Moi Birthday dinner two years in a row now…read more Moi absolutely favorite restaurant. The food is so Amazeballs. I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. Beautiful vintage space. Bar area is very nice. Service is great. Southern hospitality at its finest. Very Romantic restaurant. The Casablanca Booth at NOLA, is moi booth. "Play it again Sam" forever & ever. "la Vie en Rose" OuiOui. Highest Recommendations.

The atmosphere is nice, a little more casual than I would expect based on their menu, but not bad…read more All of the servers were very friendly. Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. She was so friendly and polite, we were a bit disappointed that we did not get her as our server.

Number ONE in my Book! I would like to say first and foremost, I'm a white. female, retired law…read moreenforcement officer. I visited Big Momma's often before I retired, and occasionally since I retired (trying to not get fat). I am treated with kindness and respect every time I go there. It's a family owned business and they work their tails off! When I go, I always think about getting something other than the fried chicken, but when I go through the line, I start smelling that fried chicken and I see that crispy skin and I mouth just starts watering. They are the best "home cooking" restaurant in Ouachita Parish. It would cost you a fortune to have the same order at Piccadilly. Everything I have had on their menu is delicious. The family/owners always have smile on their faces. I took my brother-in-law from Oregon here when he visited and he talked about it the rest of his life. If you're a local and you haven't been here, GO! If you are visiting the area, you won't find better food in the entire parish if you're looking for home cooking, but be ready for a nap! I just promised my own brother, who has never been there, that I'm taking him ASAP! PS....their dessert are THU BOMB! AND HUGE PORTIONS, one is enough for two people. Their lunch portions are huge as well. I often got an order to go and split it with my mother.

122 came out to feed our faculty at the elementary school, and while there were some bumps along…read morethe way, there were bright spots worth mentioning too. The Experience: They ran a little behind schedule, and the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal once they arrived. Sauces and condiments weren't automatically offered -- I had to ask. The order flow could use some work as well; tickets weren't being honored in sequence, which meant one of my coworkers waited nearly an hour for her food. We waited on her before eating, so everything was lukewarm by the time we dug in -- which probably didn't do the food any favors. The Food: The crawfish bites and shrimp didn't quite hit the mark for me -- they tasted a little closer to store-bought than made-from-scratch. The fries were just okay, and the wings were nothing to write home about. That said, several folks in our group enjoyed the fish, so that may be the safer bet if you visit. The Star of the Show: The 122 sauce -- now that was something special. Flavorful, bold, with the most delightful little pepper bits throughout. Honestly, they should put that sauce front and center and let it do the talking. It's the kind of thing that could make you a loyal customer. With some improvements to timing, service, and consistency, 122 could really shine. I hope they keep refining -- that sauce alone tells me the potential is there. I'm glad it was a beautiful day for the long wait.

Food was great, love the color scheme of the restaurant, and great service! Will certainly be back…read morewith more family. Only thing I wish were there hours were more convenient.
