This is my first visit to Kelli Willingham DNP at Advanced ENT Specialists and I couldn't be more satisfied. She is very kind and compassionate to me. I am 82 years old and has hearing problems but she was always ready to take her time to explain the detail of my conditions and answer all my questions until I fully understood. She is absolutely wonderful and very professional with a caring disposition. Upon my request, she emailed me after my visit my office notes and summary and gave me more advices and suggestions. I found this medical business while looking for a same day, walk in service on the web for urgent care. To my delight this company supposedly services DC and comes to your home so I was very excited to submit a request since I'd feel more comfortable being seen in my home. But, to my disappointment, they don't serve "my area" in DC, specifically Deanwood. Perhaps it would be beneficial if they stated on their website which counties, DC wards, etc. that they service. read more

I found this place via Yelp and gave them a call since my primary doctor couldn't squeeze me in and I didn't want to pay a visit to an urgent care clinic. Despite the rave reviews, I think there is much room for improvement. Here's a breakdown of my experience using this service. ******* Pros ******** ********************** QUICK RESPONSE- I called the number on the site (in the morning), left a voicemail and received a call from Dr. Brown within an hour. QUALITY OF CONSULT- Dr. Brown asked lots of questions to understand the underlying issue and provided next steps (which included a prescription) to get me back on my feet. He's very resourceful and took a patient-centered/integrative approach. FRIENDLINESS- Dr. Brown was compassionate and easy to talk to. ****** Cons ******** ********************** DISCLOSURE OF FEES/INSURANCE- While it's mentioned on the website that this is a "cash" operation (i.e., no insurance accepted), it should be mentioned in the very beginning of the call and not towards the end of the consult. The fee is typically $200 for a phone consult, and $50 extra if you happen to call during a holiday. MEDIOCRE BUSINESS OPERATIONS- I asked Dr. Brown during our phone consult for a letter that I could provide to my employer. I had to nudge Dr. Brown throughout the day to send the letter via email; I finally received it by close of business, along with my $250 invoice - which I immediately paid. VISIT SUMMARY/DOCUMENTATION- I received no medical summary, post-consult. A summary with any follow-up recommendations would have been helpful for insurance/tax purposes, and just for my own records. This should be a customary business practice. FOLLOW-UP- While the site mentions the patient isn't charged until the condition or issue has been resolved, this wasn't the case. I received a bill same-day, which I paid immediately. I never received a follow-up from Dr. Brown. In closing, I wouldn't use the service again and I wished I'd gone to an urgent care facility and saved myself $250. My insurance would have covered the expense (minus the copay) and I'd have received the employer documentation immediately and saved myself a lot of hassle. I think the concept here is fantastic but like I'd mentioned, there's a lot of room for improvement. read more

After speaking with a medical provider (doctor) I was taken through aa few steps and we were able to get to the bottom of things. Dr. Brown listened to my concerns and unbelievably thorough. I was quoted $400 and charged $675. $500 for the house call, $75 for travel, and $100 for medications. I was under the impression that $400 covered everything, especially travel. Not sure when $400 turned to $500 plus travel plus medication. If the quoted amount doesn't cover medication, then I should have the option to say I want to have a prescription written so I can get the medication myself for a nominal fee. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because the service was pretty good. There was constant communication from the time I reached out until my case was closed. Dr. Edwards was pleasant during the visit and I felt confident in his suggested approach to treatment. But he misquoted me on the cost. Not cool man. read more

I called them and was quoted a price of $450 for a Doctors visit. I agreed and they came but it was a nurse not not a doctor. Lie #1. They gave me some pills ( a 4 day supply) instead of writing a prescription. Since they said they can provide the pills and I don't need a prescription I assumed it fell under be $450 I was paying. Lie #2. Three weeks later I got a bill for $950, over TWICE what they told me. They charged $675 for the visit (from a nurse not a doctor as the name of the company will lead you to believe) $75 for the medication when a prescription would have been less than$1 for the same amount of pills. And $200 for a shot. Not at any point were we told a word about these extra costs. To be quoted $450 then get a bill over twice that with NO warning is fraudulent in my opinion. read more

If your fees are not posted on your website, you should obtain consent to the fee before proceeding with the consult. Not to accept insurance is a choice, but a homebound patient may not be able to afford those fees out of pocket. read more

OK I live in the Los Angeles area and my son is in Washington DC. Initially he went to ER and was probably misdiagnosed with a bacterial infection. He was in a bad way having lost a lot of weight and in a lot of discomfort. My wife and I were very concerned about him. We contacted Doctors to you and Dr.Gary called me within 10 minutes and he fully understood our concerns and drove to see my son in DC. He examined him and decided he was very, very dehydrated, dangerously so. He drove him to ER and he was admitted that night. Dr Gary called me to give me an update with his condition. Dr Gary ensured there was follow up and even contacted me today. My son left hospital 2 days ago after 5 days care. I highly recommend this vital service. Excellent service. We were visiting from Texas when my daughter began feeling unwell. Within 1 hour of requesting an appointment, Greg was at our hotel. He quickly diagnosed my daughter with appendicitis and was kind enough to drive us to the hospital. Dr Brown even called to follow up once we were back home. They will fraud you for house call fee (not disclosed), prescription (never asked for consent on charge and was told they have medication provided). Doctor was nice but prescribed a wrong type of antibiotics that is known to be not effective with a common infection. I had to see another care provider 2 days later and my primary care provider a day after that. Both of the MDs were not convinced by the choice of antibiotics since it has some nasty side effects and the alternatives could have been better. Overall, I am ok with the doctor quality but disgusted by how they run their business, preying on the sick and those who need urgent, last minute help. AVOID. read more

Dr Brown is the only doctor you will ever need. He is prompt and very knowledgeable. He also has a great network of referring specialists. He is a patient advocate and always finds the best course of treatment. Above it all, he is humane. His care does not stop the moment he walks out of the door (he constantly checks in on the progression of the condition and makes sure it is resolved). I would recomend him to my mother, my friends, anyone. Even though he does not take insurance he is worth every penny- dont think twice about calling him. I can't say enough great things about Doctors To You. While traveling around the United States last summer, I became very ill and on the urging of my wife, reached out to Doctors To You. This service was quick, thorough, and careful. The doctor made it possible for me to continue my travels, and was incredibly inexpensive considering the service you receive. I talked to the doctor whenever necessary, he followed up regularly through phone, text and e-mail. He came to my hotel room, prescribed antibiotics and directed me to do other things to address a horrible sinus infection that had me flat on my back. The follow up and follow through are better than anything you could receive from a regular doctor's office or HMO. I honestly wish I had Dr. Brown as my personal physician. Having worked many years in health care, I haven't met a better, more conscientious doctor. Also, strangely enough, my wife got extremely ill in Virginia, and we had to rush her to an emergency room, where she was treated all day. Let me say, we compared notes about the treatment, both medical and social, and agreed we'd rather use Doctors To You for any care we needed, if traveling in the D.C. Metropolitan area. I don't know why it took me so long to write this... Dr.Brown is not only an amazing doctor but he runs, from what I can tell, the only mobile physician service in DC. To me, this is one of the most important things to have-especially living in a big city where everyone is busy and docs don't make house calls. I woke up with a completely debilitating muscle cramp in my neck that had me in tears and I had no idea what to do. I was positive that I needed to see a doctor but not sure an ER would take it seriously. I needed to be at work that day until 5pm and had to go in the next day by 8am, I felt completely lost. I found Dr. Brown after googling "home doctors, mobile doctors, etc". We texted (a millennial favorite!) back and forth in the afternoon and he was at my house a few hours later. He was so gracious and kind... and he carried EVERYTHING I ended up needing with him. I gave his info to the Concierge at my work and I rave about him all the time. I don't have a primary care doctor in the area, and was so impressed when Dr. Brown called me (at 6:45 a.m.) within twenty minutes after me submitting an inquiry through the Doctors to You website. Despite having never met me before, he was kinder than the other doctors I've interacted with in the DMV area. He took the time to talk through my situation and options on the phone, gave me a recommendation for a facility to get an x-ray and kept in contact with me to make sure everything was resolved properly. House calls can be scheduled in convenience with my time, and in non-emergency situations I can continue working at home (rather than sitting indefinitely in waiting room purgatory). Clearly while many industries are moving towards technological advances to help their customers, create a more efficient business, and diminish antiquated process....health care is catching up. I only called this business because of the Yelp reviews. I felt like crying in the middle of the night because of the pain in my throat and chest. The LAST thing i wanted to do on a Sunday at 6am was visit an emergency room and stay for a portion of my day. Catching a night flight with stacked appts was not going to make a ER visit ideal on THIS day. Dr. Brown...a real live person....on my phone...called me back. We talked or I squealed my symptoms. He asked all the pertinent questions about other mwdications, other illnesses, describing the situation and by the end of the convo he had sent a prescription to my local pharmacy (which wasn't even open yet) and also recommended two over the counter aids to soothe my pain. He described how to take the medicine and asked that I text after my first dose. This part was important because unlike written instruction on discharge papers I will always have my phone with me and can reference his specific notes. I am already feeling 10xs better than I did at 4am this morning. I feel confident about my health while getting on my plane for the holidays. And most of all....I am thankful I didn't have to spend hours waiting for a doctor to tell me some shit I already know about my diagnosis. read more

Y-ahs!! There's a doctor in the house! This is an incredibly fantastic service, especially if you're not sure if you should go to the ER or just try to treat your situation at home. Nervous after a couple of family illnesses became unexpectedly critical, I wasn't sure if I should go to the ER after I cut the top of my foot when I dropped a bottle. After the first ring, THE DOCTOR (Dr. Brown) picked up and patiently went over with me what happened and what the wound looked like. He suggested I try his remedy first before going to the ER, where they would take x-rays and probably tell me the same thing he would tell me, if I could stand on my foot and the wound was due to a laceration. I followed his directions to the T, and 2 hours later I'm as good as new - ready to dance the jig. read more

First of all, you're not getting a doctor; you're getting a physician's assistant who is in communication with a doctor. I have no complaints about the service itself. But I really have a problem with charging me $150 to travel 20 miles, charging me $50 to describe on the phone what I needed and charging me $600 for a less-than-one hour visit. It took a month to get a receipt from them and it's a receipt I could create on my PC so it's worthless for filing an insurance claim. If you're in a situation where you are too sick to go to an acute care facility, then they do provide a good service, but it definitely comes at a cost! read more

Our family has used Dr Ernest Brown several times over the past year. We are busy professionals and appreciate the convenience and efficiency of the Drs to You service. I notice many reviews complain about pricing. Medical care is not cheap anywhere. Caveat emptor. Always ask questions. If, for example, we are sick at 9 pm on a Tuesday night the only option is to sit all night in an emergency room. Our jobs are very demanding, and we try hard not to be absent. How do you work on no sleep? Drs to You arrive promptly and get you taken care of quickly. In just a couple of hours you can be asleep so you can make it to work provided your illness doesn't require bed rest. That in itself is worth every penny. As for Dr Brown, we have found his treatment to be courteous & thorough. He explains everything in detail and patiently takes the time to answer any questions. The best part is that Dr Brown always follows up many times either by text or phone to find out how the treatment is working & he gives recommendations to ease any discomfort. Given our busy urban lives, Dr to You are a welcomed Godsend. read more

I can't begin to express how appreciative and grateful I am for Dr. Brown. I was in between jobs and was currently uninsured at the time and was desperately trying to find a doctor to treat me. Dr. Brown returned my call, assessed my symptoms, and took the time to properly diagnose what was going on. He educated me on the importance of preventive measures such as taking active probiotic cultures and drinking lots of fluids to flush out my system. He was incredibly attentive and compassionate. Wow! This is long overdue in the era of technology! I traveled to DC and ended up with a very nasty cold that turned into a respiratory infection. Dr. Brown answered my call immediately and provided his medical expertise over the phone. He was very warm, patient, thorough and informative. I actually haven't had this much conversation with my own family physician during a visit. My own doctor is also not available for calls on weekends. The fees are fair and I rather see a doctor paid directly for his time versus paying insurance carriers. Dr. Brown talked to me thoroughly about my symptoms, assessed my condition and then guided me through the steps I needed to take to get well. He also called in my prescription immediately. I can't count how many times I've been to a pharmacy and my own doctor's office neglected to follow through. If you are in the DC area I highly recommend this service for your wellbeing. As a busy executive who travels it's often difficult to find time to get to a doctor and even more time consuming to wait to be seen at urgent care. I "saw" Gary. To say this service is amazing is an understatement! I previously made an appt with someone who ZocDoc said was a sleep specialist - he wasn't - he was an urgent care PA. He was nice and all, but a waste of time and money because he simply didn't have the experience to help me. The next day, desperate after another sleepless night I search google once again for a sleep medicine doc and somehow came across Doctors To You. I'm crazy cheap, so I was a little concerned at what the service might cost, but frankly I was so exhausted I would have given my non-existent first born child for a good night's sleep. The cost ended to being $200 - many might day that's expensive, but remember, we live in DC, they aren't going to bill your insurance and if you have an FSA or HSA, you can submit for reimbursement of the charge. I submitted my request online, and within 10 minutes I was on the phone with Gary. I had provided a detailed description of my issue because I didn't want to waste anyone's time if the service was not the way for me to go, but it was!!! Gary and I spoke for about 20 minutes about my issue, making sure I was currently doing things that could help, as well as suggestion who to follow up with. He also asked that I keep in touch to let him know how I am feeling and if the medicine is working. Such a GREAT experience and I finally had an amazing night of sleep!!! I am excited for my sleep study next week to figure out what's going on while I should be resting. I was sceptical at first ... a doctor taking care of patients through text and phone. I wasn't sure how that would work. So glad we tried it ... We were visiting DC and my son got really sick. We were on the verge of an emergency room visit. Searching online, Doctors To You was the only urgent care in our area that had excellent reviews. I called and left a voicemail. Dr. Brown returned my call right away. I told him what was going on and he immediately took care of everything. He called in a prescription for us without issue. He continually checked up on us through text the following days to make sure everything was okay. Dr. Brown seems to genuinely love being a doctor and really cares about people. He patiently listened to me describe my symptoms and thoroughly went over all the OTC remedies that can be used to not only help alleviate my cold symptoms but also boost my immune system and prevent future recurrences. About a year ago, I caught a nasty stomach flu bug that was going around, and I felt like death. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. I was in between insurance plans, and I seriously contemplated going to the emergency room. Then, I found Doctors To You via Yelp. I'm so glad I did. I spoke with the doctor on the phone, he wisely determined that a visit wasn't necessary (probably because whatever I had was so nasty and contagious), and provided me with a prescription to help me keep water down (since I was becoming severely and dangerously dehydrated).
