me feel so comfortable. The staff was even bilingual, which was extremely helpful. The wait was about a half hour..but I've never been to a drs office and been seen right away. The center also had TWO lobby's. So everyone was spaced out and I was even given the option to sit in my car. I strongly would recommend this place to family and friends. read more

The first thing you notice as you walk in is the strange smell. It smells like someone is cooking stew or something. My daughter went there complaining of a cough and fever. The doctor told her it was allergies and gave her a prescription for Zyrtec. The next day her fever was so high and her cough was awful. I took her to my doctor. Just seeing her and listening to her lungs he said she had pneumonia. How can a doctor not hear that someone has pneumonia??? She was immediately treated and got better. I went to Doctor's Medi Center the next day and spoke to that doctor and gave him a piece if my mind. He was apologetic but I should have sued him for malpractice. My elderly mother went for a cough and was misdiagnosed with asthma when she actually had bronchitis. I given this place several tries but I always end up in the ER because they don't give good care. The only good thing about this place is the front desk. They are pleasant and always fit me in. I won't be going here again and I wouldn't recommend it read more

Made a 4pm appointment; arrived @3:45, checked-in and was called to a room @4:05; nurse checked BP - all good. At 4:40, Dr. Clifford Lipton walked - I asked what took so long and he told me he was doing paperwork for 35 minutes while patients were waiting for his service. I'm a diabetic and take metformin ( which recently had a recall due to high levels of cancer causing containment's); I asked Dr. Lipman what he thought and what substitute medicines he would suggest, he said "I don't follow that stuff you will be fine if you take Metformin" - I thought this guy is a doctor? He takes my pulse and asked me if I was nervous , I said "no, I'm frustrated by your answer". He just walked out of the room and when I asked where he was going he shouted " what, do you think I'm a dog"! In my opinion the man is unprofessional, and is an embarrassment to the medial field! I went to this Medi-Center in Carteret where I live I woke with a UTI and any Woman who has experienced one knows the pain. The women at the reception area asked me if I had a appointment I explained I did not (never needed one before). I told her I had a UTI which would have taken 15 minutes to pee and be tested and write a prescription.She said if they get a cancellation she could call me, No Sympathy what so ever. This is a money making business that does not follow due diligence to make sure that your insurance fully covers your claims. It is not the patient's fault if the business realizes down the line that there is no coverage in particular city or countrywhen they accepted it initially, regardless of whether it is in NewYork, Puerto Rico or Brazil. That's why there is a billing and reception department. Beware, they will tell you you are covered but down the line you are not! I stand my ground.Money making callous business. Do not waste your time or precious co-pay going to this place. This facility is money hungry and unethical. All they care about is cash in their pocket. I had a switch in insurance 2 years ago. Never went a day without, just went from one company to another. I took my son to Doctors Medi Center after this and I suppose they mistakenly billed the old insurance. Which of course got denied. Making me have a balance with the facility. They sent letters. I replied and submitted bills to my new and current insurance. I thought the matter was taken cared of. About a year after that my son who has asthma could not breath. I was terrified. He was 6 at the time. I brought him in there being that they have treated him before. They pulled up our account and told us they would love to see him after I payed the balance on his account. $400. I am a working mom of 3. I do not just have $400 laying around. I was unprepared for this. I offered just the co-pay and said we can take care of the discrepancy after he was treated. Again he was 6 and having an asthma attack. Could not breathe! They turned us away. Now what if something had happened to us on our way to the hospital. What if he stopped breathing. What if the lack of oxygen caused permanent damage? These are Doctors! I was under the impression Doctors had an oath, that they should have compassion. I would assume Doctors and staff would have a higher standard of ethics! I little boy who had no energy to stand on his own, who was obviously struggling to breathe was turned away aver $400. (My son is fine. The hospital took great care of him.) I of course was enraged but did not want this issue on my credit report. I again called my insurance company and they said they would handle it. I did not get another bill. I did not get any calls concerning the matter. I again thought it was dealt with. Until today when I called to make an appointment for my very sick daughter. She is eleven and had a high fever and was just a mess! They again brought up this $400. I again do not have $400 laying around. Long story short, after again getting denied, I told the owner of this facility to shove that bill....I will forever have this $400 on my credit report because I refuse to pay Docors Medi Center. There is no way they deserve my payment or my business. I hope this review saves someone the agony I have had dealing with them. read more
