I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. The atmosphere is nice, a little more casual than I would expect based on their menu, but not bad. All of the servers were very friendly. Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. My ribeye was cooked to perfection and very tender. I asked for Lafayette sauce to add to my baked potato to kick it up a notch and boy did it!! A three simple because I have not tried the food. I use to live in indianola. This restaurant use to be really good. They took out the bar. This does not seem like a good idea. The first time I came they told me a hour and a half wait. In Indianola ??? lol. I left. The next time was a Saturday evening. It looked slow. I ordered and sat down. Other people came in after me and sat down. The people there left. The new people got their orders and ate. They paid and left. I was still sitting there. By then it was 8.30 being there a hour and fifteen minutes and was just starving. I just went down the street and that was very good. It just got to the point it was getting too late to eat anywhere else. I give it a three. It was clean the. Waitress was sweet. I just have not been able to try the food. I plan on giving it one more chance next weekend when I come back up. Let's hope it works out. read more

Delicious food, good menu, great atmosphere, stellar service. One of my top 3 restaurants in the Delta so far. We went last Tuesday night and were the last table seated. For appetizers we ordered fried tamales, which were solid - with 3 good dipping sauces, and Shrimp YaYa, which was delicious. My girlfriend also got a cup of gumbo, which was on point. I ordered the grilled pork chop with the cajun seafood cream sauce, and a twice-baked potato as my side. It was absolutely delicious! She ordered a grilled chicken salad, which was a very good sized portion. Something else that was really cool - at 9pm (normal closing time for the restaurant) there were about 10-12 regulars at the bar watching the FX TV show Justified, and they were all really into it. I've seeing "viewing parties" like this before in Philly, but not in the Delta. It was cool to see, and added to the great atmosphere. read more

My husband and I ate here last night and we ordered the tamales as an app. He got the pork chop with Hoover sauce and the twice baked potato. I just ordered a Caesar salad. The tamales were EXCELLENT. They were fried, which isn't usually our favorite way to eat tamales, but these were fantastic. We both said they're the best fried tamales we've had in Indianola. They were served with a ranch and a spicier ranch dipping sauce. These enhanced the tamales and were great. The Caesar salad was...not great. The dressing is oil based and very heavy on the anchovies, so I didn't love it. It was just ok. The park chop was HUGE!! It was cooked great and very juicy and meaty. The sauce was good and we just used it as a light dipping sauce. Our server let us try the Hoover sauce and lafitte sauce before we ordered and even though we chose the Hoover sauce, the lafitte sauce was tasty with a lot of seafood in it. My husband didn't love the twice baked potato-he thought it was a little too cheesy-but I thought it was great. All in all, this is a neat place in an old building with tons of seafood and Cajun cuisine on the menu. The service is good. The prices are a tiny bit high, but not too bad. I'm glad we went, but I don't think we'd go back. It's just not a style of food we enjoy. read more

We had a delicious meal here on a random Saturday Night. Bo (I think this was his name - edited to add that he looked very similar to Travis Birkenstock from Clueless - I had a 14 yr old at the table, who made us all aware lol :-) ....) - anyway - he was an excellent server! We had appetizers, cocktails, various salads and of course entrees. All of our food and drink items were prompt and we enjoyed them all greatly - but HANDS DOWN- the fact that he CONSTANTLY pre bussed our table was one of the best parts (for real..... swoon - as one of my BIGGEST annoyances is To NOT have my table pre bussed). This is not a food review, but rather a review on making reservations. We called in at 6:30 and their answering machine came on and we left our name and number. Also, how many in our party (4) and what time. They never called us back so we stopped by there anyway and they had to refuse us, saying they could put us in later on that night...I said no way!! We walked out and went to Lost Pizza in Indianola. We have been eating at Nola's for several years and love their food...this put a bad taste in our mouths for sure!! (no pun intended.)
